Oscare's locked himself in a mental and emotional prison. When he's in a very, very unstable and mad mood -- he becomes very murderous. During his time in the Imperial army, he picked up the title 'A Monster Without a Name', and was known as just 'Nameless Iono' for a while. A certain event in the Imperial army not only got him discharged dishonorably from the military, but he remarked "I sold my soul, now I will carry a vendetta against humanity." He regained social interaction ability, which got him labeled as a sociopath because he has not been released from his prison and has no where near forgotten his vendetta.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one whose eyes train on those sorts of things. I can't unsee it since I saw it on day one.

I'd go, but I might be booked on that day, depending on how things play out. >: But this sounds fun!

Right now, the FFXIV fornula is a skill at every two levels (alternating between an action and a trait (petition for AoE Stoneskin lol #rek't inb4theyremovestoneskin)). This raise to 60 THEORETICALLY (assuming that they don't change up the formula but lets not be like 96% of the FFXIV population) means five new actions and four new traits. However, I can see that the general consensus seems to br that there are already a satisfactory amount of actions. This begs the question of whether they're going to be MORE actions, or if these jobs are going to get more actions at all. I think it's a legitimate concern, and I don't really think there's ANY way of knowing besides just waiting and keeping an open mind about it. Don't be The Assuming Crowd. The higher the standards, the stronger the disappoint. (Does 2,38 housing ddisappoint ring a bell?)

I love it when people who have grammatical trouble (due to mental illness and what not) try their best to RP anyway. That's dedication.

Oscare's main weapons are bows and guns, and if there's gunblades, the possibility of rifles (I'd say bolt-action, not semi-automatic) and muskets is definitely possible. There are also several references to pistols being in the game, the best one is Merylwyb who flatly uses flintlock pistols. So yeah, they're definitely there. And it's surprising to see that not a lot of people use guns and I would like to see more gunners about! Someone's gotta give Oscare SOME competition! However, on the subject of this -- I've been pondering. What are the possibility of flamethrowers and grenade launchers? Grenade launchers is kind of a stretch in my mind, but I feel like it might work within the proper context, as there ARE grenades in Eorzea (several quests flatly give you them to complete the quest). And flamethrower was kind of a cool idea. Fire shards/crystals/clusters are involved, so if you connect the gun to the shard in some sort of aetherical manner, wouldn't it be within possibility? Normal flamethrowers use gas, but you know. This is a fantasy game, there are different alternatives and resources. Any input on this?

The only self doubt Oscare carries (and he will NEVER show it without a fight) is sexual doubt. Oscare firmly believes that on both a romantic and sexual level, he is incredibly undesirable. He always keeps this 'fact' in the back of his head, which is why the poor guy is as emotional as a rock. He has way too much esteem to compensate his something. He's just that socially inept and emotionally unstable to think anyone thinks or sees him that way. Poor doof.

The two highlanders look at each other, flabbergasted. They weren't sure what to say. Rodgers also looks severely confused. "We'll -- uh, come back later. Give you some time to think?"
