Jana

I do use a soul stone in my RP (specifically, the SMN one) and treat it as a "repository" of the previous holder's memories. Jana uses it in her research to uncover new magic and such, and while she guards it closely, losing it wouldn't leave her powerless.

I have to switch my sign-up from Blood Harvest to Screaming Never stops because my work schedule was the opposite of what I'd planned for. I put my Thursday hours up but I don't think anyone will take my 9 hour hell shift... ;w;

Void ark ilvl req was in the preview page. 175. That seems really low this far into the patch. I hope it's not gonna be a snoozefest two weeks after release.

Signing Jana up for "Blood Harvest" because it'll (probably) work better with my work schedule. I'll check back when I know for sure!

Tentatively signing up with Jana as either MNK or SMN, whichever is needed more. I say "tentatively" because I won't know my scheduled work hours for next Monday until Thursday night, though.

I've read on two players' wikis now that my character has scarred them at times I hadn't really considered it, so I think that'll generally be best left to the players of the characters being healed, rather than the healers!

While Jana's attention is immediately caught by the charges, she grumbles as she reads the "Wanted Alive". Someone else would have to go after this one.

Pretty sure that's Stolas, one of the A-Rank hunt marks in the Dravanian Hinterlands. I recognized the description of the owl; it's almost exactly the same one that the Centurio representative in Idylshire gives you.

The only thing I say when healing at Grindstone IC is that we have an obligation to see the winning fighters move on to their next fights at top strength and the losing fighters return to their own lives in good health. Are we really "obligated"? No, but Jana thinks it makes her seem important. As for RPing the actual healing itself, I treat skills like Physick as a sort of acceleration of the body's own processes and will have people hold their broken limbs in place and such so everything is closed and put together the right way. It's not quite "instant" outside of the Grindstone, but it's also not a bandaid. After any particularly tough combat where Jana is the only healer available, she will still tell people to make sure they see a real healer or chirugeon.

Good news: My gamble paid off and I got a big promotion at work! Bad news: The celebrating is on Saturday. Glad you filled up for this week!

Hinterlands FATEs, just like FATEs anywhere else, will pop more often when people are actually clearing them. Might need to wait for a weekend though, people seem content to grind in Churning Mists until 60 for some reason.

Jana as a male wouldn't have had a very different childhood, still growing up in the Shroud while learning how to hunt, trap, and skin. I imagine adolescence would have been very difficult for... Dina'a with keeper male naming, I guess. Whether he liked men or women, growing up in isolation would lead to him likely having eyes for the first mysterious outsider he sees. As for young adulthood, I think male!Jana would have still made the trip to Ul'dah and begin life as an adventurer (perhaps even more likely since male keepers are supposed to be solitary).

So the yoke is moved from one woman to another. Jana frowns as she puts the paper aside, drinking a mug of way-too-cooled coffee in a candlelit break from her tome work. I'm happy that ser Crofte is freed of that influence, but lady Edda doesn't deserve this either.

I wonder how comparable the East Aldenard Trading Company is to history's East India Company, which essentially ruled Britain's colonies in India. We haven't heard anything about colonies (and we know Othard had its own ruling class before Garlemald conquered it too) but I'm curious all the same.

Posting mostly to show I'm aware, but both ICly and OOCly, I don't have any real preference!

I've been joking about Jana planting her death flags left and right lately, but I don't leave anything set in stone. Nothing's out of the picture either, though.

Tentative sign-up for Player Event 2 as Jana, though I'll withdraw if the Amdapor run materializes with a time that won't let me make that!

I played a 37 year old Elin on Tera, so I decided to play younger characters here. Jana and her sister are 20 and 19 respectively while my undeveloped Au Ra alt is somewhere in her teens.

Neither of my characters fit the current crop of events, but I'll be waiting to see if Orrin will still organize the Amdapor City run for Jana to take part of!

Unfortunately, unless someone literally drags her, this is one Jana is probably going to intentionally avoid. I might come on an alt if I'm not busy though!

The mask is a step in the right direction and I'm glad people dig my use of it, but Jana is actually more confident when she wears it. Problem is, the times she isn't wearing it tend to outnumber when she does, and I worry I'm not putting enough effort into making her look the way she does to me for others to "see" in their memory of her.
