I certainly would not say I was popular or in a clique on the forums until a few days ago. Apparently when you agree with Warren Castille on a heated discussion on the forums, you get thrown into the "popular crowd" by all the people you disagree with. So thanks for elevating me to stardom, oh Warren buddy!

It's just a small monthly sub we pay to help keep the RPC going. It just means you are one of those people who donated.

Don't intentionally misconstrue me. A lot of people here outright ignore anything that someone posts who joined recently, posts little, or lacks high value-rep. This is not at all about new people being swayed to anything. This isn't about stopping popular people from being liked, it's about hiding post-counts/join dates get typically ignored. A lot of us have been around a lot of forums for a long time, and we all know it happens. Why not just remove many of the common tools that people use to easily discriminate? More importantly, if we're actually being honest, most 'popular' people here sequester themselves away into google hangouts and skype group chats and ignore almost everyone here not in those groups, that are invite only. In part, this is excatly what I mean about people being fragile. I replied to no one in particular but the overall topic in general, and you took it as "intentionally misconstrue me" simply because I disagreed. Now you may have not meant anything by this, I'm just using it as an example.

If you are easily swayed to act or respond a certain way according to another users post count, rep points, or colored name, you're gonna have a bad time in life. My advice is stop trying to copy ssomeone else, and be yourself. Taking away a number baserd rep/post count will solve nothing. The newbie forum poster who is swayed one way to another by post/rep count will still be swayed by just figuring out that another poster is popular. You may as well all limit us to a 5 post per day limit so nobody becomes popular, we wouldn't want them to be able to sway peoples opinions.....

Housing market is high right now due to demand and the mist is a high demand area. You will need probably at least 20 mill to get someone to give up the plot. That pest include the 5 mill to buy the ploy once released. I've actually have yet to see anything drop below 30 mill on this server. Got me and Matthrian's house in the goblet for 18mill. Also..curse you for quoting before I could fix my phone auto correct. It really pest matter, does it?

I received 4 tells for RMT in just under 2hrs this morning. Funny thing for me is, the later in the day it gets, the less I receive them.

I find the term asshole to be very subjective. There seem to be a lot of thin-skinned people on this forum who view everything as a personal attack. Someone says they do not think their character is lore breaking, I reply I think it is. They counter, I counter, they counter, I counter, but yet somehow, I have now become an inconsiderate asshole who is not open to others opinions, when in fact that same attitude is implied towards me. So question: Was I really an asshole, or was that person just overly sensitive and needs to thicken up a bit? If everyone would stop being so sensitive over EVER. LITTLE. THING. We wouldn't even have this problem. So I don't agree with someone, so they don't agree with me, I certainly do not care. I recognize that people are different from me, hence different opinions, thoughts etc, but last I checked, I'm permitted to announce my displeasure over a certain topic, the same as someone is allowed to announce their acceptance of it. And I have a feeling this is what is considered an asshole post, because unlike a lot of people, I say what needs to be said, and people hate the truth. But I should not be considered an asshole over it. (Also nothing in this post was not aimed at the person it was replied to, just following along within their point. Also note, this posting is not aimed at anyone in particular)

I agree, once you relinquish control of said character and name, it is fair game to anyone else. I can't tell you how many combinations of seen of Nebula or some form of Stardancer / Starfire in mmo type games. The name isn't anything that rare. But, I'm happy you got it back regardless of reasons or circumstances.

Bullet vs Cannonball. You get shot with a bullet, you may yet live. You take a 6" cannonball and you might live, but your chances are not near as great. And as far as what Warren asked, it's rather simple. Neither. But if it was a have to choose kind of thing, I'd take the small pointy end. It would puncture straight thru you hand in a small centralized area. The flat brunt end would shatter every bone in your hand. I don't have much experience in construction much beyond framing pool decks and pouring concrete, but I do know that I'd much rather put a nail thru my palm than to smash it with a sledgehammer. I put a nail thru my hand once, and my brother who works full time in construction has done it twice. You just pull the nail out, wrap it up and keep going. Meanwhile, who's buddy was holding a stake while it was being pounded into the gravel while framing a pool had his hand smashed with said sledgehammer, to this day he still can't use his hand much.

Assuming a lalafell fist and a highlander first both come at my face, I think I'd take the highlander one though. Pressure = Force / Area. That lala fist is gonna hurt way more. I'm not really sure how to argue that a broken nose is worse then a broken nose, a shattered jaw and 2 black eyes lol

Hold up your fist. Hold up a 2yr olds fist. Even if the 2yr old can punch with the same force and velocity that you can, it can only hit a relatively small portion of your face. Hit the baby in the face and you hit their skull, nose, eyes, chin, not to mention crush their forehead. So even pound for pound, force for force, velocity for velocity, on equal terms, with equal power, the larger will win. Another example if you will. Pretend there is a paper wall in front of you. Pick up a small mortar brick and throw it through the paper wall. Now do the same with a standard cement block. Which did the most damage? And again, I understand that this is all based on a real life system, and FFXIV is a fantasy game, I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that realistically, it's impossible if everything is even-stevens.

The way I see it is like this. A Lalafell punches a Roe in the face, he may break a jaw. A Roe punches a lalafell in the face, and he would completely cave their face in....instant death.

There needs to be another option between 4/5 as far as description goes. You have 4 who is an elit badass as good as 10 npcs, then you have 5 which can't hardely handle marmots. So between 4/5.

Really, the only problem I have with people playing cross-breed characters, is to me, it'd be hard to pull off from an RP perspective. If asked for my opinion, I would say that even the NPC's get it wrong in the fact that there is no shared traits. For instance, A miqote/elezen character either looks like a miqote, or an elezen. The gene pool did not mix at all. Same for any over mixed racial characters.
