I found a few hints at their pronunciation while looking around for names. The best was from a travel guide website: "Knowing how to pronounce the names of Mongolians you meet will help you make friends and get people's attention. When saying any Mongolian word, pronounce the vowels harshly. The vowels sound more like English lower-case than capital letter equivalents. For example, the drink 'cola'is pronounced as 'collar'. Pronounce names any other way and no one will understand." Source

I love Blind Guardian so much. They got me into power metal as an angsty teen. More on topic though, realistically, the imagery of knights and churches and dragons is drawn from biblical imagery (iirc) which was used in fantasy which power metal emulates, so it's all a super cyclical process. After hearing some of Sokken's tunes though, I bet you he's a fan of more than a few power metal bands.

Definitely still picking up DRK and AST. But first comes the name change and the phantasia. Hopefully, having drank one before the servers went down, the big switch to 3.0 doesn't somehow overwrite it being flagged on my account.

Okay! I have been hemming and hawing about names and clans and reading mongolian culture/etymology all god damn day, and I've finally settled on a tribe at least. As tempting as it was to pick Oronir and praise it, I've settled with: Dotharl. (Though Tumet and Dhoro came in very, very close second/third.)

Goodness fucking gracious they dropped a lot of stuff with the tribes. Naming my xaela is going to be a hassle and a half. I skimmed the tribes, and I doubt I'll be going with this one, but it definitely called something to mind when I read it. It's a very pretty effect. I think it's my favorite looking one for tanks. And probably tied with SMN and BRD for favorite over all. I am stupid hype for leveling a DRK. These last two days are going to be so long.

Maybe for PLDs, but it looks like DRK and WAR will have damage attached to theirs. I don't think so. They're not going to attach damage to two tank-role limit breaks and not a third. That's where it's at! I've never gotten super far into muay thai but god damn do I want to. I've seen a bit of okinawan karate, too. That's wicked.

What kind of punching are we talking about? I have a deep, if somewhat recent interest in boxing, personally. I bought a heavy bag about half a year ago and god damn do I love it.

Freelance editor and author first, and foremost. I write when I can (though its fallen off recently.) about what I can, and get paid for these things. I've worked in the past for a fetish webcomic, edited literary magazines, and been published in Bards & Sages, Strange Horizons, Glimmertrain, and a number of other locations. Currently I'm working on my debut novel. During the day I'm a child development specialist working with at-risk teens. Basically one half psychologist, one half baby sitter. It's singlehandedly both the worst, and the best job I've ever had.

Having both feet firmly in the '7 was the best, come at me Kefka nerds' camp, and having wished for a remake since PS2 launched -- I. Am. Hype. As. Hell. Probably going to be peeved at Aerith (I am an Aeris guy. I know it was a mistranslation but idgaf; her name is Aeris.) in voiced dialogue, but it's like I'm a kid again. Last Guardian, Shenmue kickstarter, and FF7 PS4 remake. If I can get some Persona 5 footage before everything ends I will be completely and utterly finished.

Similar story -- Cata, guild was running Firelands, and doing heroic Beth'tilac, and we noticed that while our top dps at the time (a Destro warlock,) was parsing at the top of recount, his dps was considerably lower than normal and we couldn't quite make the phase transition. Turns out he had his fishing pole equipped. God, I hated that raid. EDIT: I will occasionally "accidentally" slip out of the boss barrier in LotA/Syrcus/WoD for bosses I don't like to fight. (Bone Dragon, Glasya, Cereberus respectively.)

I am hype as hell for this game. I went ham on backing it (and was rewarded by the god damn Amano poster) and even though future me may be upset, I am 110% okay with that. SoTN was the first Castlevania I completed on my own without outside help, and I still replay it on the regular. I really hope that the success of this and MN9 push other devs into considering kickstarter. (Shenmue I'm looking at you. And you too, Legacy of Kain.)
