  1. There are going to be a selection of servers that will have free transfers. Those servers are going to have a XP bonus and a gil reward for leveling. You will also be reimbursed for leaving your home behind as well. Which is all well and good, but there are alternatives already established. I only see the bit about there being bonuses/reimbursements for housing, where do you see free transfers? Edit: Nevermind, found it. Had to go to the lodestone.
  2. Honestly, I don't see a lot of people transferring. It's still going to cost $18. Unless they offer reduced/free transfers, I don't see people outside of the huge pve guilds getting off. The benefits certainly don't make me want to jump at the opportunity, if it were free I might transfer one or two alts off.
  3. Marcie is an anti-social, racist jerkwad. So what did I do? I made a bs reason to join an FC on him and make him have a reason to do things with them! His reason for having to be social is because he's on orders as a Temple Knight to go out into the Eorzean lands and further strengthen the Alliance by helping out and being 'friendly'. Most of Marcie's racism doesn't often show up, simply because he A) doesn't want to get murdered/fired and B) often doesn't care enough to give his two gil on anything. I think random encounters might be a little more tough to come up with on him, but for the most part, think of something your character -must- do that requires someone else. Maybe they're looking for someone, a non-existent NPC, that requires asking around the tavern for them. Maybe they got kicked out of their parents' and have to find a job!
  4. Well, if you want to go with more acceptable plot you could go with the 'stalker who wants to murder and take over her life' RP. It's not so realistic, per say, but with more scary.
  5. I'll be surprised if they do the pre-order again, it'll probably only be available on games already out.
  6. 1) Mogstore credit 2) Wind up Garuda 3) Bismark Weapon (BRD)
  7. Apparently we can't have discussions though, because then we'd be taking ourselves too seriously. We had a two paragraph requirement for our application on telling us about your character. We wanted established characters, not ones that were made an hour ago on a whim and weren't fully fleshed out. They could BS whatever they wanted to about their character, like they could talk about how their character had a thing for collecting forks, but it had to be two paragraphs, and contain mostly correct grammar and spelling. We were a very small guild, but that's what we were wanting. We also had a zero drama tolerance. Minor bouts of drama we'd warn about; the first time you make a really big stink, you were out.
  8. It also means some of us can't/won't know what your responses actually are. Or don't care, I'm not gonna open up videos.
  9. I also expected something completely different. But this is cool!
  10. "What's best in life?" "To crush your enemies - See them driven before you, and to hear their lamentation of their women." Furthermore, just because women -are- equal doesn't mean the majority of soldiers are going to -be- women. The majority are still going to be men. Hell, if I were a warmongering tyrant bent on taking over the world, I'd do order them taken too, and I'm a woman. ...good thing I'm not a warmongering tyrant.
  11. Best way to demoralize your enemy? Take their women, separate them, and make the men watch as you treat them like cattle. It makes the other side feel powerless, and it wouldn't surprise me if the female commanders encouraged it; it certainly doesn't mean they wouldn't participate to help the cause along, either. Women are generally easier to control compared to their male counterparts. Even by Eorzean standards, women are smaller, including Roes, though I suspect they probably put the female Roes to work as well, given their size. Rape demoralizes both genders, even if they only take the women. Female soldiers feel demoralized and humiliated, just the same as the female civilians, and the men are helpless. It's not about sexism, or gender equality, it's about control and keeping the enemy down. It also encourages young male soldiers, as a bonus for signing up. Edited to add: There's one more point, there's only one of the two genders capable of having babies. The conquering army doesn't care if they're bastard children, they want more canon fodder.
  12. I think popcorn could be feasible. It's definitely not in an CUL recipes, but we do have millioncorn, and popcorn's not hard to make. A pan, some dried kernels and a fire and you got some popcorn. Add some melted butter, and you have butter flavored popcorn even. Or oil, however you take your popcorn (I personally use coconut cooking spray, and salt sticks super well to it). Eorzea also has caramel, sugar, etc, so you can make different varieties to boot. Most great foods are made by accident, after all!
  13. Tier 4 aquarium Ifrit bby Of the Round sword and board
  14. Reine Dariustel! I used a Natalie Portman picture as a reference, I really liked her facial structure.
  15. A couple of edits of Reine, and a portrait for EAE on tumblr! For Miho Colle on tumblr!
  16. The Eternity, because over-compensation is key.
  17. Maaaan I knew this one person who would do the weird 'not to anyone' emotes trying to set bait. Like, they would get so mad when no one responded to their character sitting there smoking like 10 feet away. There seems to be quite a few roleplayers like this, but I've only personally met one. I only knew them for a short stint, but no, you don't owe anyone anything. The glancing pointedly at someone's character until they respond weirds me out just as someone doing it RL some place. I'll occasionally use the 'not to anyone' emoting because I feel awkward having my character -not- emote, but I don't expect anyone to really respond to it outside of 'ok this person is not afk'.
  18. Yeah it's a Legacy server, means everything is more expensive. lol That's about it as far as Legacy goes. Otherwise, now it just means you can't create a character anymore because of population
  19. This really sounds like an entirely isolated incident. I didn't touch 1.0 and I've played on Balmung actively since 2.0's launch. Not once has anyone told me this, nor have I seen anyone else saying they were told this. D: Sorry you had that happen! Me either, I started about 2 years ago. I don't go to events any more because of chat spam, it's hard to find anything interesting to get into when there's words a million miles a minute.
  20. And more than two for Elezen females, with the left over options just being the equivalent of make up that should have been in the facial features section. (If anyone has ever wondered why female Elezen all look similar, that's why. It's two faces with or without makeup.) Ugh I know. I always hear complaints about how people are stealing other characters' faces and I'm just 'uhhhh there's not many options though???'. PLEASE. PLEEEEEEEASE GIVE ME MOOOOOOOOORE.
