Welcome fellow EU person! I am always up for meeting new people close to my timezone to play with! As Oyuu mentioned above, it's worth taking a peek at the FC/Linkshell Hall since most EU options are in that list. To drop a little shameless promotion since the FC I am currently in is not listed there, I shall instead drop a link to the website in case you're interested in taking the FC into consideration. http://wwrp.enjin.com/ Feel free to contact me any time if you need help with anything!

balmung Looking for a Knightly Themed FC!
As'elena replied to Luxanna's topic in Chronicled Connections
From my experience (And I searched for the same theme a few months ago) no.. No such thing as a knightly FC or anything remotely like it. I hardly know every FC out there but the only dominating concepts I see is: Mercenaries/adventurers, Trading Companies, Criminals and School/Magic societies. If there is one I have not heard of it in the almost full year I've been here on Balmung. That being said, I am EU so my searching criteria is even worse than yours, I reckon! I hope you find something soon, and if I somehow do, I'll let you know! -
Neverfar's Tavern - Now serving EU and NA shifts!
As'elena replied to Eddard's topic in Chronicled Events
Been a good while since I last had some RP with d20! It was a great event and worth staying up for! -
I'm an EU player and I play on Balmung as well! It's a bit of an expense to make, but you can transfer multiple characters with one payment and it is certainly worth it if you intent to RP a lot.

Looking for fellow Dragoons and Ishgard RP
As'elena replied to Eren's topic in Chronicled Connections
My FC is currently in Ishgard! While we are centered around EU primarily with the few NA and other folks in the company, we might not be able to provide an aweful lot of RP during your hours. However, one of our Australian members is looking to make some new contacts, so give this thread a read! http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=15891 -
I filled in the survey as closely as I could for As'elena!

Welcome! Hope you'll enjoy Balmung!

UK player here, will I be able to play decently on Balmung?
As'elena replied to sarpynom's topic in Welcome Desk
Another EU roleplayer here! My internet is generally not that great but I've not noticed any of the issues I used to have a few months ago when I first came to Balmung. During RP at best what you'll sometimes notice is the ''Hey, you're walking so far behind me'' ''Uhh, I'm right next to you on my screen?''.. At least that's what I sometimes deal with, but other than that it's fine. Finding RP for EU is generally better than a few months ago as well, as there are several EU events and some NA events that simple start very early which still make it do-able for EU. Finding a EU FC might prove difficult simply because there aren't many. My problem with my former character was that the concept did not really fit with any company. Butyea! You should totes come to Balmung! -
While my original character was just a Paladin, I went with ''other'' for As'elena because she's a bit of a jack of all trades. She is heavily influenced by Lominsian life and work and is mostly seen using a sword and a pistol. She is neither a Gladiator or a Machinist however. Due to how she was raised she has a certain knowledge of magic as well and while she makes no habit to use it, she does have the ability to. Because of what my glamour and general RP outfit looks like (This being a Lominsian NPC uniform) people call me ''Red Mage'' a lot, and after reading up on what a red mage is, it does sound a lot like what As'elena is. She doesn't strictly use black or white magic at all, but she comes awfully close to the concept of a Red Mage apparently.

Yes, yes, YES! As'elena meets some of the criteria. We should definitely meet up sometime!

balmung Seeking EU-time zone heavy rpers to play with!
As'elena replied to Ekidna's topic in Chronicled Connections
I'm EU as well! My character currently travels around a lot and she is mostly either on La Noscea or in Ishgard. At the moment things are a little quiet for As'elena and it's difficult to involve someone she's not going to get along with into any RP, but if you run into her there's always room to see where things will go. -
balmung Noah Tilraun - Miqo'te Keeper seeking connections
As'elena replied to Noah's topic in Chronicled Connections
Elena here is currently switching between Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah a lot due to the current situation she is in. She is certainly not much of a stoic type and on first glance she's a bit of a wild carefree 'have fun' kind of person. She does however have a dutiful side and separates work from pleasure. -
balmung Lovable(?) lizard looking for connections
As'elena replied to DyMare's topic in Chronicled Connections
My character is not from Othard, but pretty much meets the other criteria in some way. I also live in the GMT+1 timezone (+2 atm, due to stupid Daylight Savings time) so being online at similar hours shouldn't be too difficult. -
Orchestrion Canonocity: The New Argument
As'elena replied to Warren Castille's topic in RP Discussion
I'd like to say it is IC. I see no reason why the item and the music couldn't be. Sure some of the metal tracks might be a bit harder to justify because of the music genre and the lyrics that refer to the primals. It might not count for much of an argument, but just because they are primal related is not necessarily wrong if we take a look at real life music. We have real metal about religions, the devil, disease, wars and other things (such as glorious Paladins). If you look at it a certain way it doesn't seem all that different from writing a song about a primal or otherwise a dangerous and unpleasant place. That all being said, I would probably not so easily say the music is related to primals, despite acknowledging the Orchestrion itself as a real thing. -
LF Raen to play Othard sellswords after my Au Ra!

I can't promise you a Xaela bodyguard, but I'm sure Maariya would get along well with a person of nobility! -
New Ul'dah guard jobber in need of partner
As'elena replied to Syzrael's topic in Chronicled Connections
I roleplay a Paladin in service of the Sultansworn. She frequently strolls through the ''lower parts'' of Ul'dah and certainly makes her presence known if something is amiss. She doesn't directly involve herself in hunting criminals or keeping the peace outside of Sultansworn controlled areas, but she's still a Paladin, so she won't stand for injustice or lets a nasty situation get out of hand simply because the authority first falls to the Brass Blades. There is a severe lack of guard-like roleplay so this is a very welcoming change! -
Sounds like someone Maariya could get along with perhaps!

Welcome and hello! We seem to have similar interests regarding writing and fantasy novels.

Snarky elezen looking for Ishgardian contacts.
As'elena replied to aure's topic in Chronicled Connections
I do not have a character affiliated with Ishgard, but Maariya here is a Knight and Paladin of Ul'dah, and quite a religious one at that. -
My timezone is GMT+1 and my character is both Miqo'te and religious!
-
Hello friend of a friend! Welcome to Balmung! I wouldn't mind meeting some more Miqo'te! But no, I am not becoming As'maariya!
-
Welcome fellow EU person! o/

If you want to meet another Paladin, Maariya here is one! She's mostly in Ul'dah or around Thanalan however.
