The game says it has happened. Now, you can wave hands at 1.0 lore and dismiss it, or you can ignore that we haven't met any of these folks in the wild, but there's a method right there: Do awesome things the Elementals like, receive special powers. That doesn't disprove anything I said. It says "White Mages" implying they were already White Mages. Those vestments are also imbued with the light of Succor but it does not specify that wearing the garments enables the use of it. It also says "true servants of the forest". As far as we know, the Padjal ARE the true servants of the forest as decided by the Elementals directly. The WoL is the hero of the world and is an exception to all rules. It also specifies that this Garb of Succor is not widely in use. It is ancient artifacts that enhance White Magic when worn by a White Mage. If you do not have the ability to utilize Succor, it is not quite as useful. It does not make you a White Mage by wearing them. even if you are a White Mage, it doesn't mean you have the garments. They only gave them to the WoL because hero.

See, White Magic is an allegory for real life, in that we can only ever make the best decision for ourselves with what limited information we have available at the time in the hopes that things don't go off the rails in the future. Damn, SE. You deep. And when the inevitably do, revise. Currently no non-Padjal have been granted Succor directly from the Elementals, so we cannot accurately RP such a thing. IF in the future, we have an example of the Elementals bestowing Succor upon another individual for reasons accessible to normal, non WoL people, we can revise. But as it stands, the only way is to be important enough to the fate of the world that a Padjal can justify giving you the Soul Gem, or you happen to find an amdaporian gem, or you acquire Succor nefariously. We unfortunately do not know what that nefarious way is.
-
It seems more like she attuned you to the Soul Crystal. It also seems that those not given Succor by the Elementals may need to use the Soul Crystals (likely transcribed with memories by the Padjal over the ages) to wield Succor. If you misuse it, she can take away the crystal with her middle finger pointed at you.

Rekt. Honestly you'd have to be a complete idiot to take game mechanics as lore. Our characters all have barbie groins under their underclothes. No organs to be seen. But you don't acknowledge that. It just isnt necessary to have them as visuals. By that same logic, the only possible attacks and magic are the ones defined by the class and job skills. That just isn't an accurate worldview. Applying this to the subject at hand, you COULD very well have a WHM by RPing an actual Padjal. Just because the horns arent on your game character does not mean they are not there. What you can physically see in game is only a representation of what can exist but does not include all that exists.
-
The moral of this story is, becoming a WHM isnt impossible, but you better have a damn good reason to have that power. Don't do something just because you want to. Some of the points in the last two pages are ridiculous. Here's an example of concrete lore. You cannot know of the fate of Louisoux. Why? Alisae and friends sealed the Coils after finding out and are the only beings who know. Not even Minfilia knows. Mentioning the fate of Louisoix in RP is impossible because we have concrete lore stating your character does not have that information. It is spelled out. Willful Ignorance here would be ignoring the sources and facts to continue RPing that you know of his fate. Whether Eorzeans take a dump has nothing to do with Willful Ignorance because there are no facts present either way and I have no idea why it was brought up. It only counta for things that we know to be true. You cannot be granted Succor by the Elementals because you are not Padjali. Doing so is willfully ignorant. It is however not willfully ignorant to play a Padjal if we do not know their exact numbers. It is not impossible if there is not a solid fact. It is just frowned upon. Other examples: If the lore says there are two Goblins in the world and both are male, you cannot play a Goblin. Doing so would be willffully ignorant. Lore does not say there are no Doman Lalafell, but there are no Doman Lalafell NPCs. It is therefor not willfully ignorant to play a Doman Lalafell, but it is frowned upon due to general concensus that Lalas may not have settled there.

Strictly speaking, it is impossible to roleplay any player-created character within the bounds of canon lore. Creating and roleplaying a character requires that you enter the grey and undefined spaces of lore; to what extent one chooses to do so is entirely up to the individual. No it isn't. And RPing in a gray area with headcanon is vastly different from RPing against concrete lore. RPing in a gray also does not mean "I don't see anything saying there AREN'T Doman Lalafell with Doman names, so I can canonically name mine Yukata Senketsu." because you still have to use logic for your bending.

I need a parody of The Chainsmokers- Kanye except Dadarupo.

I personally find the whole, "Nobody can tell you what to RP, so do what you want" thing to be pandering and false. We CAN tell you what to RP. In fact all of these suggestions are telling you what to RP or what RP will be found acceptable. You have the option of employing the suggestions given or having a difficult time. We love to say you have creative freedom. You do! But like NPC RPers, once you choose to step beyond what is commonly accepted in the universe, you alienate yourself. Doesn't matter how many people tell you to play a Primal or a Padjal or a time-space witch or Minfilia "if it makes you happy". The world and its rules were crated by Square Enix. If you want to change how the world works, ask them to change it. Doing it yourself causes problems that don't need to exist. As suggested, the BEST thing to do is play a powerful Conjurer. You don't need White Magic. But if you absolutely have to play an actual White Mage, avoid saying an Elemental gave it to you. You can't play a Padjal. I'd personally also avoid "I randomly found a Soul Crystal while on a leisurely stroll through the ruins of Amdapor." It's kind of a cop-out. UNLESS. You have a very good reason for even being there in the first place.

I want to point out that quality of life for Hyur in Ishgard leaves a lot to be desired. Halfbreeds are probably even lower on the totem pole. I can't imagine Ishgardian Elezen being accepting of HALF Elezen. It's neither Hyur nor Elezen, and therefor not likely to have a pleasant existence. If you look at the Mongrel, her life will pretty much be shit.

But really, love of my life

9/22 Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy Mamrie Hart aka crazy ginger bitch from You Deserve A Drink Martin Solveig - DJ Joan Jett aka the badest bitch that ever rocked Thiago Silva aka soccer pls Tatiana Maslany aka all the characters in Orphan Black

Don't NIN also have access to several elements?

It's really not a big deal until 60, at which point your options are either Eso gear or Gordian gear. You would then stack materias as applicable.
-
I kindof consider Ishgardians a different breed (we will use breed now) than WW and DW. Just like I consider third-eye Garleans a different breed of Hyur than Mid and Highlanders. Ishgardians have a very different culture, and seem to have some mixed traits.

Elezen grew up in the same environment...The Shroud...so it's not like they had much variation to begin with. Hyur--both Midlander and Highlander started in Ala Mihgo and Midlanders can also be Doman but they don't look different than the ones in Eorzea. Lalafell are both in Ul'dah...their lifestyles are different (don't know much about them...never had to). Au Ra are both from Othard and their lifestyle and faith is mostly all that is different. Miqo'te and Roe may be the only two that had super varying environments. I don't think that the science really applies here... As for infertility...that's a good question. We may never know haha. In a world where there is more than one basic appearance for intelligent beings (The PC races and beastmen...DRAGONS...even clones because there are intelligent NPCs who WERE clones)...Darwin Evolution is a really difficult comparison because there are a large number of "species" per say that would have "human intelligence" and don't look humanoid. You are not thinking back far enough. A people doesn't evolve in a couple hundred years. Elezen may have begun as a singular species in the Wildwood, but eventually a group broke off and delved underground. That group changed over generations upon generations and developed the skin, the hearing and the (vision?) that it has now are due to differences in environment. There are different environments within an ecosystem.

This isn't the same. This is more like a black man trying to pass for an Asian man and vice versa. I wouldn't say that... The real physical difference for them is their eye shape and Duskwight faces are slightly thinner. The skin tones for both races are varied but Duskwight tend to be darker and Wildwood tend to be lighter BUT we've seen Wildwood who are as dark as Duskwight. It wouldn't be impossible for it to be the other way around. For that comparison to be true, they'd have to have evolved in completely different environments but both clans grew up in what is relatively the same environment in the Shroud. Eye shape. Skin tone. Duskwight evolved traits having to do with their environment. So far, it seems like the difference between two IRL human races. Actually, if you look at it more closely, the difference between Seeker/Keeper, Wildwood/Duskwight, Midlander/Highlander, Lohengarde/Sea Wolf, Raen/Xaela, and Plainsfolk/Dunesfolk is species. Lalafell are all the same up to or Genus. So Plainsfolk and Dunesfolk separate at Species of Lalafell. If you consider Dunesfolk, the defining characteristic of their species is the presence of a layer over the eyes that protects their ocular organs from intense light and gives them that large, glassy look. Plainsfolk cannot simply decide to become Dunesfolk, and there will be dominant and recessive genes in interspecies Lalafell. Step back, and Lalafell and Miqote branch away from one another at Family. Yes and no. I don't think Darwin evolution really applies to this game...at all. If you look at the species of animals, monsters, and insects around... If it did, the bees in Ul'dah would look different than the ones in Limsa...and they don't. My understanding was that they were the same race but their traits were reflected differently due to the environment they grew up in. Like how all dogs have the same general genome but the their genes are reflected differently. By your theory, if a wildwood and duskwight had a child, the recessive lighter skin trait from the duskwight could be present in a wildwood... Or a mutation could have occurred. IRL human races are starting to become more blurred as well as time goes by and people stop being stupid about interracial relationships and just accept everyone as humans. Some children don't look like their parents. My mom is southern italian and has medium beige skin tone while mine is super fair. My little sister has gold-brown hair while mine is black. I have my dad's curly jewish hair while my little sister has my mom's wavy, straight hair. When you have a more varied gene pool, these sorts of things occur. Then again, I am willing to suspend disbelief for one short scenario involving one other person (and I guess every other Duskwight on the server who has lighter skin?) and not apply Earth science to a game where we're not even sure where half the races came from. Ah, we do know that that the Elezen were there first. And that they all started in the Shroud TOGETHER as nomads. Regardless of Duskwight and Wildwood, they were all once the same. Ah...and by your explanation...Someone from say...South Africa and another from South Korea are different species. P.S. I work in publishing...I'm not a science person but I did pay attention once in awhile >> Actually, if a Wildwood and Duskwight had a child, it could very well have mixed traits from both. Interestingly though, all of the people of Hydaelyn are technically able to reproduce together. They just don't, because mutual attraction isn't universal in the way that human races tend to be physically attracted to those within their race. That doesn't mean it is impossible- after all, Eorzean races are said to be descended from a single entity. As far as humans IRL, we are not classified as separate species for mostly ethical reasons BUT technically if an alien race came here, they would likely be able to divide all of us into thousands of different species of modern human. FUN FACT: There are currently two living species of Human today. The vast expanse of humankind is called Homo Sapiens Sapiens. This species is the product of reproduction between the Neanderthals and the early Homo Sapiens. However, in Africa there exist small tribes of humans that do not have Neanderthal DNA, which means they are Homo Sapiens and NOT Homo Sapiens Sapiens. What's even more interesting is that these tribes do not seem to have evolved culturally or technologically for hundreds of years. This is theorized to be due to the fact that they did not ever come in contact with the Neanderthals who were known for invention and complex social organization.

Updated to accurately represent my characters. Note: Due to my own irl shifts of mood, I have TWO mains that I swing back and forth between. Their personalities and values are night and day. The alts are generally used only for plot motion. I like to put on a show and be involved in my idea in as many ways as possible.

The real tragedy of 2015 was Persona 5 being pushed back 6 months.

The only Double Fine game I've played was Broken Age, and I'd actually very much like a sequel.

Oh good I can add this to my list of games I wish were happening. Like this one: xrnuV-9FKLk
