  1. Feh, motivation. For this game, right now, I got basically none. I log on, I do my crafting to restock the FC chest, I get a soil if it's the right time, I do my daily roulettes on Tahz and Chao (now expert/high/trial instead of just expert thanks to the cap increase). Then, if it's not Wednesday or Thursday, I sit around in the Mist and do literally nothing for approximately five to six hours before bed. I typically try to get RP but it's like pissing into a hurricane, so sometimes I just don't even bother. I'm literally going through the motions at this point. The new stuff showed off yesterday was pretty exciting, even if the prospect of all of my hard-learned rotations falling apart in the expansion makes me cry on the inside. Alexander and the new Allagan dungeon are exciting for what potential they represent for Chao, but even that's ringing a bit hollow as I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that she's not cutting out as a roleplay character as much as she is a narrative/novel character.
  2. There's actually two that are out there of most of my gaggle. Both are kinda outdated though. Only one I can dig up without having a specific person on-hand to ask for the link.
  3. I should clarify. What I've seen of the new gear doesn't appeal to me, but I've not seen a lot since my time has been taken up since getting off work in playing D&D, which I'm generally not allowed to go to other websites or play Final Fantasy because I get too distracted to actually play the game. Yes, I'm breaking that ban right now. That said, my GF showed me some of the sets. One of the new lances wasn't bad-looking, but as I have this thing for weapons with moving parts on R'tahz, I don't think I'll be using it. She also showed me the GS (presumed) gear, which I am quite favorable of...when worn on her characters. But I've not had the time to actually sit down and look at them all, and as game is/has run over, I may not get to tonight...
  4. Not too terribly impressed by all the new gear. DRG AF2 prz.
  5. HRK- that f'in Allagan dungeon. BRB while Chao goes and takes over the joint.
  6. I'm not precisely sure how to go about doing that; asking in either thread seems to me like being selfish and causing clutter at the same time, and sending a /t or PM to the leaders doesn't guarantee word will get out. And I can always delay it if need be. Gives Chao more time to enhance her new superweapon develop the ยต arc.
  7. Still searching for that fabled third Garlean. I do feel as though I want a fourth now to ride a reaper but at this point I'll settle for just three.
  8. Ganale and Edgar need to be drinking buddies.
  9. Chao's greatest flaw is hubris. She believes that she's above the laws she deems useless and that she can handle the consequences that come of any actions she takes. So far, she's been right about the consequences, but her day is coming. One does not use soul-corroding forbidden magic without it coming back to bite you. Ganale is a doormat with an inferiority complex the size of the remaining moon (does it even have a name?) and a passive-aggressive streak a malm wide. He believes everyone is out to get him or screw around with his feelings, but all that pales in comparison to how much he loathes himself. R'tahz is a wide-eyed idealist who believes in the inherent good in everyone and is a white knight (whether the good or bad version of that term lies with the observer) par excellance. (It's a joke that his PLD gear is dyed pure white for that very reason). He's also, in most cases, way too forgiving, unless the individual in question has done something to earn his personal loathing (re: couerlclaw king) Yuuna is not the sharpest tool in the shed. She also will not ever back down, be it from her standpoint on something or a battle (this doesn't mean she won't retreat from a lost fight). She is also insanely jealous, and will jump immediately to violence if someone accosts, threatens, or hits on Hotaru. Seno has gun gremlins (this is a carry-over from his home setting). Put a firearm-type weapon in his hands and the odds are 50/50 whether it'll explode violently or just fall apart. This is more played for laughs than being an inherent flaw because he knows better than to pick up a gun. His actual flaws are his irreverence and being a bit of an instigator. He'll start shit to amuse himself. His retainer, Kazue, is far worse, however. She'll start shit specifically to get him in trouble. Garon has a case of hubris as well, but not nearly as severe as Chao's. He's supremely confident in his skills and equipment (not that he doesn't have reason to), but has, on occasion, gotten himself in hot water because he banked too hard on his reputation to intimidate people into giving him what he wants. Ghost is an insufferable womanizer. He'll hit on anything with tits, except for femroes, because he recognizes that they can break him in half. He also is a bit too unconcerned with the general attitudes of the rest of the populace. He'll say what he wants, everyone else be damned.
  10. I moved Chao out of the QS and into Limsa area a few months ago, but honestly I haven't actually made it any better because now she only hangs out at USH. That'll change, soon-ish, though, when I get her into the Dark Magic II arc. The others don't even really go to Ul'dah. Ganale has a few loose ends to tie up concerning the 2.55 stuff, but that's it. I honestly just need to get out more and play on everyone. Our FC house, too, is a tavern that is depressingly barren most of the time. While mostly you'll see us standing around goofing off on the entry arch or on the roof (DRGs ftw), we're all willing to stop being derps and start RPing if anybody were to come by looking for that. Hell, you want to meet with any character of mine other than Chao (or Ghost), the tavern is where you can 100% guarantee that they'll be at any given time. We are: The Oak Inn Lavender Beds Ward 6 Plot 16
  11. I don't have justifications for my characters who are locked to specific areas. Consequently, I don't get to RP on them very often.
  12. They're what I need to do but I've basically given up on getting them there in time.
  13. ...This should be good. And terrifying for me. Let's see. Ganale: MSQ Complete. Ready for Heavensward. R'tahz: MSQ Complete. Ready for Heavensward. Continue gearing tank as much as possible (as time allows) Get WoD drops for BRD (low-priority) Chao: MSQ complete. Ready for Heavensward. Push MNK gear to 130 (at 123) Push BLM gear to 130 (at....112?) RP more. Bring Myu online. Seno: Complete MSQ? At King Mog, I believe. Minimum priority; Seno has nothing to gain in Heavensward. Garon: Complete MSQ. At 2.1 Get Augmented Ironworks tank hat. Figure out what hands I want to use to go with his powered armor. Yuuna: Get to level 50 (at 18) Complete MSQ (at baby dungeons) Attain i130 BRD gear for MCN. Cres: ....Eh? Kinda no longer interested in this character. Ghost: Get to level 50 (at 16) Complete MSQ (at baby dungeons) Attain i130 BRD gear for MCN. /sobs
  14. I actually run into a problem in my own group over R'tahz's name with a few of them when said over voice. They have a tendency to pronounce it 'Tazz' as said in Tasmania, but I've treated it as...well...the way it's spelled, with the shorter 'ah' sound. Seno also has had a few troubles from time to time. I've heard people pronounce his name "See-no" when it's said "Say-no". Which is probably not how you're supposed to pronounce a Japanese name structured like that but I don't care.
  15. Never said anything about a church in Ishgard.
  16. A few bits are off but overall, not terrible. Dissatisfied that he looks like a damn girl, tho.
  17. It's been so long since I've done the quests for crafters and I snoozed through so many because I was sick of the grind... That said, on the topic of finding someone willing to perform a marriage, I'd say that when an Ishgardian knight captain shows up at a chapel with a squad of knights and says that there will be a wedding, usually there's a wedding to follow. On the other hand, the one wedding of my characters so far has been two Seekers, so...
  18. It's a highlander dude and a...keeper? I have trouble telling them apart without getting right in their faces (this from a guy who plays two seekers), but he was dark-skinned so I assume he was a keeper. They stated in their dialogue they were run off for being two different races, not for being gay.
  19. Those two were outcast for being an interracial couple. They didn't even mention being discriminated against for being gay.
  20. My tribal outcast Seeker got an Eternal Bond with another tribal outcast Seeker, and for all intents and purposes they consider it marriage, though neither has changed names (but that's mostly because we're poor and don't want to waste money on frivolous name changes).
  21. Got it sorted, seems they were at the wrong house.
  22. Uh, well. Being from a military background and eating up military shooters (Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield) like candy, any of those special forces badass types are my bread and butter. Zero Division advertises themselves as that kind of thing, but as I didn't get to play with them, I don't know what exactly they do. Red Wings, on the other hand, I know gets up to the exact sort of stuff that I love, because Chao got to play an NPC HVI in one of their missions a week ago. Honestly, I miss the structure of being in the military, so that's most of the appeal to me in the first place.
  23. Oh, I wouldn't be able to join any FCs. Already got all my characters in one, and a couple even have a line of others they could go into. If not, I'd have already pitched my one big military character into either Zero Division or the Red Wings. Probably Red Wings, they're nicer.
