I actually see a lot of common ground between Kazukata and Kasi. They're both adventurers/mercenaries, have military backgrounds, and were hunters at one point. If they were to bump into eachother on the road, I think they might be able to connect. Their differences in morals could be an interesting point of contention, as well. You mind if I add you once I get online and we can hash out more details? As for ShroudLife, I noticed it advertised around, but I'm not sure if Kazukata is necessarily what they're looking for. I'm all for rp on the road, but the LS's description was pretty explicit that it's largely for people who live in the wilderness and eschew civilization, while Kazu more just passes from town to town wherever his job takes him. If that's not a problem, though, I'd be happy to give it a shot. Yeah, you're very welcome to add me once we're both online! I'm also on Discord, if that helps at all, too! I'd be happy to stage a run-in or two. I'll add you to my hit-list as well. In ShroudLife's case, it's up to you! At this point, I'm actually the admin for it as well- and well, you know Kasi. My acid test is that it's just a linkshell- not a FC. If you have due cause to interact with people in the wilderness, you have enough justification to join the LS.

Hey there! I can toss Kasi your way- she's also a traveling mercenary, trader, and cook, plus she usually has a few good stories to tell about previous jobs. Granted, she's no bard, anyway. You can read about Kasi (in my signature) and let me know if anything catches your eye. What you'd probably be somewhat more interested in is ShroudLife, however, which is a roaming RP linkshell for getting out of the cities. It's angled more toward wilderness survivalists, traders, and generally people who walk the roads for one reason or another. It's not specific to the Shroud anymore, but there's still a good chunk of RP that happens out that way. The full dissertation on the linkshell is also in my signature!

OP is on Siren server ^^; Redacted. Thanks dude. Too early in the morning for me. Funny, this kind of thing tends to happen to me late in the afternoon. I've been considering making a general LS to help out with the search here. I have yet to receive a response from the one that is listed on the LS Hall. Just a cursory glance at the account that is admin for that linkshell reveals that it hasn't been active since 8-12-2016. The account hasn't even logged into the site since then. Probably a safe bet it's dead, sadly. To be totally and brutally honest, if you're looking for RP as a key facet of your time in FFXIV, then your best bet is Balmung. I know from your welcome post you don't have excess money to toss around, but consider this: the hours of time you will spend trying to find RP on Siren have a monetary cost to you, vs. the $18 transfer fee to get onto Balmung for immediate RP. In my opinion, you save yourself both money and time by just pushing to move to Balmung. It's a pain though, no doubt about that.

Of course, I can toss in here to some degree. It'd be kinda funny to have Kasi and Deahfel on opposite sides, but this'll happen regardless if you take on the Coven, too!

Hey there! I can punt Kasi your way- she's also a traveling freelance mercenary, but also a trader and meat cook. She also possesses criminal connections as well, so there's a fair bit of overlap there. You can browse her RPC biography in my signature if you like- let me know if anything tickles! Apart from that, there's also ShroudLife, which is a wandering wilderness linkshell that mostly aims to get out of the cities to create RP by the roads. This is great for traders, mercenaries, and wilderness survivalists all, so it might be a good place to hit! Details about this one are also in my signature. Finally, there's Mischief's Coven which is essentially your criminal syndicate mafia FC, but you don't need to join the FC to become involved with them. Once again, details of that are in my signature! I don't usually go 3-for-3 here with connections, but hey, I hope this helps!

I agree with ExAtomos. Play what's FUN for you first. This community is large enough you can find a friendly niche for just about anything. Moreover, you don't take such a calculated risk when you do targeted networking such as creating a Making Connections post here on the RPC. Join some Linkshells, or bench more on your Free Company for RP. You should be able to pull plenty of worthwhile, engaging encounters from all of these sources without having to be dependent on walk-ups and worry about being ignored. It's good if you need a quick fix, but diversifying is not a bad plan.

Welcome aboard to the RPC and hopefully to Balmung as well! :thumbsup: There's definitely a strong EU population on Balmung- at the very least, I know the Mischief's Coven has a good number of EU players, though I'm in CST myself.
