If you vote with no reason, you wont get reasonable results Obviously this is a huge problem at the moment. Let's just wait out the 24hours and see where we are, and where the rest of the major communities are. Maybe we can have a reasonable server alternative, and we can vote either to keep these results or go to that server which less people have already claimed. Also, the general population that will pick up the game on launch with no idea where different groups are going will probably be attracted to our current leader. New general player, new RPers, the current RPC and a few other communities? If we stick with it, we're screwed. I wouldn't expect people to wait an hour after work to get in 30min of playtime.

Yeah but it's also about the neighbors you'll have that color the server attitude toward RP >.> It's not like it doesn't matter who we're sharing with. Let's be real.

I don't find it annoying at all. After I've set a tone for the character and hammered out the finer details, it has a life of it's own. I am merely a facilitator of that character, transmitting in into the game.

No. Retainer = mule, they are a $1 each. Alts (which are $3 each/per month) and retainers are independent of each other.

I don't think people will group if they don't have to. Maybe with friends for fun, but if I'm someone interested in leveling and I can do it alone at the same rate as in a group, who needs a group? I like the way it was in XI. You have to group most of the time for most jobs or else you die. Oh and the K.O. penalty was pretty brutal The spirit of coming together to accomplish anything gave XI a certain feel that other MMOs didn't have. The time I played around with a couple, they felt like single player games with chat boxes. I feel that solo play should basically be the worst option. I wouldn't have met a lot of cool people if I hadn't been partying all the time on some other jobs.

Had the same thought. First I said to myself the 3 of us from the RPCV should meet up somehow. Wait no, all of A.E.T.H.E.R. should... wait... RPC meet up! I'll go anywhere. Love to travel around. It'd be better to plan ahead, next august? My brain already hurts from the possibility of ways to organize this.

I don't think we should go on the defensive, but just saying the same thing we are here such as "good read" etc. will give the comments section in general a more positive vibe. The comments so far just confirm what we all knew, people are ignorant of what RP is. It's painful to see it every time we are publicly mentioned, but there it is. Btw, Castiel hopefully traffic from Eorzeapedia will pick up once our podcast there gets going.

Yeah I still do. Let me know when you are heading this way and I'll let you know where to go for the wings. Heck maybe we can make a night of it! The wings are right and righteous! They have flavored wings such as BBQ, Teryaki, Buffalo, etc. but then they also have just straight up hot wings going from mild to the aforementioned ass-burner. Those are not sweet in the slightest, just pure wings and BURRRRNNNNN.

Yeah, hopefully not! Otherwise I don't see myself making it, sadly. Unless it's possible to get into the car and drive away from New York, which I don't think it would be.

Living in a large metropolitan area I realize that I will most likely fail regardless but my plans are the following: (This is based on what is realistically available) -Pack everything essential, from food to phone charger to clothes to can opener. -Grab my katana, it'll have to do for now. -Candles, flashlight, matches, rope, batteries if I see any. -Paper, journal, pens/pencils, chalk -Send text to friends, tell them the intersection near a manhole. -Try to make it to the manhole. I live around a number of buildings so making it through the hallway and out through the front door would be suicide. I plan to go down the fire escape and then just jumping off at the side of the building where it's less likely I'd be immediately spotted. The plan is to basically make it to the nearest manhole, attempt to open it, get to the sewer and try to navigate to a central area where my friends and I can meet up. If no one is there a day after I'll assume they are zombies and move on. The plan is to keep moving, popping up for food/water when needed, until I reach a community or other survivors who though of the same plan. I highly doubt there will be zombies down there since it's pretty hard to get those manholes open. It'd also be easy to slash and run from them down there I'd imagine, especially once I map it out with my handy chalk. It'd be pretty much impossible for me to make it out of the city into a forest (I agree that making a small burrow would be ideal, surviving on the wood critters), or a mountain region.

It's at a bar that in my opinion serves the best wings in the city. The 'hotness' scale is: Mild-->Medium--->Hot---------->Nuclear------------------------------>Assburner The bartender asked my friend if he is sure he wants to order that, cause many people return them and say they are too hot. Friend says sure, he usually tries spicy food. I eat one of his wings and I am coughing, crying, and my nose is running. It's a sports bar and I am acting like I'm watching a novella. He ordered 20 but needless to say he took most of those home cause we couldn't kill that at the bar.

Yeah I have a similar obsession with hot sauce, Crystal. Link: Hottest hot sauce ever, comes with a warning label. I've yet to try that, says a couple of drops will put you out. I'm the type of guy who liked to put hot sauce on everything, although not the 'super' hot kind. Hottest thing I ever ate was "Ass-burner" wings. 'Nuff said.
