A Prank!! See the whole video too! CMMpaMLZxG4

Forgive me, I thought Master Vann wanted to attract people to the event, not the other way around. But I do have a swimsuit! I agree I would enjoy some conversation between, maybe when the other person is posting the defense and their new attack. Honestly having two fighting events back-to-back on a weekend it's kind of nice for the mix up in the "mood" of the event, per say.

So it is kind of like something that people should be a little more rowdy at? Fighters should be yelling, maybe envisioning what they're mad at as their opponent? I could imagine that if someone is too "boring" to watch maybe they'd be dismissed from the fight tournament...

Oh it's seasonal cute-ness!!

I got to see the first one and that was pretty fun. Wanted to ask about the overall tone for the event, because Spahro screaming on the box top was a lot of fun. Very entertaining. Jancis tried to bet on some of the fights. (Also she still owes Cici like three coins... terrible gambling debt) Is betting allowed? Also will there be a roll room we can spectate in since it'll only be a couple fights at the same time?

Welcome! I do have a small character on Landroval, though with how much time I've been investing into this game I only log in right now to pay the upkeep on my lovely dwarven house. But it definitely still has a charm to it. The Quicksand or the Drowning Wench is a pretty good way to observe role play which is what I did at first and then try thinking up a couple ground quirks to get started with in talking. There's a nice little "shy guide" someone wrote up before that's good to skim through to boost the confidence. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=7345

[20:14][FC] Sausage Fondler severely overheals [20:14][FC] Why does that sound like a newspaper article title?

I am still working on editing the events from Sunday for everyone. I had to touch base with a few people. A lot of people are asking about the next one and one person outright demanded it. :surprise: There's quite a bit of excitement to celebrate Nophica, the Matron so I will get on that in the future for November! And my priority for it is to make it European-friendly.

Tiergan's Thread of Shameless Self-Promotion [No Commissions. Apologies.]

Typically for spamming without question. Harassment the same. Another good reason to is when someone is overly emotional and will not listen, ranting on in the height of their emotion instead of stepping away and calming down. Really regardless of the reasons people feel the need to give themselves space from another person it is a personal reason and shouldn't be overly examined. It's a bit of a futile trek to go on trying to understand someone else's reasons or, more importantly, let it become a bother or enrage. It's not a hit on my character as a person if someone blacklists me, we simply couldn't communicate and need distance from each other. Or we clash. It happens. More importantly, I do not try to circumvent a blacklist. I don't get other people involved in public channels and try to talk to or about them via that. Also, people shouldn't feel having a blacklist is some kind of mark against themselves. It's the Rule of Investment - how much time you spend on people that really don't deserve your time, how much time they take from you which doesn't get spent on people who do deserve your time and attention. Don't neglect good people with others you simply don't get along with for whatever reason it might be. Overall, it won't be a big deal as long as you don't make it one for yourself.

Eeee  what are the hot colors for this fall? Make-up always starts the color trend for all of retail! Welcome to the board! The lore here is kind of open so there's room to be creative, but staying vague and learning where you want to settle in is a great idea. There are a lot of good topics here with lore snippets from cutscenes and dialogue in the game (which much like you I skipped most of as well :dazed: so much text sometimes) Welcome again!

Another MUDder! There are quite a few here. I use to play on one full role play one called Achaea. I know that company had a few of the same style but I never got off their original world. And that sound, I use to try to cover it up with a pillow on the back of my computer. Why did it have to make that sound, geez. The Linkshells tab has a lot of Free Companies but also quite a few open linkshells for role play connections that are either regional or by profession, per say. Also the connections forum is good and even if your time is erratic forum role play is pretty fun too!

Every character's injuries are the sole decision of their player and no one else. Considering no one was aware of this outcome and the spoiler alert is everyone will survive, she died because she did not tend so a wound and did not make it aware and chose to die. That is a very large responsibility to put on another player's character without their consent or prior knowledge. A twist is fun and dandy, but in this case it harms another player's character in reputation and "score" which only their own player can choose. She was killed by being an idiot.

Jancis sat in the little room provided to her in Thanalan and bathed with a bucket and cloth. Once the last of the pilgrims had moved on to their places of rest for the night and the grounds cleaned, she had the chance to heal, peeling off the bandages from her shoulder and arm. The wounds stun almost as much they did the day before, the potent aether energy digging in to burn and destroy flesh still tenderly healing. And that didn't account for the other bruises and cuts that result from a large plate-armored man being hurled through the air then landing on top of on the stone street below. Jancis' skin was an artful display of yellow and green bruises spotted with purple spots. Moraby Bay Docks were, luckily, not as bad off as the warning bells called. The locals and citizens of the dock were tough souls and were quick to deal with the fire and rubble on their own before more Maelstrom and Yellow Jackets arrived. Beyond the warehouse building, that was a burnt pile now, only the adjoining wall behind it had been damaged, crumbling along the length of it a few yalms. Injuries were mostly minor, mostly cuts and scraps, though one woman had a broken arm and shoulder from the initial explosion. Jancis had stayed in the town all night tended to the wounded and reporting to the officers who came with questions. She had never seen an explosion like that before. Quite different from Master Chuchukepa's abilities or any other caster. She didn't recognize the miqo'te "mage" (as she thought), but she knew Lady McBeef with her surefire grin. She recognized Cici's tone, the woman she ordered to lay down her arms. The two arcanists that attacked Jancis she did not know, but their words and their books were vivid memories. Now one she recognized was departed, Jancis recalling the squall of tears that rained down from Sir Iron's eyes. Had Lady McBeef been injured? She had trotted out of the warehouse office quickly enough. The only other, her dear friend and kin, had answers that Jancis wanted to hear. It wasn't fair. Cici had mentioned something about enemies and protection. What had they been there for? Surely not the same confiscated wares that Jancis sought, a painting and some old china, at least not for Ul'dah's sake. What had Cici been dragged into? What of Sir Iron and the house he spoke of? The Sworn and their reputation? What of the Maelstrom and their required response? How could one woman cause so much to go so wrong, and yet not be the reason for her own demise? Only Thaliak knew the truth; it would be a dishonor to fathom other doubts and thoughts.

I envy you. I would have done this, but I had no life savings What did we get? Hmm... Like most others, cooking utensils, dishes, silver (see: stainless steel) ware, and bedding. Running away sounds awfully familiar to me. One big thing was a bed, because it costs a lot and that was a big 'first' purchase. Ended up getting an airbed from Bed Bath and Beyond that was queen-sized and sat at regular height. It got a small leak on one side so it had countless layers of glue on the seam to keep it from deflating. Slept on that for many years as life built up. Gods I think it's still in the closet... need to throw that away.

Wanted to bump the welcome and thank you for coming to the event. Did you play a bard of sorts on LotRO? Their music system is so fantastic and I still peek on there every so often to watch the bands. Plus to pay upkeep on my house. Jancis loves books, particularly fictional ones, so at some point I'll have to make some kind of quest for a special book as an excuse to meet up.

This is calendar-worthy.

Look at all the amazing screenshots!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: I cannot go on enough about how ecstatic I am on how much fun I had. Also we achieved market sound! So many people came I was taking screenshots and realized it. Amazing! The stories were incredible and in our own little "backstage" channels we were laughing and having a fantastic time with how all the stories were a little bit different but all hit to the same themes and to top it off it's all technically cannon because it's the impression and the feeling our character gets, very personal. Garryson - Very manly I took it Leanne - The verses so lovely I got it in a PM beforehand so I got to just girl-geek-out Vaughn - Beautiful music and beautiful transition into the story time Warren - A little light-heart and very animated Xenedra - lovely story that pulled us in The song and the music. I listened to that music all night (plus I was privvy to it early so it twas many a hour!) really set the theme and the mood and made the immersion all the more relaxing and gave it a warmth to go with the text. Note to self: making everyone cheer out of no where does not work.:roll: All the guards looked fantastic and even though they were a stoic figure piece to most people, they had a secret job which blew my mind and made such a difference to the event in keeping it running smoothly and letting everyone else focus on their own reactions. Coatleque - Huge help in speaking to linkshells on my behalf and helping people find their way to the event Jaques - Greeting people, getting them in range to 'listen' and helping them feel welcome Xydane - the tough, a little off-put guard that stared out the tunnel the whole time to make sure no baddies came (thank you so much for making it after I got lost in the sea of text) Z'enath - Quiet guard keeping me level headed by reassuring me constantly "Yeah it's good" Sigurd and Reinette finished off the evening with some personal prayer and discussion which really brought the night together. The timing with them worked out so well as people came up one at a time or prayed on their own in front of the statue. It was all off the cuff and the improv worked out so well. I hope the party-chat emotes during the performance was a good method for everyone to still reply and talk to each other while getting a personal experience with the stories and songs. A few people replied at the start for offering their party for any people who showed up a lone and wanted people to interact with. I know there was a one person I failed to reply to, so big apology from me. Everyone found a party that wanted one. I have an MS Word document (at home - I'm at work) that's 46 pages long to go through and sort out the stories and discussions afterwards to post here for everyone who couldn't make it. I got screenshots up through the performance and I got swept away by all the people afterwards. There were a few people I stopped talking to mid-discussion and I apologize. Hosting had a lot of whispers and whatnot so I did lose a bit and tried to keep everything touch-and-go. But big thank you to everyone for talking to me and I'm so sorry if I was a little overwhelmed to properly respond. I'm at work right now, still giddy, so tonight I should have some of the screenshots and stories up then sort out everyone's personal prayers and discussions to share here.

There are aggressive creatures at about level 12 heading to Highbridge from Ul'dah let me know if anyone needs help getting there. Okay... just a couple hours beforehand. No pressure.
