  1. I don't have any new FFXIV related art, but oogles of art updates, most of which are in the OP! THERE HAS BEEN SOME MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS YA'LL. Also have a dragon! I also do doll repaints now, which you can see over at my dolly world instagram (I do take commissions on dolls, so send me a tell!): https://www.instagram.com/dolliqueboutique/
  2. I've deleted about 20 messages from my inbox, and it still says it's full. AAAAAAH PANIC. Anyway, is this normal or is mine wonky?
  3. Nooooooo I'm still like below 30 on most of my crafting classes. ;(
  4. So many new shiny things! Commission from Tumblr! And anoooother from Tumblr! And one from the Mateus discord! And one for Akayuri!
  5. For the person who won the Bell Ball raffle!
  6. Thanks! It doesn't say anything about the bonuses in-game or on the server selection screen when you rolled on Mateus. I guess they're just quietly there?
  7. I wonder when they'll have the transfer service up.
  8. I'd keep Arrelaine on Balmung, I've got a house, it's all decorated and everything. More than likely, if they did name an official RP server, you'd have to fully pay to transfer. They wouldn't offer incentives or reimbursements for it. I probably would make some alts, however.
  9. Woooo new commission from the tumblrz! Close up of the face, for detailed viewing: I'm currently doing commissions for mogstation things and $$$! See: http://korlynn.tumblr.com/post/160520508840/wtt-art-for-mogstation-items
  10. The reason they didn't is to avoid people flooding onto Balmung and Gilgamesh knowing they won't have an opportunity again for however long. They wanted this to blindside us hoping people like yourself would transfer off. I don't say that to be mean, but it's the unfortunate reality of how SE wants to handle Balmung's overpopulation. What I do take umbrage with is their decision to lock high pop servers now but wait until Stormblood's launch before implementing bonuses or free transfers. Right now, no one has any incentive to leave since it'll still cost $18. They should have rolled everything out together, thus encouraging people to transfer instead of having us stuck in limbo waiting for them to figure it all out. That's actually what I was referring to. I understand them blindsiding us with the lockout for that reason. What I meant was I wish they would let us know which servers are going to be designated as free transfers prior to Stormblood, or preferably just go ahead and open them up now. Doing it at the launch is going to make it sort of chaotic for the community as everyone will be wanting to enjoy the new content, but also scrambling to get this situation in order. Sorry if I was unclear. This would be nice. They really should be opening it -really soon-.
  11. I'd say if they did the split, they would probably generate FC lists and try to put all of one FC on one side. Or at least you'd hope.
  12. I think we should wait to make any hard decisions about another server until we see what servers will be free to transfer too. I think that's going to help immensely, though I'm still hedging bets on Mateus, as long as there's not an influx of people going there. Granted, it would have to be a lot of people, but.
  13. And if we keep refusing to balance ourselves out, it will happen. At that point, they probably won't even give incentives, maybe reimbursements on housing, but they'll just dump us all in a server.
  14. ...you do realize we have to make another, secondary unofficial RP server now. Balmung is done. Kaput, locked. No new people are getting in, and depending on us and our capabilities to balance out our population, for a long, long time. We will get no new people, period. No new alts. The majority of roleplayers understand we have to make a secondary server now. We might do it with much reluctance, but it has to be done now. SE is not going to cater to us, they didn't when we first asked for a designated RP server, they won't now.
  15. We'll likely have a while to decide, SB comes out the 20th of June, I'd say here in a couple weeks or so we'll see them rolling out bonuses. Or at least, I hope they start at least a couple of weeks before SB hits. Gives people enough time to level characters.
  16. I voted for Mateus, personally. Logically, it makes the most sense it would be at least one of the servers selected for bonuses/free transfers, given the unofficial population data. I do think we should wait until they offer these bonuses to move alts or make them, however that wouldn't stop people from preparing for it on the RPC. Advertisements, stories being written, having its own event board, etc.
  17. This. Once the transfers become free, I'll be transferring a couple of my alts/starting new alts on the next RP server(s). Multiple choice is not a bad thing when it comes to communities. They are however limited to where you can transfer. Square Enix is trying to direct peoples so their bonuses are for designated worlds. I'd say looking at population numbers, Mateus especially seems a likely choice for those benefits. I can at least make an alt on the chosen servers, but it'd be cool if one of them had the free transfers, then I could bypass stupid MSQ.

  19. Why would they do all that labor when they can just open up free transfers and incentives/reimbursements for already existing servers? Picking another server for RP is essentially already what you're suggesting, without forcing it on people. They're giving people a choice to move or to stay. New players have to pick somewhere else, while people who have had characters here can stay here. -Forcing- people to move is even worse.
  20. I mean, there's a couple things that they could do. They could re-implement the afk timer. No one needs to be afk on the server for hours, days, or weeks at a time when there are other players who want to actually play the content. They could address the issue of bots flooding the character creation the moment the restrictions are relaxed (causing them to immediately shut down once again). They could officially designate Balmung as an RP server, which would probably encourage some PvE guilds to move elsewhere. They could enable people to group with their friends, regardless of server, for things like dungeons and raids. The bot and afk timer issues, though, would be most helpful, in my opinion. I would have to agree with the afk timer thing. I find it crazy that people go to work or school and instead of logging out they decide to afk and just pointlessly stand around. In other games I have played, if you afk for a certain amount of time, the timer automatically boots you back to the character selection screen. And in my eyes that is something that FFXIV desperately needs, cause face it people do it because they are allowed to do it. I even seen people, who been afk, sitting in the same spot for an entire day. The bot issue definitely needs to be addressed more. Been seeing a helluva lot of characters with the names "wjnfignei" or something along those lines, stacking on each other or just running around the cities naked. I really can't say much about PVE groups though because some of those groups, those I've seen, are PVE/RP groups. They'll more than likely put this back into SB's launch, like they did with HW. They put it back in eventually, though I think they should keep it on permanently for over-populated servers.
  21. SE will do none of these things. The server is too full for their hardware, you can't lift that restriction and risk server stability. You think this backlash is big, wait until the server is constantly crashing or people can't get in for days because there are too many people logged in. You push too hard, and you may end up with megaservers instead (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does make it harder to find RP). People have tried to get them to make an official RP server for a long time, they have no interest in doing so. It won't change anything, anyway. Non-rpers who are already on Balmung and have no wish to move won't, and it'll still be at capacity. I doubt there are many at all who will even take the free server transfers, especially if they have a house. They don't reimburse if you bought from a flipper after all. The best thing to do is support those trying to foster another RP server, because it's been needed for a while. Hell, I'll probably end up transferring a couple of alts myself and adding to it. They've been trying to get people to not come here for a long time (though it's silly you can't make alts, you're already on the server ).
