Oh man the only people I can think of in terms of songs are the characters I've not RPed with. So, in short, everyone but Kellach lolz. Oblivion Leaf As someone who was born under a very grim fate (Oblivion is actually a given name as her actual Roe name would translate into something else that's somehow worse - Oblivion is similar, however) to the point where she believes she shares a special relationship with Thal and his realm. Since nothing I really listen to fits her, here's what I'd use (just... replace any mention of Spinal with Thal and it fits, really) jdovlP7uwDw Aurimont Balzac Forget what I put before, this is the one that fits him a bit more. Gratuitous French because Elezen + fits more his Duskwight Gladiator esthetic + song about the obligations of fitting in a society you hate everything about. To be honest, this is so fucking obscure I really thought I couldn't find it on Youtube. BY729vt4bY8

the only influence I've had on most of my characters is the lipstick matches color on their dyejob/clothing that JoJo's (mostly part 5 onwards) got going on.

WELL IN REALITY MAGIC DOESN'T EXIST SO THEY'RE SCREWED ANYWAY HAHAHA. This is why arguing about reality or actual combat is bad. Especially since this is a crafted work of fiction. AKA you decide what happens.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE.

Considering the lengths at which the Company of Heroes goes to dissuade people from fighting them, I'd probably see that as a MASSIVE warning. Tempering = More enemies to fight, not just dead foolhardy people. Hence why it'd be an easily seen warning.

Can confirm as a shy person, across multiple games. It's really dumb sometimes but I'd be more comfortable if I could actually do the application process in-game. I know why there's websites and all but I dunno, it'd be more comfortable for me. Like, if after that I have to join another forum for info or whatsits no problem but for the initial app? Eh. just mah 2 gil is all.

I am also curious as most if not all my characters are about the adventuring life somewhat.

Also who's to say that Eorzean physics = Earth physics.

So, uh. Robotic sexual harassment level 15 Goldsmith quest. Minor, but wholly unnecessary.

Truth Serum! Questionbox sort of thing.

The unknown adventurer flipped back his locks. They'd slipped in front of his face, and they were starting to poke into his eyes. The questions, once more, arrived, and he was still forced to answer. "If I had a week? Aye... That is hard to answer. I don't believe I'm old enough to even contemplate my own mortality. Even with the profession I've chosen to have, I don't think about how I might die. I think about how I might be victorious..." He takes a sip of tea, somehow a cup had been slipped under his fingers. He had no recollection of such a thing. "Yes. I think I'll go with that. I'd go out swinging, in the midst of battle, and my request would only be that this sacrifice of mine wouldn't be in vain. Although I suppose I am vain for requesting that..." he let his sentence drawl out with a nervous laugh before continuing with the other question. * * * "Love? My... Is everyone on Eorzea concerned with grand matters? How far would I go for it? I'd like to say, to the death, but it'd be irresponsible of me to die before even tasting the fruits of love. Maybe my resolve isn't steeled enough for it?" He took another sip of the tea. * * * He nodded to himself, before a simple thought escaped his lips : "What place in Eorzea means the most to you?" "Me, it'd have to be the sight of Limsa Lominsa from the Rhotano Sea, right after the sun has set, and the stars shine on, illuminating both sea and land. That is when I understood the majesty of this continent, and one of the reasons why so many are attracted to it." -
Congrats!

Syndicate 'Lawful Neutral' group (some 2.3 story spoilers)
Kellach Woods replied to Seriphyn's topic in RP Discussion
That's the thing. You have like... the entire Ul'dah levelling experience saying that the Syndicate are bad news, with only Hildibrand quests remotely putting a positive spin on them (with the revelation that Godbert is part of the Syndicate). Couple that with the fact that typically RPers will want to be the Hero, and Heroes aren't villainous... that doesn't help. Good luck in your search! (because I have no character that would be interested ) -
"Ugh I need to update my character's Wiki"

Syndicate 'Lawful Neutral' group (some 2.3 story spoilers)
Kellach Woods replied to Seriphyn's topic in RP Discussion
Keep in mind that with the power Lolorito himself is alleged to have, it's not and never will be a question of resources beyond whether or not he is satisfied with what he has (hint he isn't). Same with the Sultana (who's more busy with the crown that got jacked than the suffering of her people) considering the feast she puts on for the return of the crown. From 1-15 you're essentially seeing just how much of a douchebag Lolorito is without ever seeing him, with the questline in Horizon directly saying that yes he is aware and outright CONDONES the bribes/what have yous that have happened. However, the other cities have their share of douchebaggery. It is somewhat less apparent in other cities but the whole point (and this is something I actually quite like about Eorzea itself) is that none of the cities can actually claim to be better than the other one on either treatment of refugees, internal and external affairs or even primal influence. -
I'm kinda glad I designed Kellach to look the way he does. It weeds out those people right away. I kinda laugh at the ERPquisition that happens in MMOs. On one hand it's kind of understandable that people do not want to get subjected or enrolled into plots that heavily feature it. However, to go to that extent is outright ludicrous. Plus, if there wasn't ERP, we couldn't have ERP blowups/mistells.
-
Although "shouldn't" is more because adventurers are wont to go out there and do shit. If you're chilling in the Quicksand at all times chances are you are not an adventurer.
-
Although I'd wager the person looking for lesbian Mi'quote ERP probably did that out of necessity as a massive portion of the server is catpeople. RP front is awright. People are accepting of newer people, plotlines are advancing and yet still fresh, etc.
-
I've played with people who stuck so adamantly to the lore that they outright refused to RP with anyone that would sport any sort of deviation, even if it was allowed by the MMO's game system. At the very least, however, they were knowledgeable about the lore. This guy's got no clue tho.
-
Thanks for the quick responses. You guys are pretty awesome at finding all the lore stuffs. I think I escaped that situation by saying that I was from the same continent as Doma but not from Doma. Mostly from a place that wouldn't even rise up against the empire because it's essentially a lonely farm in the middle of fucking nowhere.
-
Well, we all know of Eorzea, and now Doma. One of my worries as someone who has a character that's from another continent is that as the world gets mapped we'll eventually run out of places to come from. If none of them fit the narrative that I have, I'm kind of drawing a blank as to what to do about that. This only came up because it was immediately assumed I came from Doma which I stupidly acquiesced without knowing the background so it was hella weird when the whole refugee thing came about.

I self-published the canadian girlfriend equivalent of a book.

Syndicate 'Lawful Neutral' group (some 2.3 story spoilers)
Kellach Woods replied to Seriphyn's topic in RP Discussion
I'm pretty sure anything remotely intellectual involving either the Jackets or the Maelstrom goes through Maelvaan's Gate. They even do audits at the behest of Limsa authorities! If it wasn't for the fact that the Brass Blades are an extremely unsympathetic sort in the story I'd be down for the group being Lawful Neutral. The FIRST thing you see them do is straight up set up someone for a bribe. That does not seem like anything someone lawful neutral would do. -
The "license" has more to do with the authorities likely wanting to know who in the hell is passing through their town and what exactly they're capable of (so they can contract them or watch them or etc.) I have a hard time not RPing the adventurer aspects. Although I guess if I actually levelled my Lala so it can say BRD I could start having him move from town to town and tell stories.
-
Who the hell thought pirates and ninjas in the same city was a good idea? It's actually pretty cool because of all three cities I can see rogues being more out in the open in Limsa than anyplace else.
-
About the whole romance is a driving force in narration... it's also because it's often seen that people latch on to this idea that it has to happen and try to force it. As though nothing you do matters unless romance is involved.
