I've had my character captured in battle and made a prisoner before back on TERA, but it was only for a RL-day of RP. I wouldn't be okay with someone taking my character out of the picture for an extended time, unless I knew I wasn't going to be around or able to RP or something.

I don't remember if it was an Elder primal or just "ancient," but Belias is part the SMN questline. There's a lot I don't remember being explained there too, like how the SMN NPC was able to access that primal to make an Egi out of it (probably has more to do with Ascian fuckery than anything else). I'd look it up if I had more time today.

If your Primal character is summoned in Thanalan, then the disruption in the aether will be felt not only by the Scions still stationed there, but likely by the Immortal Flames as well. While we in the RPC do generally say "play what you want," this kind of character is basically being set up to be hunted down by a lot of the active characters playing military in Ul'dah. I'd caution against, unless that's the kind of thing you're going for.

f a l l o u t t a c t i c s I'm replaying 3 and New Vegas both in celebration/anticipation. If you can only do 1, I'd suggest NV as it's a more polished game. Really though: Why not both? Start with 3.

Depending on how Jana's RP goes, she might end up attending just to spectate and soak in knowledge. She won't have the know-how to actually contribute anything for a while though.

I've always RPed Jana as someone with the Echo who had the gall to say "no" to joining the Scions way back in the level 20 MSQ. Obviously, the end of the MSQ would have been very different if she were actually The WoL. That aside, I still follow the events of the MSQ with Jana having some knowledge that the public wouldn't (specifically, relating the the Coil storyline, but not the Ul'dah political landscape which would have been of greater importance to Jana as a Flame) via Echo-visions. I don't think that's a popular position to take, which is probably the only reason I can get away with it: No one else is claiming to have that knowledge.

I just unlocked FCoB on my main so I can hopefully get my classes I actually intend to level up to i130, but I'm going to need a lot more time if I intend to be able to bring my alts into Ishgard (at least one of them, I do).

Most of my FC mates who have crafters geared also have good gathering gear. I probably won't go for gearing but I do still aim to at least level cap some more crafty-classes before 3.0.

Put Jana down for Part Two; she can fill any role at that iLv but to be most in-character, SMN would be preferred. The mysterious Jana's Sister can join for Part One, Toto-Rak, as a Lancer/Dragoon. I don't have much real preference for dates, but if it's going to be on any weeknights, the later the better.

Jana doesn't know about Gogon yet IC, but as I've said before, they actually want the same thing. I'd be happy to get involved, though it may not necessarily be to Chachanji's benefit!

My assumption is that you'll just choose which Primal you want to draw power from; no Fat Cats will be harmed. This does make me wonder if crystal-summoned non-primals like King Mog and Enkidu count (probably not but it's fun to think about)! And Bahamut being the method to suddenly cast Judgement Bolt or whatever makes me wonder how it'll happen story-wise, since I doubt they're going to assume everyone's cleared Final Coil.

I have to work late the rest of the week (AND ON SUNDAY) because of the holiday on Monday, so I don't think I will be able to make it in time.

This is a neat idea but I can't help feeling like something like this already exists? Personally if I wanted help from the GC RPers I'd probably use /shout but then again I'm sure a lot of RPers have /shout disabled. Ul'dah has the Sand Pearl, which is an IC LS open to Flames/Sworn/Blades; Jana's used it more than once ICly to call for help or alert people to things. Dunno if the other cities have something similar.

No Ramuh-Egi, Jana is a sad cat. At least I didn't jump in and say she has it already, but the wait for this Egi-glamour is gonna drive me up the wall. When leveling CNJ/WHM, I was able to DPS stancedance through Haukke Manor, but then had to focus on healing primarily until I completed my sentence Relic. At that point, tanks had gear that didn't match their levels, the dungeons got harder, and my ability to swap stances to DPS and heal wasn't quite fast enough. Anyone who knows anything about me is that I heavily favor DPS in PvE, and I loooovvve when healers can help DPS stuff down, but a healer's primary function is to heal. If there's trouble keeping tanks up for whatever reason, DPS suffering a bit isn't that big of a deal when priorities are kept straight.

If we count the Grindstone and other randomized RP tournaments (Runestone, Otto's old barefist event), Jana's lost a lot more than she's won: She only has two Grindstone wins under her belt, and one of them was from the super-super-old Wednesday "practice" Grindstone that used to exist. Jana's favorite fights will be the ones where she gets to ICly fight a Primal or a big Dragon or something; I like RPing them out too because it's more cooperative with other players than a 1v1 matchup can be. Jana's least favorite fights are any where she loses without having gotten to show off at least once. From my OOC perspective, it often feels like my time to RP is being cut short... It happens often when the dice are mean!

It's a bummer that I wasn't around to help in the end, but I'm glad I was able to help where I was! Hopefully, I'll have the time to put more into the next events. Thanks for running everything so well, Verad!
