She glanced to the highlander and smiled. "Ah see then, lass, ye've two sets o' hands t' help ye recover this loss. An' I wager ye'll make out moreso th' bet'er in the end because o' it." She looked back at the Miqo'te and shifted on her feet a bit. "Now...tell me an' the big man there wha' ye need from us. An' me name's Melodia by th' way. Sergeant in the local Yellojackets here in Limsa proper."
-
In the ensuing chaos and the smoke Melodia covered her mouth and backed off, eyes narrowing as she scanned the crowd that she could see, but unable to locate the Elezen woman. She cursed under breath. "Gods damn it....." She took a breath and closed her eyes, ensuring she remembered that face....etched in her mind. She hoped she would see this woman again, only next time in a set of shackles.
-
Melodia considered for a moment and knew her shift was ending soon. She was tired but felt bad. "Why no' ask fer help, love? Is no' a problem...I'm nearly finished anyway....an' if it'll cheer ye up, I'm f'r it. Th' city's got enough misery as it is without addin' to it because of some spilled cookies."
-
Melodia knelt down and offered her hand with a warm smile. Brusque as she was she didn't want to see such a sad face. "On yer feet....no tears over th' cookies. Yer heart was in th' right place. Ye jus' may need a good tailor fer the hole in yer pocket." She heard the male voice and looked over seeing the Highlander with the mug in hand. She smirked and looked back to the Miqo'te. "Aye....tha's always a good idea...ye c'n always make more."
-
A soft laugh from Melodia as her eyes wandered for a second before remaining locked on the Elezen woman, though her words were playful and directed to the man. "Aye...maybe I am lookin' t' see how this plays out....no' often I get out o' Limsa. An' love....I'm no' near wha' anyone would call pure, 'specially in tha' area." She winked and folder her arms wondering whether she'd see something break out on her small visit to Ul'dah.
-
The dark boot came down avoiding the cookie trail and Melodia let out a sharp hiss as she caught her balance. She was in her full Yellowjacket uniform today and had planned to cut through the Wench, always on the listen for a rumor or snippet of information. And here was this Miqo'te crawling on the ground with a line of cookies before her. She cleared her throat, her long blue hair and sharp burgandy eyes contrasting the yellow of her top. "Ahem! An' may I ask what yer doin' here, ma'am? Ye know this is a tavern? A place o' booze an' people tryin' t' fornicate on occasion. Food spills an' th' like as well...th' cookies are a lost cause I'm afraid bein' on th' ground like so."
-
Melodia smirked as the man asked her to a drink. "Oh , aye, an' I'm sure yer intetions are no' but pure, right?" With a look back to Crofte she shook her head. "I'm no' agains' th' free speech....jus' alarmed when I see someone s' clearly tryin' t' incite a riot. Were this me jurisdiction she'd face a bit o' me heel in th' alley afterward." She cracked a smile, not giving away whether she was making a joke or otherwise.
-
Melodia stood off to the side, noting the Elezen woman's face, her features, her demeanor and words with a note to memorize that face. She grumbled to herself. "Of all th' days t' visit th' city, an' I get t' listen t' a bloody madwoman on th' streets." She remembered the face. A woman trying to start a revolution in Ul'dah was not something she would tolerate in Limsa. "An' why th' hells is no one tryin' t' quiet this one? She's only stirrin' up trouble." She voiced this aloud, as she was looking for anyone she knew in the city, though she was starting to regret the extra day she'd taken here.

It's been 11 months since I first got my FFXIV game and while I began on Goblin server for a few months, I have spent the majority on Balmung. It's my first MMO, my first foray into roleplay and those that know me, know that I have had ups and downs in terms of the game and rp. I've cried and complained about rp...cost me some close friendships I miss dearly. Left FC's too soon, failed to integrate enough in others. I've experienced the positives of rp and wallowed when those rp opportunities were missed or lost. In terms of the game, I still am behind, and likely not to catch up. And that used to bother me. "Why can't I have "x" gear, or clear that boss? What's wrong with my gear levels, etc. Those were common and friends can tell you it used to weigh heavily. And I'm watching now as others scramble so hard and so fast to get things cleared while I slowly level a silly conjurer and it makes me smile. Not in spite, but I smile because I realize I am happy. Happy with where I am and where I have gotten to in the game. I enjoy the storms, and the stars. I enjoy watching silly NPC word balloons pop up, or the insane market board fluxuations. I love the crazy scramble for umbral rocks or soil in Western Thanalan. And I enjoy taking my time. I'm a tank and and a leatherworker. Eventually I will get the others up. But for now that's what I am. The patch has been out all week and I have yet to touch a new dungeon yet. And I may or may not this weekend. We'll see how I feel. All in all, the year has taught me to enjoy the game and enjoy my role in it. And because of that, no matter how long it takes me or how behind I seem, I'll still be happy and still enjoy the game. Much love to everyone on the site and in my server. Just felt like I needed to say that.

Her head tilted a bit as she considered. "Mm....ye say this 'Quicksan's th place t' stay? Tha' may be a good idea.....an as f'r th' shops..." She frowned slightly, her expression still a bit hard, as she was prone to keep on her face. "...no shops f'r me. I'm no' much f'r shoppin'." She blushed a bit, a little embarrassed in front of the three women, sure they were judging her for this.

That's a beautiful picture.

Melodia looked at Aya and shook her head. "I could no' tell ye...I figured I'd try th' local inn...beats sleepin' in th' streets, ye know?" She smiled at her own attempt at a joke and blushed, a little embarrassed at losing her composure before Crofte due to her position. Upon hearing the Roe woman approach she turned her head and her eyes flashed between Crofte and the Roe. The word "Sultansworn" hit deeply and she looked to Crofte, as she sounded like someone she definitely needed in her list of contacts, despite the initial dishonesty.

RAWR!!! Warrior powahhhhhh!!!! I love it when I get a random tell saying hi. Makes me feel happy.
-
Melodia heard Crofte speak and explain her offer, and she clacked her teeth behind her closed mouth, her eyes moving to Aya. Whe she spoke it was frank, a bit stern and yet she smiled. "Aye....tha' soun's fair 'nough. An' while yer talkin' t' yer cap'n..Aya...I'm no' familiar with th' city....therefore I leave meself in yer surely capable hands an' ye c'n surprise me." She gripped the rail a bit harder praying she wasn't setting herself up for trouble.

Haha! You've captured my typical rp experience to the "t" when it comes to spontaneous or walk up rp. -
K'nahli is so pretty!

What are you going to do during the downtime?
Melodia replied to Maril's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
(Skype RP: You hunt down some people on the RPC that have skype credentials, and it would then work like forum RP, only not posted publically for all to read. ) ((On that note, if anyone wants my skype details, I'll gladly PM them.)) Has the Skype, as the kids are calling it nowdays but if anyone wants to rp with me they must cross my username firewall which will make people (people=me) blush when I give it lol! -
*Reads over and nods* Yep! None of this makes sense to me as I still have yet to get my soldiery and what's a coil?
-
Agreed and in a similar boat. Have 1 at 50, 2 at 41 and one soon to be 40, the rest mid-30s.

I'd hazard a guess that you might....I know you need the stats to craft the items needed to get the next higher item. >< I will be experiencing same pain myself.
