makes a low whistle Damn, you weren't kidding about hooks, that's for sure. This is an absolutely fantastic write-up- I love the attention to detail. So, I can most likely throw Kasi at you for starters. Kasi is in a similar boat in that she left her tribe to follow her wanderlust when she came of age, but she's shaken off the tribal life completely and has no intent to return. She earns her keep now as a wandering mercenary, trader, and cook, though she's primarily motivated by a need to find challenge and explore, rather than the lure of gil. She's been in this life for the last 12 years after serving in the Adders for 5 before that. Her attitude towards strangers is very friendly when they're Miqo'te, as she's something of a racial nationalist. Kasi isn't necessarily a good person, though! So, all that being said? If S'rheinah is looking for someone who knows the lay of the land, an escort, someone who can supply her with trade goods, or even someone to mentor her further (in terms of combat training or otherwise- particularly in the subject of the use of or defending against a greatsword or lance), Kasi can fill any of those roles fairly easily. She could probably fill a few other roles besides- it's really up to you. Beyond Kasi... There's also ShroudLife, which is a linkshell for people looking to do wilderness encounters and RP traveling around outside the cities. You can view the main thread for it in my signature, though the disclaimer is that Gehr'ir is no longer managing it- they ended up tossing it over to me for the time being. Delivering them alive just makes it that much more challenging, which Kasi would be even more interested in. Considering she has 17 years of combined combat experience (5 in the Gridanian military, 12 as a mercenary doing all kinds of odd jobs), she could probably tackle obtaining more difficult bounties too- and her price is going be somewhat lower than the average mercenary, since she's not motivated primarily by gil. Win-win!

Yeah, GW2 RP was very hit-and-miss in my experience too... never did quite manage to break out there. For FFXIV at least? You should be able to find a TON of potential connections for a Miqo'te. There are at least 2 Miqo'te FC Clans out there (Morbolvine and Shroudwolf) and then there's the ShroudLife linkshell, which caters somewhat strongly toward Miqo'te (who generally are wanderers and wilderness people). I may be somewhat biased here, granted. Ahem.

Kasi is a for-hire mercenary that does bounty hunting and contracts of all kinds- and the more dangerous, the better! She'd be more than happy to take some jobs.

Huh. Surprised you weren't able to find Aurin RP- I actually operated heavily within the Aurin community for the 3 months I was there before the bleedout happened. It was arguably one of the strongest parts of the entire landscape, but then again, I was trafficking in evil Aurin eco-terrorism. I passed my days experimenting on Dominion players trying to turn them into trees. *insane laughter*

WildStar came pretty close on launch- especially with the RP- but it's a right shame things fell apart within a few months after with the population bleedout and lack of content. 3.5 master race. grunt

Hey there, and welcome aboard to Balmung! :thumbsup: There is no counterpart to XRP or MRP or any of those addons, but with that said, the game does natively support an RP tag that is visible to everyone nearby on the nameplate. This works similarly to "flagging up" for PvP in WoW, only it's for RP. In the same place you can turn this feature on and off, you can also edit a 160-character "bio" that anyone can view when examining your character. It's nowhere near as in-depth as MRP or XRP, but 160-characters is enough for a quick description, and a tinyurl link to a Wiki page. So, no addons... but we do get native RP support!

Actually, she spars with Deahfel and a few other people too, so I imagine if you meet either of us, you'll probably end up running into the other. For Mischief's Coven, you'll want to get in touch with Liliro Liro (you don't need to join the FC to get jobs either- should have mentioned), and for ShroudLife, I am actually now the lead contact for that LS (happened after I made this post this morning- ahem). To join ShroudLife, there's a Discord join link which will get you into the Discord (after which we'll get you tagged and named proper like), and you can just tap me in-game to get you added to the LS there.

Hey there! Kei seems very similar to Kasi in a whole lot of ways, as Kasi is also a traveling mercenary who goes around trying to find the next-big-challenge to overcome so she can continue gaining experience and grow her skills further. So, in that regard, Kasi could easily be a recurring sparring partner and comrade, a rival, or even an enemy if they end up chasing the same target. It really depends on what you're most interested in! Either way, Kasi's profile linked below can tell you a whole lot more. As far as employment goes, I'll point you towards the Mischief's Coven, which is essentially a Thieves Guild FC. I am aware they are looking for hired muscle as much as thieves, though- which is why Kasi has ended up running some jobs for them in the past. Finally, there's also ShroudLife, which is a LS for roaming world RP, so if Kei is doing a lot of traveling along the road, this might be a good idea to shoot for as well. There is both a Discord presence and an in-game presence with this one, so you can arrange for meet ups with other travelers anytime you'd like! Hope this helps! Let me know whatcha think!

It really depends on what you have in mind for the character. If nothing else, the FC, LS and Making Connections forums are a good place to start!
