I could somehow see Kasi as someone who would run afoul of this group of knights for the things she does occasionally. It'd be interesting to see her try to talk her way out of it too- not to mention she has her own code of honor as well!

I don't use the Discord application itself, though- I use the web GUI instead (bit lighter on the usage, I think).

Well then! This I can probably help with a bit more! :lol: Right out, I can easily throw Kasi at you here, considering that she's a mercenary, trader, bounty hunter and griller. She's also a bit of a Miqo'te supremacist and falls most closely as lawful neutral, with some evil leanings. If Sahja is in that same realm, there might be some other things too. Sahja can run into her out on the road, by camps (for trade or cooking), in taverns (for drinks and checking the job boards), or even in the middle of a job (potentially even as an opposing merc). You can read the full spill on her bio page in my signature! Kasi can also involve Sahja in ongoing events too, as she's always looking for some extra help with jobs or storylines. Admittedly, most of my storylines are currently in the process of wrapping up here in the next week for the holidays, but stuff will kick back up once we're past the holiday activity freeze. Kasi can bring her up to speed on events so far though, if nothing else, to be ready for when things kick back up. Kasi is also certainly willing to toss in for stuff Sahja may be working on too and need help with. If you choose to get involved into the ongoing storylines, and you're interested in getting more interaction with other Miqo'te, I can probably introduce you to the Shroudwolves as an ally too. You don't need to join the FC! If you're looking for wilderness encounters, traders, and general survivalists of all kinds, then I'd also recommend ShroudLife too (linked in my signature). This is a networking linkshell more than anything else, so if you have due cause to interact with these types of characters often, you're more than welcome! I can invite you into both the Discord and the Linkshell in-game if you're interested. Generally I'm available in the evenings from about 5-11 PM CST and all day on the weekends, if that helps. Just lemme know!

There's no getting off this train we're on! Welcome aboard the RPC! :thumbsup: I am one of those folks with the adamant belief that a well-connected community is a strong community. The fewer silos there are, and the more bridges that are built, and the more people collaborate openly and move to include one another in any manner they can, the more the entire community becomes greater than the sum of its parts. There will always, sadly, be cliques and silos though. The trick is only to keep pushing as hard as you can, keep building bridges, and never sit still. Even if the success rate is only 20%, it's still worth it. Now, philosophy aside... What sort of linkshells are you looking for? What would you like to find? Can you tell us anything about your character(s)? You can also toss up a Making Connections post as well and cast your net farther and wider, but either way, toss me a few bones here! If your character is Miqo'te, I got a few places I can point you right out, and even then, some of those work for other characters too. If nothing else, you can always run into Kasi sometime!

Hey there! I'll drop you a poke on Discord- should be pretty obvious from the SN which one is me. I'm pretty much up for RP just about anytime and have no problems throwing Kasi at people. Kasi is a merc, trader, and grilling / meat enthusiast- she's pretty outgoing, friendly, and could probably get along with just about anyone. Her claims to fame would probably be her steaks, her strength, and the fact she always keeps her promises. Kasi tends to hover around Ul'dah and Gridania while she's working. She'd probably be a bit of a foil to Illyriana, I think!

Hey there, and welcome back to Balmung! :thumbsup: Far as some potential leads go... Since you're Miqo'te, I'll suggest having a look at ShroudLife as one option. It's by and large Miqo'te-based, but also heavy on the world RP and more casual encounters. I've found it to be very useful, at least- useful enough to slap into my own signature. There's also Shroudwolf Clan (which I might have a slight bias for) as well as Morbolvine Clan, which are both Miqo'te free companies. If nothing else though, I'm certainly willing to throw Kasi at you!

Yeah, sorry- getting into Balmung is a pain. It takes 72 hours for a character to be old enough to be eligible to transfer servers (age, not played time). Then, you can transfer into Balmung for $18 (along with however many characters you'd also like to move).

Welcome aboard to Balmung and the RPC! :thumbsup: I can echo the sentiment thus far. LGBT support is pretty much implied just about everywhere- I know there are a few in my own FC and it's never been an issue that's needed to be talked about in the first place. People on Balmung are, by and large, pretty tolerant of everything. You probably don't need to find a specific LGBT group, but the disclaimer is, you may still run across a bad apple here and there regardless of the group you end up rolling with. There's always going to be 'that guy.' You'll want to hit 60 eventually to be able to tackle most of the content, but there's no driving rush. There's still plenty of content you can do with other people as you level up (leveling roulette for example). On the other hand, if you're more after general RP and not content, then don't worry about it at all! Level at your own pace, devote your time to RP instead. It'll take a good month of active community interaction and networking before you start to put down roots, but if you're going to be going through the game for the first time as well, you may want to give yourself 2 months instead. In any case, you're welcome to run across Kasi too!

Yeah, sorry man- that's probably about the most disappointing thing you can run into as a new player doing a trial. So, Balmung and Gilgamesh are pretty much the big RP hubs in FFXIV- but since they're so big, they're constantly locked down and it's pretty much impossible to get on either for free (especially Balmung). Your best bet is to pay the $18 transfer fee, which, despite it saying it won't work for locked servers, does actually work. The transfer fee will allow you to move multiple characters at once for the flat cost, at least, but it does represent a pretty high barrier-to-entry when it comes to trying to get into the RP community. I can, at least, say that it is VERY much worth the money spent. In any case though, welcome aboard to the RPC and hopefully to Balmung in the near future!
