As Warren says it is natural to be self-critical, and criticism often ends up sticking in one's mind more firmly than compliments, but I do hope that you see all of the people who enjoy your art and are happy to commission you! As for that second jerk person, let him draw how he likes and charge what he wants, that has no impact on you! If people are willing to commission you then you're not asking too much! That's the way it works

Honestly, the illiteracy interjection makes absolutely no sense with the world design and common elements such as newspapers, newsletters, and fan clubs. I feel like it just wasn't thought through. I've encountered a couple of writer characters before, and I don't think people really bat an eyelash at the idea - and I think that's a terrific hook for a character! Welcome to the RPC and into the spotlight!

I always tread gil as roughly one dollar in prices. It at the very least avoids awkwardness around someone reacting to a high price, when you meant it to be low In general I don't think the exact values actually matter. In terms of what gil means to Aya? Just about everything ^_~
