Might want to say that you can have other occupations than being Sultansworn. I mean, that little lala didn't look like any sultansworn when I first met him!

Would you be interested in borrowing a small house?
Kellach Woods replied to Titor's topic in RP Discussion
Honestly yeah, renting a venue IC sounds like incredible opportunities for RP. -
The amount of stuff you can do with Aether is absolutely astounding. I personally like the idea, but I am far from a lorebuff. Also, Gridania. I guess Neyra can craft a good tale from your experience, but that's it for my roster ^^;

Didn't mean quality, meant mostly approaching peeps. BUT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT WELCOMING THIS NEW PERSON SO LET'S DO THIS. PARTY AT THEIR PLACE.

Also screws anyone who can't log in as soon as the servers are up due to how fast those were snapped up. Titor, I think the decision to not have instanced housing has more to do with a design decision of wanting the house to be there in the actual world in a way rather than inability to do so. I mean, I have no practical or theoretical ability in coding or anything of the sort and even I could see a way they could possibly do it if that's not the intended design. Might be just a bad idea. Those happen!

Letters to my mum (OOC Welcome! / Journal kind of!)
Kellach Woods replied to Kellach Woods's topic in Town Square (IC)
Dear Mum, While the last letter you sent me raised your concern about spreading myself too thin, there is also the problem that without gil, I can't exactly feed myself or house myself. I have taken an apprenticeship at Naldiq and Vymelli's, but the jobs right now are more of a landbound errand boy than actually learning how to bend metal to my whim. That is not really a problem, since I have my hands full at the Arcanists' in between errands. Although they likely brought me on in case bandits attack, since I can defend myself with all the training I've been doing. Speaking of places to house myself, I'd not imagined it but the housing market in Eorzea is astounding! They recently opened new places near the cities to build houses, and they were sold out in a single day! People are coming here from all over, and they want to stay and help develop this land. It really feels like a brand new world when I think about it. I've also taken on job training for the XI:7 company, mostly as a bookkeeper and man-at-arms, although looking at the people I've met already, they certainly do not need any of my talents in the latter. They're all very strong so you don't have to worry about me getting involved in any fighting that isn't necessary! Is big brother doing all right? He hasn't written to me yet. I understand that he is likely busy with the farm but I'd wager even father would want him to write to his little brother. If he writes me, I'll buy him a gift from Ul'dah when next I am there and send it. It won't be an expensive gift, but still, I miss playing and talking with him. Not enough to come back, but certainly enough that I want him to write me next time. In any case, all is well here and I hope all of you are safe. May the Elements favor the harvest. Your son, Kellach. -
That is all of the fine and adventuring is the best thing. Welcome. I am a person who tries to RP and often fails.

UPDATES - Solyne Wynn and Oblivion Leaf deleted, characters will be reworked. While Oblivion will keep essentially the same story, Solyne will have a change in name and story. Their starting classes will also be switched. (Oblivion - Pugilist, ???? - Lancer) - Neyra Elra added as a character. He's a folklore lovin' storytellin' heck of a lalafellin', who's also on the look out for as much lore as you can get him! After all, all the best stories have a hint of truth to them... - Added XI:7 as primary linkshell and as a linkshell I hang out on.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD! NA MARCH 17, JPN MARCH 19
Kellach Woods replied to Kage's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
They also included FFMQ and I doubt we'll see a HD remake of that anytime soon. They wanted Curtain Call to be the definite version of the series on 3DS, so they threw everything and the kitchen sink in (FFMQ is the kitchen sink even if BENJAMIN WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY THEATHRHYTHM PARTY FOREVER ilu my sarcastic knight in blue. the game might not hold up but I loved the characters). I'll pick it up if I have a bone by then. I'd go with PS4 but... dangit sony announce something I want and isn't cross-gen already. -
I'm also interested. I've a few characters, but my main is Kellach, obviously. He also happens to write letters, too.
-
sounds like reason #3 - must pay attention to the tonzeage of the attack. I remember the first time I encountered swing, I thought I could just go behind him. Nope.

I think with the last RP session I had, I can add the following to Kellach : Is stupidly good at poker. <.< >.>

I consider perma-death as you die in RP and delete the character. As such, I wouldn't consider anything like that - Mostly since usually death is extremely cheap and proper gravitas is not given to someone dying in RP. I'd not allow Kellach's death being a cheap plot device. That doesn't mean he won't, or cannot lose. Just that if someone wants to kill him they'd better have a damned good idea to propose because right now I don't see his death as anything I'd desire. Any of Aurimont, Neyra, Solyne (especially her - much as I love the concept I really only did that to have a drunken MNK) or Oblivion, sure. My main is a whole other ballgame and one of the characters I've grown most attached to in quite a short time. To give you an idea, I have only one character in WoW out of the multitudes I created that I'd consider on that level, and it took me around 6 months and a lot of character development as well as lore reading. I'd reached that spot around 2 months with Kellach. Only my CO main was faster and that's out of respect to my ex-girlfriend, since the character was kind of based around her experiences and that's all I'll say about that.

LAAAAAAAAAAAY DOWWWWN SLEEP MY LITTLE DARLIN' Ahem. I really like that they went out of their way to include the colored sound for the hard-of-hearing. I love when devs take time to make their games more accessible/immersive for the disabled. Aaaaaand Male WAR pose will also be mine. Kellach is far more "dignified" (withstanding incidents on which he sits on strangers' laps or stares at nude crotches for way too long a time) than to have an Astaroth-like pose.

Lalas gonna be the biggest ass-slappers this side of Eorzea.
-
Wow. That is an implementation cock-up of magnitudes I'd never imagined. Good thing I never even imagined getting a house. It lessens the disappointment. It's probably even worse because it just means they'll have to add an unimaginable number of plots to please the playerbase. Still, some good stuff in this patch - more deputy moogle (I still need to finish the 2.3 deputies), implementation of visual cues for the hard of hearing, item comparison, try on being added... well, everywhere. Gap closing likely still a chore in PvP but I've yet to see a MMO that handled this elegantly.
-
plenty of reasons. 1) they're new to the instance and do not know how to handle the 1,000-tonze swipe, the 10,000-tonze swing or the difference between the two. 2) they weren't paying attention 3) they are slowly but surely in the process of learning that not all attacks come with a handy-dandy ground aoe warning

Kellach Spends around 30 minutes each day taking care of his hair and reapplying the highlights. It saves on the esthetician's fee. Typically gets lost in any place that isn't Limsa Lominsa, due to how much time he's spent there. Has a tendency to scratch the back of his head entirely way too often. It does not even put a dent in his hair. Still has a lot of trouble initiating conversation and remains the bumbling country boy he was before stepping foot on Eorzea.
-
It'll get used for trolling I'm sure. THAT BEING SAID. slash-hug is still awesome, and I am willing to receive so many hugs (although for some reason I believe it'll be entirely because of Kell's hair).
-
this will be TOO adorbs.
-
And as Locke would tell you - HE'S A TREASURE HUNTER and not a thief. Also, I think they wanted to avoid Thief because it's an actual job featured in the previous games, whereas Rogue isn't. Notice how far they went to differentiate the starting classes from the jobs that have far more traditional names as they're using those for jobs even if the jobs themselves are sometimes using features from other jobs. (I'd associate Warrior/Fighter with Berserker more than what it is!) Like, the closest you can say would be Archer, and it's always been Ranger. I don't see anyone raising a stink about that. Also, nobody's using Shaman so why wouldn't you not use Thief if you really wanted?
-
Oh no I didn't say that events have to do that, just that some have started to do that lately (I've seen at least two) so that was mostly my concern. I just don't get why SE decided to limit it to 128.
-
Customize a limit break only YOUR character could do
Kellach Woods replied to Pumpkinweed's topic in RP Discussion
Assuming this, I'll put an extra condition on myself because otherwise I'd just do something silly that would be extremely inefficient. - The LB must accurately reflect its effects in a party situation, only brought down to Single Player levels (otherwise I'd just give myself a self-heal and a DPS LB since that's what I'd want most gameplay wise) Kellach Woods (MAR/WAR) Lv1 : Raging Kiss Using his fabulous looks to his advantage, he blows a kiss towards his opponent, using the opponent's own rage against him. (Inflicts Storm's Path and Storm's Eye debuffs. Instantly grants 5 units of Wrath, changing status to Infuriated. The next use of Inner Beast, Steel Cyclone or Unchained does not remove Infuriated.) Lv2 : Brave Bastion A foot in the ground and people to save. None shall pass. (Applies Foresight, Bloodbath, Vengeance and Berserk. When Berserk expires, Pacification is not applied. The next 2 uses of Inner Beast, Steel Cyclone or Unchained do not remove Infuriated.) Lv3 : Lambs to the Slaughter Beckoning the foes before him with a mighty swing of the axe, his fearsome presence terrifies all before him, helplessly drawing them in. (Draws all within PBAoE towards caster and binds all. Most attacks cannot kill Kellach. Applies Storm's Path and Fracture debuffs. The next 3 uses of Inner Beast, Steel Cyclone or Unchained do not remove Infuriated. Duration : 10 sec.) I'll do ACN/SCH ACN/SMN later. -
What happens when this hits capacity? 'cause I see a couple of events that require going through OpenRP, and since I just now learned that LSes are capped at 128 I'm wondering if you guys have a plan after that.

but if I glamour into those how will I be able to show my swag? (j/k kellach has no swag)
