From another world is essentially at the far end of rp acceptability, though certainly there are people who would accept it, and there is some stuff in the game to support it. It's really up to you how accepted you want the character to be. If it's a small group of friends go nuts. If you're looking for a wider spectrum of rp than you'd probably want to keep her origins a bit safer. I've played characters with strange origins before that certainly bend the lore, but I always feel out the people I'm rping with before exploring those sorts of things.

I love this sort of thing and was actually thinking of doing the same for Ul'dah. My character Alexa Rose resides in the shroud and would make a good ... antagonist... supplier of potions... witch type thingie who could be convinced to do a nice thing here and there for some coin or goods. I don't know. I CAN say, depending on how big your FC is, is you guys might consider relocating to Mateus, which has a very welcoming, growing rp group. There's no character creation restriction on Mateus so you wouldn't need to pay for transfers.

I would look for performances to attend to get some ideas from watching others. That's what I did! Also my character Sayuri is a singer/pianist and would be happy to do some 'rehearsal' to with you to 'practice' it and maybe get a feel for it.
