  1. As of recent day's, bandit attacks are on the rise and raider groups have been spotted more and more. A new bandit group calling themselves the 'Red Legion' have taken to attacking caravan's and military supply convoy's left and right. If any citizen's should see one of these raiders or their groups, they should contact and inform the local law official's or the Flames. They are commonly seen roaming in groups, dressed from head to toe in red and their faces are covered with masks. One of them will always be carrying a flag or battle standard of a sort that is red with a golden eagle etched into it. They are not to be spoken or engaged with. They have attacked caravan's and killed all the Men, women and children on sight, sparing only the young women who they enslave as well as burning down small tribal Miqo'te settlements, slaughtering all who reside within and leaving their severed head's on spike's to show that they have attacked the settlement. Their leader is a man they call 'Lord Caesar'. He is the most ruthless of them and is wanted for crimes against Ul'dah and her people as well as the native inhabitant's of the Thanalan and the murder of many military and civilian personal. His bounty resides at the grand total of one hundred thousand gil. (100'000 gil) If you have any information on the criminal named 'Lord Caesar' or the Red Legion bandit's in general, please contact the nearest law enforcement official or the Immortal Flames. This public service announcement is payed for by the Immortal Flames.
  2. This is actually pretty accurate. As long as you have a marketable skill or your willing to become a soldier for the most part, most people will leave you alone. Alot of people forget about Ul'dah is its kind of like the capitalist mindset of america. If you dont want to work or you dont have a marketable skill and you refuse to get a skill and expect handouts, people will piss all over you, not because your poor but because you dont want to get up and actually work.
  3. My current favorite RPG's are Square Enix's 'The Last Remnant' and any Bethesda game. (IE:TES or Fallout) Give me an MMO with guns, warzones, tanks and sci-fi ships with 500+ people fighting all at once and that involves strategy and cunning to win and I will be the happiest MOFO alive. Also looking forward to Star Citizen. I want 360 degree dog fights in space with the Oculus rift. @__@
  4. Weed. Lots and lots of weed. That or Somus. EDIT: For some reason, I always imagine mages getting high in their downtime thinking of new spells or magical incantations.
  5. Inessa begins to write on the chalkboard. 'As long as you do not go and take the glory or the prize on your own, you can do whatever you want for all I care.' 'Also, take care and lay low for a while. City should get stirred up when Neneji loses his playmate.' ((also, there was no window in the room. Only way in and out are the doors so visual security is pretty tight. Here is a picture of the layout.))
  6. "Then it seems we share a common interest then." Inessa walks over to an empty area of the chalkboard and starts writing. 'Im going to sneak into Neneji's estate tonight and exfiltrate his prisoner. Once rescued, we will care for him till he can flee on his own. This will give us time to interrogate him since we did him a favor and kept him from dying. If your with me, I can give you the details now.' Inessa points to the chalkboard for Meiko to read, then after a moment, writes. 'Partially the reason why we are not speaking about it is because it might get out if they overhear us and talk about it.'
  7. There's a difference between "generic" and "incorrect." Call it what it is. I wasn't being incorrect. I know what I was talking about, I just did not have the time to make a really long post. Regardless, lets drop this. No point in starting fights in someone's thread. If you don't have the time to expound upon something, don't post something half-baked. There's no such thing as a void mage, there was no "master void magician" and stating things that are factually incorrect in a thread asking for lore is irresponsible. Back. Now I can finally defend myself a little. Okay, yes, there is no such thing as a void mage. it is something I conjured up to help identify people who screwed around with void magicks. Second, I am wrong about one person being able to summon Diabolos. Thirdly, I am NOT wrong about people being able to summon minor voidsent. In the 2.0 Gladiator questline, one of the opponents you fight on the last gladiator quest summons a lesser voidsent by himself. Now its cleared up. Your welcome.

  9. "You should know my opinion of him by now. He's a prick by far, but he was extremely forceful and paranoid as well. He acted petulant like a child too. Basically, the generic spoiled merchant lord." Inessa sighs. "Anyways, he was keeping a man in his house prisoner when I went there. I had half a mind to report it to the blades but they would just ignore me. He was beating the man senseless, trying to get information out of him. I thought he would be willing to hand him over if I agreed to interrogate the man and get the information out of him but he was extremely refusing about it."
  10. I know what it means. I was just being very generic because I am at work and I cant spend 30 minutes checking the lore and typing a post. Thank you for elaborating on my elaboration though, lol.
  11. Most people have touched on what you can find out by playing the MSQ or the class quests. I really want to touch on void magic though because its often misrepresented or understood in the wrong context. Void magic is pretty bad news and really shunned on but it doesn't require extensive studies into thaumaturgey and whatnot to summon voidsent or actually use void magic. The only time that you would need extensive studies is if you were using Black Mage powers or if you were summoning a greater voidsent. Back during the 5th era, during the fall of amdapor and during the great war of the magi, a master void magician, who new the most about void magics, summoned the Voidsent Lord Diabolos and pretty much ripped a hole into Amdapor before it got sealed away. So if your looking to employ some of the most powerful void magics, it requires a very deep understanding on void magics and the void in general.
  12. Inessa begins wiping all of her writings off the chalkboard and then takes a piece of chalk to it and begins writing. "So we know that the thief is here to make some sort of statement at least. He took the hat and has left many, many clues behind, as if egging us on to follow him. Many of the clues point to him having some sort of history with the client, but why? This seems way too complicated of a manner to go about revenge this way, so why?" the clicking and clacking of the chalk hitting the board finally stopped as Inessa took a few steps back and leaned backwards onto her desk, intently thinking with her arms crossed.
  13. Yoshi-P said that due to the current unstable nature of the area's near the places (IE: Garleans and the Dragons) They said it would not make sense or be very safe at all for there to be player housing wards in those areas. He said near the end of 3.0 though, we can possibly look forward to an Ishgard wards for player and FC housing.
  14. Trolling isn't much of an issue in this game. It's easily silenced through the use of the ignore system and from what I've seen it's usually other role-players causing issues for their own brethren more than outsiders. We're never going to see any fresh role-playing hubs crop up unless more role-players stop letting a few incidents of 'trolling' scare them off. We desperately need more role-players out in the game world to make it easier to actually kick off fresh plots and get involved with new people. This so much. If people give you trouble than remember this. We are RPers. We make up a huge majority of the server. They give you trouble, just come right back the next day with twice as many RPers to stick it to them. They cant push us around. Chances are that after heavensward drops and summer starts up, lots of fresh RP will crop up then. Like last summer, I really hope this will be the case for this summer because there was alot of really exciting and fun RP during the summer.
  15. Well, I mean, Samurai's are naturally baddasses. They don't fear death. They laugh at the possibility that they might fear anything for that matter. I mean, yes, SE is not one for abiding by real world physics or history often. Rather, picking up a fantasy element that's not realistic to this world. But in general, the classes will usually reflects elements from their real world counterparts. My money is that Samurai will be DPS. Believe in it! ;D Ninja's though did wear chainmail from time to time though. Not when they were sneaking around and stuff but when it came to fighting, they would often don chain-mail to help their chances of survival. (most of the chain-mail was shabby as fuk though and would not last alot of punishment.)
  16. I would have to agree with this. The FF representation of Samurai aside, they historically wore iron/wooden armor and the iron was actually very thin so really Samurai wore light armor and the Katana is not a very defensive weapon at all. Rather, the Samurai combative style was usually to throw yourself at an enemy and hope you died taking as many of them with you as possible, so it would make sense Samurai would be a DPS from a historical and ideological standpoint.
  17. I have to go to work. IT says they need all hands on deck to make sure the network is up and running and people to fix it if it's not. TT_TT Welp, there goes my hopes to not have to work this entire week.
  18. A common enough question that me and the people of the Ishgard LS have talked about as of late. Really speaking, those who are dedicated to their character rolls and is said characters are from Ishgard will definitely get locked into Ishgard till the end of the 3.0 line probably because due to recent MSQ events, all the knights and people Ishgard can get their hands on are being called back to defend Ishgard. With that said, with all the new lore coming out and a new race, the RP landscape will shift a fair bit over to ishgard. Not to mention Astroligians and Dark Knights ahoy. I cant give an exact estimate or numbers to show how big this shift will be but my guess it will be fairly big. That at least the Quicksand will clear out a bit and be less lagy as a result.
  19. "Lady, there is not a single place in Ul'dah that's safe from prying eyes and ears. With that said, if you want a more private setting, we can always move to my office from across the quicksand. Ample enough amount of privacy and the Brass who usually who has a guard position outside of my office will stop any shady figures from dropping in on us unless they pay alot of gil." Inessa looks out to the crowd of people gathering at the door. "Hey! All of you! Get! This is a crime scene and im quartering it off for the brass to examine and collect evidence."
  20. "A bunch of bloody nonsense is what. . . regardless, he is speaking a tone of riddles that hint to something very important. I suspect that this theft was not a simple grab at something rich. I think it goes beyond that. I would bet gil on the fact that there is bad blood between the Flea and Teleji or whoever the rude Lalafell asshat is." Inessa sighs and tosses the hat to the side. "Only way we are going to get to the bottom of this is if we figure out what kind of BEEF the Flea has with Neneji." Inessa directs her attention to Meiko. "I can use some assistance with this case. You help me and ill help you and we split the reward in half. deal?" Inessa says getting back up and extending her hand to Meiko, offering to shake to their partnership if she accepted.
  21. Another IT person here. Same... IT reminds me of why I hate supporting point-of-sales systems. Cash drawers are EVIL OH GOD. That reminds me. . . I may be heading back into School tommorow and that might be the case with my network. Everything wont work and we will be running around like crazy to get the whole network back up. @_@ Well, only if things are that bad. Here is to hoping that technology prevailed over Mother nature. . .
  22. Snow? Good sir, I got Hail, Rain AND snow all in a single night. Ive been frozen into my house for the past three days. Good thing its all melting, though the road's will probably be frozen tonight as well.
  23. I have this German Malenwha that was originally going to be my sister's dog but got given to me instead. Despite her huge size, she is so adorable. <3 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByKKxIyvNvrjdl9iWEhpSG0xS0E/view?usp=sharing
