I like to put the emotions and thoughts my character is having into my emotes because she's the kind if person who isn't really capable of hiding her true feelings. Something like "Jana shuffles nervously, the look on her face obviously pleading for the situation to end." If your character isn't the same way and isn't meant to be obvious, you can still include their thought and feelings in your emote: "She kept a cool face, lazily gazing over the crowd as she hid her anticipation for what was to come."

That's what the translation says, yeah. The PSO2 anime kinda did the same thing. (That show was a trainwreck ad/intro for the current trainwreck plot though.)

I thought this was a thread that had escaped the Void for a moment. I don't have much to say about this kind of show except that I hope it doesn't spend too much time going into the in-game systems ("son teaches his dad how to use the duty finder" is probably not the best half hour of TV) or it really will just turn into a long commercial.

Elementals exist all over, the Black Shroud is just the only place they are powerful enough to make their will known (until the Calamity). Conjurer-equivalents who can "commune with nature" like a shaman probably exist in a lot of cultures. Even beast tribes seems to all have a caster class who casts spells of their Primal's element. From some of the SMN job quests, a lot of these places are attuned to that element.

NPCs without the Echo can communicate with even Allagans just fine in the CT storyline and no one's ever had trouble understanding ancient voidsent in both that story and the current Mhach (a Lalafell civ) one. Eorzean Common seems to be much older and not limited to Hyur by what we see in-game.

I wonder if Ilberd's "primal" will be something like a nationalistic spirit of Ala Mhigo, like a giant Griffin or something.

I did appreciate being given the option to try and stay, at least. It was obvious that the story wouldn't actually let me stay but I had to try.

If you've been keeping up with Alex/tome gears and have an iLv in the 250 range, there should be 0 issues melting stuff in the new dungeons.

We should also probably take into consideration what the tiger actually is in Eorzea. According to the description of the Tiger's Eye gemstone, tigers are a legend that might be an ancestor of the coerul. If you stick to the transforming thing, chances are no one will recognize the tiger as anything but another beast.

I think the shapeshifting abilities of Imps and Sylphs are more along the lines of illusion/glamour magic rather than a real transformation, since they're usually dispelled by magic before entering combat in leves and quests. The only real transformations I can think of are those caused by cursed traps and enemy magic, like being turned into a frog in PotD and elsewhere.

I wanted to post something helpful but aside from it being the name of a gearset, I have no idea what an Onion Knight actually is. It seems like you want to go with the outside-from-Eorzea thing so if you don't mind that not really being a named class or job in the world, go for it. And since your character is from a place outside of the game, Lalafell naming conventions may not apply, but what you're using very different from either of the in-game clans.

That thing people do with their text in < carrots > is just meant to convey that they're speaking in Doman (which is most likely old-timey Japanese from the names Doman characters have) rather than Eorzean common (English, as seen in the in-game written text). It's certainly not an agreed-upon practice among the RP community anyway.

The level 50 SMN skill, Inkindle, let's the summoned Egi use that primal's supermove. It's not quite the same as the summoner themselves casting it like during a trance with Bahamut's Akh Morn/Deathflare, but it's worth taking note of.

But why was the DRG getting hit in the first place? Either the tank was losing aggro during AoE pulls or the DRG was standing in AoEs themselves. Really makes you think.

I'd like to say I could use it as my character, who already fights in melee and uses magic... But I'm getting the feeling that this job is going to go the way of WoL-only with that weapon, fighting style, and the "combination of White and Black Mage" thing. A rapier doesn't fit Jana at all anyway ;w;
