Well, apparently according to the description of the Lava Crab, the Thaumaturges' Guild has cast it enough to know what amount of heat it generates. The quote in question : "Only recently discovered, natural scholars are still at a loss as to how any creature, this crab included, can survive in scalding liquid rock. Tests conducted by the Thaumaturges' Guild have found that the hard carapace can withstand heat up to that generated by Fire IV." Most likely it was just the fluff writer wanting to show how resistant it is without thinking, but yeah - could the Thaumaturges' Guild have some black mage dudes that don't deal through Lalai?

When you think about it, putting a Lala in a Roe's armor is kind of a bad idea.

So, Kellach is in a bit of a bind. The mask he typically wears has a Vanya Silk component that's falling off and he needs it fixed. He also seems to have found a sword that should be in a museum. It glows when he wields it. He wants to know what is it and if he'll have to relinquish it.
