There's a limit to how far I can act against my nature.

I've first-hand experience of how ineffective that is, yes. But despite my bluster and spikiness on the forum, I don't have the type of personality that goes out and attacks RP opportunities, even amongst my own friends.

No actual advice from me, tho, as I'm bad at walk-up and soliciting RP in general. Best I've managed to do was park Chao in a chair or against a pillar in the QS and pull out her tome, occasionally emote her turning a page or reading or sommat. Got a couple of interactions, but overall, meh...?

If I'm not on Tahz and you want to do something, poke me on one of my others, as I'm almost guaranteed to be either on Chao or Ganale if I'm not on Tahz. (Note that Ganale's name is rendered in-game as Ga'nale). Though if you wanted to do so tonight it'd have to be later on, as I have an appointment until 8 PM CST.

On that note, moreso than Gridania and its people, fuck the elementals eh? The aforementioned blue-and-orange morality from their asses, combined with the "do what we say or we sic the whole fucking forest on you, no debate and no discussion" bullshit. That further, I read in (I think) one of Sounsyy's lore posts that people get smote with Greenwrath the second they step into the forest even if they have done absolutely nothing harmful to the forest, basically getting slapped with the fuck-stick just for having the sheer, unmitigated gall to walk into the elementals' woods, that just continues to grow unchecked unless they essentially consign their souls away to the elementals. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck those guys.

I'm sorry, but refusing to heal a child because some holier-than-thou, blue-and-orange morality abstract 'gods' said so is going to always trump dick-move political machinations in my book as far as douchebaggery is concerned.

It's cliche but I draw a lot of parallels between my own life and some of them. Ganale's history largely reads as a brief blurb of my own life. Tahz's specific number of failed nunh challenges reflects my bad relationships. Others like Chao, who are pulled from other settings, I adapt their backstory and overarching goals as necessary, though I had to basically make up everything for Chao.

Hard to play alone, period. Hence my typical lack of play.

I voted need a reason because my characters ....just sort of don't do anything most of the time. They need arr-peez.

This. What I fear is, with the large influx of Au Ra, many will somehow find their way to the Quicksand and be all "'Sup" as though they'd always been there and no actual change had even been made in the society. Like what they did with Miqo'te? All of a sudden. All the tribes are in Ul'dah for some reason or another. (Despite the fact most of them are situated in Limsa or the Shroud) It makes me sad that I've seen like fifty R' players but they're all from the desert. I'm the only one from Limsa.

I am all for this idea because otherwise my characters loaf around our FC house and do no progression until I get fed up with stories not progressing, think that enough time has passed, and just write it into their wikis. That said, I suggest that perhaps two or more of the systems be used as a redundancy, such as the chatbox and a forum thread, so that people don't miss out. It may seem excessive but having a backup couldn't really hurt. Admittedly, though, this is from a military-experience mindset that says have a secondary for everything because just when you think you've idiot-proofed something, they send you a better idiot.

Three of my characters are Doman--one actively partnered with/soon-to-be-boning an Au Ra lady--so that automatically removes them from WTF reactions. At most, Chao would finally realize just how bad it is back home, and Seno and Yuuna would wonder what's changed to make them stop hiding. Yuuna also would be ecstatic that Hotaru doesn't have to hide anymore. Ganale might not even notice for a while, depends on what I get him up to here soon. Either way, he's not like to care much unless they bother him. The only one he's like to even see for any amount of time is that timid archer living in the inn with that other Doman girl. Tahz would initially be concerned that they're some new Dravanian species but wouldn't care after being told otherwise. Being my goody-goody, he's very accepting of people. Garon won't care a whit unless there are posted bounties on them. Once he hears of their warrior cul....fuck, I just realized how Mando-esque they are... Irrelevant. He'd keep an ear out for any looking to become bounty hunters and try to get them into Apex. Ghost himself is a foreigner and already finds the other races than hyur fascinating, so he'd want to know about them. It helps that that genki as fuck girl that's started hanging out with him, with the greatsword bigger than she is, is one of them.
