Jana is much more low-key with her racism nowadays, but she still casually tosses around "popoto" or "knife-ears" for Lalafell and Elezen, respectively. She also has some lewd ones specifically for Seeker women that I shouldn't repeat in polite company.

That's assuming your character is already in Immortal Flames, of course. I've been saving up since 3.0 came out for the Flames Elite gun. Also, keep in mind that the Soldiery weapon will look a little different in the colors of the little details, as well as the upgraded soldiery-weapons having a glow that the craftables lack. You can preview them all at Mor Dhona, and the tokens can be bought for 65 Poetics.

Hello! Jana is a Summoner ICly as well, but there are a few obstacles. For one, she tends to try and keep her habit of wrenching Primals out of thin air a secret, so she won't show any Egis if she's not in combat. Secondly, the other way for her to take enough interest in someone to show an Egi is to sense a Soul Stone (via her own unique Echo ability), so she wouldn't be able to find your character purposefully. And third... She loathes Gridania and avoids the Shroud. It's not impossible that they could run into each other but it'd take a quirk of fate!

I actually usually go human with my mains too; I did in GW2 and countless single-player RPGs. Tera is the first time I picked something other than human, because tiny kitty girl swinging a giant sword around was just cute and funny in my head. I considered Midlander for FFXIV, but the combination of their awkward animations and the cute kitty girls being freely available made me settle on Miqo'te pretty quickly. I still like playing small characters though. I have an alt for that.

My character is a Summoner who got her start studying in the Arcanists' Guild, and put in time working for Mealvaan's Gate (as well as going back to work there to track shipments for outside interests), but our timeframes also don't match at all! I will try to keep an eye open.

The slavery being mentioned in relation to Gladiators is a sort of voluntary enslavement given as an option to criminals in prison; I believe the term for such a fighter was a Noxious. There are plenty of voluntary Gladiators who fight for coin and prestige, Raubahn having been one.

The quest chain he appears in is only accessible by completing all of the beast tribes' reputation quests, so it can take a really long time to unlock yourself. I found the cutscenes on YouTube, and Nhaza'a Jaab's only referred to by name once... But it is is full name. Unfortunately, xivdb doesn't seem to have the full text of the quest, so I can't check that. (Spoilers for Beast Tribe stuff, and also kinda NSFW?)

If Jana had a son, the unfortunate boy's name would be Jana'a Ridah. good thing she's gay It does make sense, in the same way that one of the Lalafel clans has their full name used to address their males. I don't actually remember any other times in the game that a Keeper male NPC is called by name though; only other Keeper males that come to mind are the Coeurlclaw King, whom I don't think goes by a given name in the Postmoogle quest he shows up in, and the Keeper from the Allied Beast Tribes Ultimate Funtime Quest, Nhaza'a Jaab, who I'm pretty sure does go by his full name... A quick check of the quest log entries seems to confirm it, though it'd be best to watch the cutscenes again to make sure.

That 3.0 example doesn't work either; it's the same situation as Iceheart becoming Shiva. The difference is that these are cases of people taking on personas of past heroes to summon, not they themselves becoming Primals. It's like if Jana got people to pray to her and gathered crystals, she wouldn't become Jana Extreme... At least as far as we know.
