I fantasia way too much, leaving all of my past characters stuck in a perpetual limbo until they fade away into obscurity and wither away into nothingness.

I do not push the button. I hear the songs of the roleplayers, and the music is cacophonous. It is strange but, I find comfort in it's dissonance. For myself, I have purpose if only to guide an artist to correct one particular stray note in a symphony run amok. Win or lose, the ballads we create are already our victory, our triumph. It is now fate that decides whether we are there to celebrate that fact, or not.

Sounds like what you're looking for is a good ol' band of adventurers. Though, linkshells are most likely better for those sorts of groups.

So much this. I loved the old PSO, and no NA release really had me going. . It's bad enough we don't get all the Monster Hunters, and then PSO as well. Bleh. So yeah, it does kind of seem a dick move. Maybe Yoshi will whisper in their ears like 'Psst. Hey guys. NA players like your shit. That means more money. You like them yens, right?' The only problem with trying to get a NA release is because the copyright laws here are obnoxious. They'd have to cut out a lot of the crossover content that's been piling in PSO2.

My character is Caeritar Skoenbyrgwyn, a Sea Wolf roegadyn whose past consisted of serving under her husband (currently deceased) who was the captain of a pirate ship that initially refused to comply with the Admiral's command. She has a career history involving piracy, smithing, and most recently returning from her journey to Ishgard and dealing with the poor in the Brume and dispensing indiscriminate justice alongside her Dark Knight mentor. Looking at your list, it seems like my character is awfully close to matching a lot of your points, save for being in poverty and the romantic interest since she's a roegadyn and isn't interested in that herself (at least not anymore). I'm Crestfallen Knight in-game if you want to discuss it further.

Biggest gripe is the fact that the game closes out whenever you get the lobby server error. Makes me want to try to figure out a way to skip the intro logos so I can get the the main menu faster.
