  1. Bea, I think that it was somewhere in lore that Roegadyn Sea Wolf women names always end in -wyn. Well, if you are are using the traditional naming methods. Or at least I think I read that somewhere >.>. I know that we are suppose to speak about the person above us, but I have always really liked Bea's name. It reminds me of that Lil John song! Well if I am pronouncing it right . Don't really care nor want my name rated though. Just wanted to talk about Lil John :cactuar:
  2. Woo! Need more adorable Lallafellness. I was playing around in the creator and the "bust size" option is hilarious .
  3. This is one of the sexiest group of RPers I have ever seen. I think we should just all start procreating. Create a new master race of beautiful RPers.
  4. I am not currently playing any other MMO right now because I am burnt out on GW2. I have like 15 single player games I need to complete so I have just been working on those and the steam sale just further set me behind >.>!!! I am definitely looking forward to The Repopulation and Archeage. Really hoping that the sandbox genre revives my passion for MMO's again. And Artorias if you ever want to play some Dissidia multiplayer send me a message . I just completed that game a few weeks ago (it is pretty long, but very enjoyable) and I have been kind of messing around with the side quest or I guess it would be kind of like a new game plus. I just wanted to whack things with Shantotto :moogle: oh ho ho hoho
  5. In WoW, your character will use the "talk" animation whenever you speak in /say. They even have different animations depending on if you end your sentence with a question mark or a bang. I wonder if ARR will have different animations for ending your sentence in か or よ? While this does sound easier, I remember reading that they said that you can use their facial expression emotes when you use /say to actually get them to look angry, worried, etc., while speaking.
  6. Yes! I have usually been more comfortable playing a criminal, but have steered away from it because I felt like there would not be enough connections in a Final Fantasy game; see as it doesn't really have a strong criminal theme to it. I am definitely interested in this and since I am already planning on altering my character a bit I will definitely get in contact with some of you so I can have some connections
  7. Welcome! There is a decent amount of lore floating around on the wiki to help you get started until you can find someone to show you the ropes! I know a lot of vets here will definitely be excited to help you out. I personally didn't get into the lore in 1.0 because I suck, but I am definitely going to change that this time around.
  8. It looks really really good. Someone bake this man a cake!
  9. I filled out something on t he beta forums requesting chat bubbles a few times now. I hope they add them. I feel like it makes things more simple. I don't normally look at my log that often and so I don't really know when someone is saying something. An option to turn them off and on would be great just to make sure that they cater to both crowds. Flood the beta forum with chat bubble request! That is what we had to do in GW2 to get them to add it.
  10. Chocobo outfit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :chocobo: Isn't that the same boss music from FFIII? Cloud of Darkness will make an appearance :surprise:?!?!?!?!?! I was a bit worried about the whole Lightning thing, but I really hope that some kind of dimensional portal thing opens up and we get to see tons of FF cameos from characters of other worlds.
  11. Uh oh. I hope not. I really enjoyed Ballista in XI and would like to see how they dealt with PvP this time around. But I suppose I won't really be trying to PvP at launch anyway so if it is held back till the first major patch, I wouldn't hold it against them.
  12. I think they should give us one more testing opportunity for PvP next week since they will basically have an entire month to polish and fix things. They might as well let us test that out instead of throwing it in at launch and just seeing how it works out.
  13. He did say something about working with all the Final Fantasy developers to try to help them all out so I think we may see quite a few more cameos, possibly from XV as well. Maybe Bahamut has ripped some kind of dimensional portal? Or maybe it has something to do with The Void. Cosmos and Chaos from Dissidia brought them here! I don't know haha. This is probably exactly what they are talking about in the developer room as we speak.
  14. I just learned what chiptune music was thanks to your post and have been listening to it for like an hour now. I have this strange urge to bust out my SNES emulator now. Welcome to the community!
  15. Time to find Yoshi P and punch him in the face in PvP for not taking any of my feedback into consideration.

    Hello!

I don't think I will ever find a game as fun or engaging as FFXI was. At least nothing that comes from one of the big fancy studios. I still have hopes that somewhere out there a nice indie studio will put out an MMORPG that will be fun, challenging, and harbors a great community *crosses fingers for The Repopulation*.
  17. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/32685-Questions-related-to-Lore?p=490835&viewfull=1#post490835 Ooooh, I didn't know races could crossbreed. That is really interesting. I didn't realize so many would be going the same route I was with having parents from different clans. But yeah, I don't think there is any reason that clans cannot mix. Think of the clans like the different human races. We are all the same, just have different physical traits because of where our ancestors decided to stay on their migratory path around the world.
  18. Welcome back! As far as your questions go: 1. While I think most people are keeping their 1.0 characters; there are a decent amount of us who are scrapping them for new characters. Myself being one of them. 2. It's not weird at all. I have seen a good amount of people play opposite gender characters. I play both genders, and do so pretty well, or at least I think I so . There is a nice linkshell page on the forums to get you started off. It kind of depends on what kind of shell you want to be a part of ^^. Good luck in your endeavors!
  19. This is just an excuse to continue to make more cat people! They are finally making their move towards world domination! Hide your kids, hide your keyboards! ....This is actually a really cool idea.
  20. Hello, and welcome, cat man! Now come over here and lay on my keyboard so I can take pictures of you!
  21. This! (No disrespect to those going to Gilgamesh as I hope things work out for you. I am just bitter that I won't get a chance to continue to RP with some of you who I have met before and those who I have not RPed with yet.) Of course Balmung is the most logical choice as most of the RPC will be there, including a bunch of new people and not just Legacy members. Not to mention the coolest person from GW2.... <----------------- HIIIINNNNTTTT!! I am actually glad a decent amount of people from GW2 are coming over because that was actually such a lovely community, but there was just nothing in the game to actually do outside of RP (unless you wanted to PvP endlessly).
