  1. Trying to get an RPer bud to play with me but Balmung is locked 24/7, even in crazyhours. I know in the past paid transfers could get you in, but everything I've seen confirming this is from at least 5 months ago, and I just wanna do a check to see if anyone has done this recently so that we know it still works. Anyone know?
  2. Oh is that what that was? I used that last week. My bad.
  3. Oliwat would have Nope'd right out of there and gone home. Screw being a hero, yo.
  4. Comic Relief. The One True Character Flaw.
  5. Old art haha oh wow. Let's just saweeeeep that under the rug there why don't we. Have some new things instead. I put them in the second post, so only click on that one from here on. I'm also bad at finishing things because I'm the perfect combination of busy and lazy, so chances are this stuff will be mostly sketches and you'll just have to DEAL WITH IT. I've also got a tumblr now so check that out for more things / information on the things displayed here.
  6. Hey folks! Oli here. So! While this week's FNF was successful, as you might have noticed, it was not very smooth. The problem is that since this is a relatively new event, there was no odd-number contingency in place as of tonight. Whoops. However, we will be talking about ways to fix that. The simplest would be to turn people away if things can't break down nicely from round to round, but ideally, we'll be able to come up with a fair way that also avoids that. We'll see. One last thing! In the event that uneasy decisions crop up (like tonight), please try to keep the /yell channel open for host use, since things get really confusing and crowded as a result. That's not to say that we don't want you to contribute however, just please try to do it in either /say, or send us a direct message so that you can be totally sure that things get to us. That's about it! Sorry again about the hiccups tonight. We'll have things nice and ship-shape in case this happens again.
  7. Awww, thank you! I'm glad you like it!
  8. I sketched this a year or so ago.
  9. Let's be realistic here, this is exactly what it's going to be. I can dream ;~;
  10. No name yet here either. Chances are she'll be a retired sword-fighter turned butler / bodyguard. Nearly emotionless, entirely cordial. Even when bashing your head in. She is, in fact, so polite about it, that she will give you a warning beforehand. Her secret motives, however, involve disposing of any Dark Knights she comes across, as she believes them to be blights on Eorzea and general threats to society. They also may or may not have totally f'ked up her life at some point. (Some of this depends on the lore that we get for Dark Knights. Hopefully we get something open instead of Yet Another YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE Class).
  11. [Look at all these things I agree with!] This, and forcing borderline fanon for things that aren't common knowledge (and I mean, like, really forcing it, like "your character's an idiot if you don't listen to me" levels of forcing it) are the two things that give me Severe Roleplayer Migraines, which is a real disease and the actual One True Threat to America. Also, guild death is always sad, and finding people that think alike / are similar to that group after things like that is always hard. I hope you find good people.
  12. Clearly to impement them for everyone Good. Because I want all of these things. :U
  13. Hi there! I don't really know much about this sort of problem in relation to FFXIV, but what I do know is that experiences in other games have led me to believe that this is the sort of thing that you should file a ticket for, if you haven't already. Chances are a GM could give you those items back if you provide them with proof of purchase or something similar. You've checked your Mounts window and there's nothing there, right? The other thing I would suggest is that there's a guy in Ul'dah in the steps of Nald called the Calamity Salvager that's able to reimburse certain account-bound / special items. I don't know exactly what he carries, but you could try checking there too.
  14. I have a fighter that's still learning, so she'd totally be up for a spar! Her profile is here!
  15. You can always hit mini-mage Oliwat Kokiwat up for questionable life advice and comical misadventures! Alternatively, there's Adalhaid Rask, a fighter in training, if you want a spar or tips on throwing punches! I'm around in the CST / EST evenings, generally. Sometimes late at night and early in the morning too because I don't know how sleeping works. Feel free to send friend requests and blah blah whatever. I'm always up for stuff!
  16. Anime Name: Everything's OK: The Adventures of Oliwat Kokiwat Main Character(s): Oliwat Kokiwat, Clatterpouch the Mammet, Clang the Chocobo Side Character(s): 81st Maelstrom Foreign Levy (season 1), Edda Vincents, Gwannes Okeswell, the Twin Fang Shipping Company (season 2). Type of Anime (Demographic, Genre, etc): Action-Adventure, Comedy Opening Theme: The opening sequence is composed of black silhouettes of Oliwat, Clatterpouch, and Clang, imposed on brightly-colored backgrounds, meeting each other before going on various, quickly-summarized adventures that usually have to do with stealing what appear to be Letters from chests in various dungeons. Almost as soon as they retrieve what they came for, they are promptly chased away by some large guardian monster. Various other characters from Oliwat's life make cameos throughout. During the last section of the opening theme, they pull all the letters together into the middle of the screen, and squabble with each other while arranging the letters into the show's title. With one final musical flair, Oliwat and Clatterpouch lean against both sides of "OK," and Clang sticks his head up from behind, and rests it on top of both letters. Ending Theme: The ending sequence is comprised of various watercolor stills of Oliwat and the people he knows going on peaceful or humorous day-to-day misadventures, such as lazing around a tavern, catching way-too-big-and-possibly-deadly fish in Limsa, setting the hair of one of his friends on fire, growing flowers, playing instruments, caring for chocobos, racing said chocobos, and other such things. The last shot is Oliwat and the members of the Twin Fang shipping company standing on a Goblet rooftop, backs to the audience, while watching the sun set over the mountains. Slowly, each character fades away in pairs, until Oliwat and Clatterpouch are the only ones on the rooftop by the last note of the ending theme. Main Villains (If your anime has any): None (at least not yet). The show is mostly episodic with minimal continuity. Premise: When Oliwat Kokiwat, the Very Last of the Rattlepacks, finally works up the courage to become an adventurer like the rest of his (now missing) family, he finds that the outside world is much more than he bargained for. From monsters and mayhem to fast-friends and foolish adventures, Oli's life has certainly taken a turn for the more interesting, if not for the better. From one place to the next with his Mammet and Chocobo at his side, join Oliwat as he records the secrets of Eorzea, attempts to find his family, and figure out just what that whole Life thing is supposed to be about, anyway. Other Info (if any): At the end of each episode is a two to five minute short called the "Clang and Clatterpouch Silliness Side-Show," featuring Clang and Clatterpouch in questionably-canon slapstick situations. The shorts are done in a style reminiscent to the golden age of animation.
  17. Also question, because I only just realized that this can be interpreted differently, do you know if they mean that they'd consider them individually and implement them for everyone, or if they would consider them for individual people? I'd assume the first one because the second one would seem like way too much effort on the part of their GM staff, but I wanted to ask anyway.
  18. I want the plate boots / gauntlets on MNK so that I can be like Yda pls ;_; Honestly the gauntlets more than anything, but both would be way cool.
  19. Oooooo, pick me too! Currently I have Oliwat, who is a thaumaturge that is fiddling with ways to mix spellcraft with technology at the moment, and he'd totally have fun with a technological conversation. I also have Adalhaid, who is super timid and rarely talks without using her fists. I'm also often up late because sleep clocks can go directly to hell (do not pass go, do not collect $200). LET US BE FRIENDS
  20. I totally missed all the things in this, so just put me somewhere if there's space. I WANT TO GET INVOLVED I DON'T CARE WHERE JUST DO THE THING
  21. Couldn't sleep, so I decided to do one for Post-3.0 Oliwat, who will finally have a chance at being the character he was meant to be now that Machinist is out. ( Even if it's not totally what I wanted, it's the closest I'll be able to get. One day, in some game, I'll have a gunwizard D: ) After successfully building the Siphon Shot Gun from the blueprints of his great-uncle, Oliwat has begun experimenting with dangerous new forms of Thaumaturgy. Namely, shooting spells out of other weapons. Mostly guns. Because guns are pretty great. He appears in a black-tinted version of the traditional Machinist armor, along with a (supposedly necessary) matching wizard hat. Oliwat Kokiwat (Siphon Shot Variant) Theme Stage Description A really messy room. Stacks of writing and discarded machine parts are everywhere, and odd-looking devices belch smoke into the air. Clatterpouch frantically scrambles around the background attempting to tidy up. Heavy attacks and specials cause papers to fall and flutter, machines to clank and belch harder, and Clatterpouch to loose his footing. Moveset Description Even farther range than his traditional Thaumaturge variant, and greater speed, make for an excellent zoning character. Unfortunately, the damage of most attacks is reduced to borderline chip damage compared to other characters, and opponents can dash forward or backward through lighter attacks without being stunned, making follow-ups and quick punishes difficult. The result is constant movement in order to stay alive, but the ability to turn the entire stage into a Bullet Hell makes up for it. Special Moves (or Limit Breaks if you wanna be fancy) One Shot, Full Stop: A refined version of the Astral Achoo. Oliwat pulls a second Siphon Shot off of his belt, and points both forward, charging them up before letting loose with a large ball of fire that shoots across the stage. "Biggidy-biggidy-bang!" Ecstatic Electrocution: Oliwat shoots a sleep spell from one of his guns, followed up by a large bolt of lightning that either knocks the player backwards, upwards, or against the side of the stage and forwards, depending on whether LP, MP, or HP is pressed at the end of the combo. "Rananananananana..." Super-Duper Revenge-Driven Suicide Special!: A "clincher" special that is best used when times are desperate or when a match is close. Oliwat charges a bomb-like device with the rest of his aether (draining his meter), then either tackles, slides, or jumps on his opponent, based on whether LP, MP, or HP was pressed at the end of the combo. If the move is blocked, Oliwat explodes, taking all of his health, and the match ends. If it is not blocked, Oliwat explodes, tossing his opponent backwards. His mechanical minions, along with Clatterpouch, pummel his opponent into submission. If they are successfully KO'd, the match ends in Oliwat's favor, who sits up and laughs at his opponent before falling back over. Nemesis Still None! Intro Quotes General 1: Oliwat twirls his Siphon Shot around his finger. "Guns are preeeetty cool." General 2: Oliwat checks a few of the knobs and buttons on his gun, then nods. "Time to see if those super-special upgrades work!" General 3: Oliwat jogs in place while scribbling frantically on a notepad. "Science. And magic. Magi-science! I'm great." Against Surilian Blu: "Ready for the demonstration? It'll be great!" Against Adaji Oonarund: "You won't even be able to touch my hat from over here!" Against a Thaumaturge: "Hey hey hey, I'm here to take your job!" Against a Machinist: "Pffff, nice bullets! Pffhahahahah!" Against Flynt Reddard: "Now you'll see how cool they really are!" Against a Lalafell: "What do you mean the big gun is compensating for something?!" Against Edda Vincents: "Master 2.0!" Against Himself: "One day I'll build a mammet that looks just like me!" Win Quotes General 1: "...Pret-ty coooool."" General 2: Oliwat twirls his gun around again. "So, let's get one thing straight, I shot first. Don't tell anyone different." General 3: "Next stop, Garlemald!" Against a Thaumaturge: "Take a step into the future, why don't ya." Against a Machinist: "Heh, yeah, try shooting ice shards next time. Oh wait." Against a Lalafell: "Why don't you compensate for that you stupid shorter-than-me person!" Against Surilian Blu: "Pretty great right? Riiiiight?" Against Adaji Oonarund: Oliwat takes off his hat, and fans it off a little. "Not even a scribble!" Against Flynt Reddard: Oliwat teeters forward on the balls of his feet, and gives Flynt a raspberry. "Tbbbbbbbbt!" Against Edda Vincents: "Out with the old, in with the new, am I right?" Against Himself: "So did I invent a time-machine, or am I dreaming, or am I just totally super out-of-it at the moment?" Lose Quotes General 1: "...Maybe slightly less cool than that..." General 2: "Did I calibrate something incorrectly?" General 3: "Not so hard! These things are expensive!" Against a Thaumaturge: "My aim was off! That was the ONLY reason!" Against a Machinist: "Sabotage! I claim sabotage!" Against a Lalafell: "Small people are hard to hit, what can I say, I know from experience..." Against Surilian Blu: "Wait, something was totally broken, hold on, let's do this again." Against Adaji Oonarund: "Your hat-fu...Is superior...To mine..." Against Flynt Reddard: "NOOOOOOOOOO! NOT CLATTERPOUCH!!" Against Edda Vincents: "...Stand by for Master 2.1." Against Himself: "Well I mean, either way, I win, so whatever."
  22. Props for the most in-depth one I've seen yet :U
