Please tell me everyone is adding these beautiful lists to their wiki pages. It's very fun to read about! Sharing: - Jancis grew up mostly on her own out in the wild of the Shroud. Her habits and words do not follow current culture 100%; she will use odd terms and not understand idioms. - Wearing pants her entire childhood, she compensates for typical 'style' by wearing leggings. - Loves fictional books about anything! Currently a company friend has given her a copy of one of his personally written romantic novels. - As part of her training, she will purposefully poison herself with a variety of things to build up immunity. - Apologizes constantly. - Tends to be hands-on with people, touching their arm or shoulder, and does not understand the concept of personal space.

More Than Luck! :surprise: I recall them they were built out of some other guild... Cata or something... Wow  well I feel even more at home now! I was doing a tiny bit of sorting this weekend (looking for colored pencils to draw that rat for Franz) and I actually saw my old gray Game Boy and some of the games with it. The back of it for the battery case is gone and I thought "Why do I still have this?" and decided it was good for self defense as well as nostalgia.

In the early hours, Jancis stumbled into the inn room she had in Gridania. The entire night had been peculiar and all the conjurer kept coming to conclusion to is she had simply wasted precious time. Memeli had called out for help, not exactly frantically, but enough to warranty summons. What the next bells' had in store for Jancis was a wild goose chase that surely the crazed lalafell had planned each minute of. She had always gave a wary eye to the pink-haired woman; but most times the incredulous acts were over sweets or who got to spend time with Lady Jajara. This incident also seemed to ring to that effect, and in the end this "Riddle Queen" was agreeable if not pleased. After that, Jancis was not quite sure. What had exactly happened? She frowned, trying to pull back the details. There was a lot of pink, truly, but had that not been all but a simple daydream of fancy? It should have been, but Jezune had shattered that outlook on it. She realized she was standing in Ul'dah, him looking at her with intent concern and worry. His hand shaking her shoulder with conviction reminding her of their first encounter. The lancer kept checking on her. And there she was, dressed up like a performer! Jancis shook off the spiraling thoughts, focusing on resting. She was oblivious to the problems in Ul'dah, who had won the Grindstone that sevenday. But at least, thanks to a kindred spirit, she was in her right mind. She would have to return the favor to Jezune. Though... if the haze had been truth... how much had she loved Memeli? Jancis stood there outside of Gridania in the river, letting the current rush over her in the early morning. She was grateful to be in the Twelveswood and feel the backlash of aetheric power flush away. She looked at her hands and curled them; it took all night to recover from her blunder the previous night. Lady Tsubasa had something quite unnatural, a corruption written in aether flowing in her veins. Though Jancis tried to overpower it, she slipped up and her force was flung back at her. Luckily, she only had to deal with a bruised back and the poisoning. The thing that felt the worst was failing the girl. Jancis still heard the girl's quiet plea. Tsubasa had lost control of her own limbs and put some of her companions in danger. Master Vann was beside himself with dealing with the situation and lost on how to properly help. That man, Jancis was lost on the curious lifestyle that was beyond most things she had ever experienced or read about. He was so unlike the heroes, the dignitaries, the royalty of any story. He was an oddity, surely, but so was she. This man was like a river within a city, making gil flow like water, and supporting that purpose was important. Turning her thoughts, she looked out into the trees. She was here for another purpose. She was following the rumors on the wind, back in Ul'dah here to Gridania, about a dark-haired miqo'te she was desperately searching for. The wild one had called him her hunter. She took that title to heart and it emboldened her. Standing up and returning to Gridania, she continued her pursuit of her hunter.

Stop the press! Stop the press! Only other person I have heard of being HORDE. I use to love listening to the story night and the other happenings around Thunder Bluff when I got the chance! I joined Moon Guard just after the Wrath hit when Ulduar opened up. Alas, I didn't always catch the fun on the plateau because I was raiding with Iron Dragon which always had something Thursdays. I pretty much just role played with them. ~~ Biggest thing to those questions is: level up first. The gil situation improves once you hit 50 and player housing (while not actually out until next week) is going to go fast by my guess. But there are also personal rooms in the Free Company (also known as FC which is the player Guild for FFXIV) that are 300k a piece (plus some other stuff, level up first). The colored chocobos again require a Free Company and the color thing is a little tricky, but you basically keep feeding the bird the fruit that causes the blue pigment until you get the shade you want. Doesn't seem to be 100% accurate so far. This guide helped me a lot while leveling: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Guide:Progression_and_Level_Locked_Content Then this was helpful for some of the endgame stuff:

I agree with CC's sentiment about it. Having Keru show up really backs up Otto's whole persona. I think one of the more exciting things about him is people are building their characters' personas around. He's a building block for this excess lifestyle. It was also amusing that he had a personal server there, Tsubasa, and then at one point Keru was bored and envious of 'not getting attention' from Otto. I think the big thing there is it wasn't overwhelming even though a lot of things were happening at the lunch: Otto originally wanted to entertain Crofte, Jancis arrived to finish up a favor to the artist, then Keru shows up. Role play thrives on conflict, even if its minor views or outright combat and it made for a fun time having to deal with the promiscuous lifestyle. I wouldn't worry about being kosher. ~~~ For the whole bedroom thing, some details like birth-control I honestly find more annoying than adding to immersion. It's a pointless hindrance on the whole, but if people enjoy that and it adds to the humor of the situation, go for it. Otherwise skim over the details, as it were. Imagination! ~~~ From what little I know of the whole continent, Eorzea is suppose to be the Far West? That's the impression I got from the Doman addition, but the good thing is there can be countless islands out in the sea to the west. Also, Otto could always have a mysterious background. He could tell the truth or not? The story could change off and on? Who would honestly have the gall to question him? Or would he even care. That's always another good option to go for. He could have been a streetrat from Ul'dah this entire time and no one would be the wiser. Now I have a picture of a cigarette-pack-shaped island out in the ocean.. Marlboro...

For one I'm sure you're not a n00b! With that resume at least. Everyone is new once and there are plenty of people willing to help out with all the little details this game has to offer. Otherwise it's bloody gorgeous and hard to stop looking at! I have been on WoW for years on role play servers, particular Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord, so it's great to see someone from that part of the world (of war...nevermind). I also see a ton of people who migrated over from City of Heroes (RIP) so a lot of that wholesome community you'll be able to find again. The Linkshell topic board also hosts a lot of Free Company recruitment posts so it's good to skim through those and see if there's anything that catches your eye. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=15 Welcome aboard!

Jancis smiled down at all the little faces around her. She had brought what they requested: parchment, charcoal, and pigment. While they didn't really get the whole idea down and some dye was spilled all over the entire stack of parchment, the children decided it was best for someone else to make their vision come to life. As best she could, Jancis outlined out their beloved mascot. The kids joined in, covering their hands in charcoal and touching the paper. It was completed and the little ones were overjoyed to create something for their hero! With a sincere promise to delivery the present, Jancis walked off with the precious cargo, looking across the streets of Ul'dah and the Goblet for Missus Cornelia Snickerdoodle's Hero. He does have a way with animals though.

Sounds about right. Once the fire's ignited, people tend to stop throwing matches. Or molotovs, as the case sometimes is. Relevant, skip to 06:25. Warning: NSFW Even so, sometimes the canon get swept away... ... particularly when it's with a handsome man that people can seem to stop staring at and he reminds you of all the warm and caring thoughts with that big smile of his and your heart sways with pangs as he calls your name after getting his nose broken and knocked unconscious... ... hard not to float with the current.

MUDs really were a great way to role play. I had the pleasure of being on a MUD called Achaea many years ago and it was hardcore role play. Cities, guilds, religions everything was ran by players. There were GMs and they played the Gods so they had their own way of messing with the world and keeping things flowing, but honestly they really didn't have to do much. That was a great place. Had PK and everything... Honestly this game is free to try a lot of alignments per say. There are a few recent threads that talk about that and there are some link shells which specifically support evil characters for plots in anyone's role play. Long as both sides are willing to lose now and then it makes for a great dynamic. Welcome aboard!

So loved that cabbage shot. Do they still use Tim cards in Magic? That card game is still quite win; I have a binder full of them all sorted out so I can get a deck ready and lose in a flash! I think a lot of people who role play on GW2 are around; I hear a lot about that game and player connections, small world! I do have a dumb question: in paintball what does your ammo smell like? There use to be this team that my company team would play against and they were semi-pro with their skull-shaped masks and fruit-flavored paintballs. Always knew who hit me and at the end of the day I end up smelling like a bunch scented markers.
