Y'shtola's a Conjurer, actually. Her special magic is Sharlyan in origin and doesn't draw upon Succor as far as we can tell.

Hello! I play a Summoner IC so I thought I should add my thoughts, though most of what I'd say has already been said. My character is an adventurer with the Echo who was actually present and helped slay the Primals she can summon, Titan and Ifrit. (She's also ICly fought Ramuh, thanks to Dogberry's events, but cannot pull an Egi out.) I took the approach that "Primal summoning happens a bit more than we see in the MSQ," which not everyone agrees with, but I feel is acceptable within the game's lore. People can't even seem to agree on just how common the Echo is for adventurers (and laypersons). My character is also very paranoid, and takes her status as a Summoner more seriously than the characters around her often do: She's very hesitant to pull an Egi out with strangers around due to the reaction ordinary people should have to it (adventurers don't seem to care much at all though)! It's not incredibly difficult to make it possible for your character, but you do have to take into account how the game presents magic, Allagan magic in particular, before you go around blasting everything with Evoke!

It's been stated that the crossover events are canon to ARR, as Eorzea and the other worlds are linked across dimensions. That said, a character from FFXI's world coming to FFXIV's world need a way to get there. Shantotto had dimensional magic and Lightning was sent across by... Gods or something from FFXIII, I dunno about that game. But they didn't just "turn up" out of the blue.

The Soul Crystal's tooltips also all say they're "etched with myriad deeds..." but the MCH one makes a point of it being pristine, as if waiting for your deeds to be etched upon it.

Jana would have grabbed Gaius herself, assuming she ever made it that far. ICly, I've placed her as having been with the Immortal Flames during Operation Archon, but not with Derplander in the Praetorium.

At the end of 1.0, the old emperor is alive and in control still, and the cutscene of the new emperor standing over the open casket of the former one was from a 2.x story (don't remember which, exactly) means the razing of Doma was a very recent thing, as in most likely within the past year.

Would these rumors be necessarily about your own character(s), sort of as a hook for getting others to seek you out? Or would they be about the results of others' RP to kind of inform others? Or am I overthinking things at 2:30 AM?

No, you only need to go through the story again if you make an entirely new character. Your new class will still start at level 1, and it'll be up to you to level it through FATEs, side quests you didn't do the first time around, and dungeons.

...I'd just be happy if I could put some muscle on my popoto rather than having to imply it all the time. :lol: No race is cuter than Lala, and I say that as a Miqo'te main. To the point where I Fantasia'd OOCly into a Lala for a little while, and liked it so much I made an alt using the same sliders to run around and be cute with. I played an Elin Slayer (hugesword DPS class) on Tera, and eventually all of the big weapon classes, because I also like the size dissonance in that sense. also muscle sliders for everybody when SE?????

I kind of feel this way too. I originally wanted Jana to be part of the parties that would have cleared the Coils IC, but in the end I settled for Jana seeing through their eyes via Echo visions. Being the "one who slew X-Boss" (or even "one of those who did") seemed like it would be a bigger hassle than it would be worth, even with a creepy paranoid character who's fairly guarded about having the Echo. I kind of have the reputation of pushing myself further than I should and falling asleep mid-RP. It's troublesome but my friends are fairly understanding about it (to the point where one of them will leave their character next to mine to provide a lap sometimes).

The console entries inside of the dungeon mention that they are manufactured (weaknesses listed include genetic instability, thus why our Ixal don't have feathers to fly with). I ended up being kind of right in my prediction before Heavensward: Azys La basically is Ayatlan.

The funniest part is how many people are threatening to move to Canada!

That's about it, really. The new MNK moves were made with the complaint of "I drop GLIII and become useless in boss fights with mechanics" in mind.

I was just on the news site a minute ago to confirm the time for my friend and saw nothing about it being pushed back. I'm going to assume it's just time zone confusion and the time hasn't changed from 2 AM PST. Of course, that doesn't mean it won't be pushed back later. These things are pretty common with big maintenances.

Well, like I said, just check my e-mail and there was nothing from the Square store, except that Heavensward being ship out yesterday. I'm going to have to check the store site or wait and see if any e-mail comes in later today with the license code. I didn't get a second email/code after the one initially entered into the Mog site, but just opening the client a second time gave me the option to install the expansion.

Jana keeps worrying about making Klyn freak out in combat. ;w; To be more on topic, I guess I'll second the "trying to get by" posts. Until very recently, Jana was succeeding as an adventurer but getting by on flatbread and water while actually out on the field. Doesn't make sense to spend money on fancy food when an adventurer needs supplies!

I already don't work Fridays, but I've taken too many days off from being sick and Monday is normally my easiest day anyway. If I were to try and take random days off to grind, they'd be Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
