K'nahli Posted May 11, 2015 Share #51 Posted May 11, 2015 I'll consider sending Andre that way should he find himself worrying about Clover who I think will be going there for reasons. Link to comment
Saefinn Posted May 11, 2015 Share #52 Posted May 11, 2015 Heavensward has worked out quite convenient for us, for a number of reasons. For a long time, I have been trying to ICly negotiate business with Ishgardians, at an early stage, I saw potential profits for us in a nation in a war against dragons, they need supplies, we know how to get them. It has been a long time of trust building. Saefinn dreams of being the first Pirate Captain to have a deal with Ishgard since closing their gates. But the convenience doesn't halt there. Pirates...on airships, oh yes. Sky Pirates, we have a magitek engineer among us too, talking of ship parts. Oh, and what will we see for our dear Scholar Captain? Get a load of the Scholar AF in Heavensward, Steampunk, yes! And a perfect suit for Saefinn, if I dare say so myself. Events in 2.55 will help aid RP with my alt, X'hayu, the Sultansworn, she is likely to follow our crew into Ishgard and well, Dark Knight might be the appropriate next step, given the actual lore for it and given her general disposition and the current frame of mind she is in. I was originally going to keep her a Paladin (levelling Dark Knight on 2 characters is a PITA), but it may actually turn out to be a suitable fit for her - not necessarily an experiencing one, so I might not level her all the way straight away, let it build on her in a realistic time frame. From Paladin to Dark Knight, I know, Cecil wouldn't be pleased. In fact, the events in 2.55 will help with our advance to Ishgard, but will be interesting to see how the story pans out into Ishgard, but I can see us taking advantage of Ul'dah as well as things in Ishgard. We already exploit Ul'dah occasionally. Rich men, many a corrupt, so doesn't hurt the conscience if their pockets were a tad lighter. We like being criminals for a good cause, well, most of us, some just enjoy the ride. Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted May 11, 2015 Share #53 Posted May 11, 2015 Zutoto's pretty easy, she's just fascinated by this kinda stuff, and she wants to see what Ishgard food is like. Link to comment
Gone. Posted May 11, 2015 Share #54 Posted May 11, 2015 One of Vetiver's closest friends is Ishgardian, so that's one excuse. The other would be if the Astrologian guild happens to be located there as I plan on having her study it on an IC level. For Foxglove? Who knows. I'm sure she'll get dragged there at some point, I just don't know how or why. Link to comment
Dat Oni Posted May 11, 2015 Share #55 Posted May 11, 2015 A terrifying dream of a multi-armed monstrosity wielding many a blade in its ferocious claws...Of a massive whale that swims through the heavens and devours anything that crosses it...Of a towering automaton the likes of which shall shake the foundation of the earth and shatter the sky. A call to protect the innocent that a man of his caliber cannot dare refuse... Link to comment
Ryanti Posted May 12, 2015 Share #56 Posted May 12, 2015 This works out very well for my character, and his family history. Ryanti's father is Hyur, and his side of the family is Hyur. They have been a mainstay of Ul'Dah for hundreds of years, but they go back to Ishgard before that. However, the family has been out of touch with their ties to the North and their history of them being up there. So basically, Ryanti wants to go up there to fulfill a personal quest of re-discovering his family's history; his ancient lineage is what he wants to uncover. Deviating from personal reasons to business ones, Ryanti wants to get into investing for Skysteel Industries. He also wants to get his family's focus away from Ul'Dah for good especially because of all that's happened recently. Also, Sharlayan remnants are up there, and he needs to follow that too. His superiors for his black label job are up North. All of the arrows seem to point North for him, so North he will go. Link to comment

Khorijin Orben Posted May 12, 2015 Share #58 Posted May 12, 2015 Nick can't go close to Ul'dah, and since he needs to bring in money to support himself, Ishgard seems to be a prime spot to bring in the cash because he's a doctor and a healer. The merc company he works for will also probably be heading up there as a group. Link to comment

Khadan Posted May 12, 2015 Share #63 Posted May 12, 2015 *Points to forum title 'Ishgardian OG'* In seriousness, though, there's been a roughly 6-month story arc I've been running with my FC and friends whose culmination is returning to Ishgard. Most people for several different reasons. Some for revenge, some for justice, save the world etc. Family drama is great. =P Ultimately returning home to reclaim(?) his house from a corrupt matriarch and so on. From there it would be to join the Dragoons to help end the Dragonsong War once and for all. Link to comment
Kalooeh Posted May 13, 2015 Share #64 Posted May 13, 2015 Kal will likely go just because new place to explore and DRAGONS and stuff Dhei won't be getting anywhere near it because her cold tolerance is horrible and omg dragons and scary things D; ! Sam may end up there eventually for a job or maybe even curiousity, but as they tend to try to avoid being noticed most the time, going in to an area where outsiders arn't a normal thing and pretty much guaranteed to be noticed is not an ideal situation. They did meet someone who is Ishgardian though so they may eventually see about going up there to learn more about the place the friend is from. Armimi is very unlikely to go as she is short and does not want to deal with the snow. If it becomes necessary for some kind of research she may, but otherwise she's fine wandering around the old areas. Cardea may go eventually if her curiosity is peaked and she figures not much risk to her getting hurt or killed. Samhain will go if she hears about something cool and dangerous that she decides she wants, or just feels like challenging herself. Twin Rova will stay in the north and away from the cold thanks. Clover Posted May 13, 2015 Share #65 Posted May 13, 2015 Clover is in a private plot with some Spanish Friends, and their "quest" is taking them to Ishgard, so she'll naturally follow. K'mih isn't going to Ishgard. She might not even know what Ishgard is *laughs*. One of my Au Ras (also a part of the Spanish personal plot) lives in the lands beyond Ishgard. My other Au Ra... I have no idea of what she'll do, haha. Link to comment
g0ne Posted May 13, 2015 Share #66 Posted May 13, 2015 Eleni is an adventurer, and loves exploring. So, she'll be going there for fun? And she loves the cold. Absolutely loves it. Link to comment
MadWater Posted May 13, 2015 Share #67 Posted May 13, 2015 Brave has been learning more and more about Lohengarde culture, as she was separated from her parents at a very young age. She hopes to one day visit the native Lohengarde homeland in Abalathia's Spine. Link to comment
Lilia Lia Posted May 13, 2015 Share #68 Posted May 13, 2015 I may end up only going there OOC. It's probably inevitable that an FC event and/or a story arc involving another character will cause me to go there at some point, though, and when that happens I'd like to be able to have it be my character's first time seeing Ishgard, because I think that makes better RP possibilities. 1 Link to comment
Arrelaine Posted May 13, 2015 Share #69 Posted May 13, 2015 'Curiosity killed the cat' is Arry's life motto. Someday, she'll get blown to smithereens while poking at some unknown object. Link to comment

Boo the Hamster Posted May 14, 2015 Share #72 Posted May 14, 2015 Enju might see what his past life has changed to, but ultimately he will go where he is directed. He is not going to go willingly due to leaving that life behind, but he will do what must be done. If that means going to Ishgard to serve his master, and protect her from the threats that arrive from the region, then so be it. Link to comment
Sylastair Posted May 14, 2015 Share #73 Posted May 14, 2015 I am not gonna lie, I can summarize my feelings for Ishgard in one song... 9mNaO7FGaDY Phil Collins references aside, a large background plot point for The Wandering Tonberry ties to Flynt's past, his nemesis of sorts and Ishgard itself. Our fourth Season will start when Heavensard drops, and the events of previous seasons, coupled with the company's nature as specialized monster hunters will drive them there pretty quick. Story wise they will be taking their talents into these new areas to kill all these monsters and to look good doing it... Well, that and just a BIT of Ishgardian treachery, In-House fighting and Dravanian hatred . Link to comment

Velaena Posted May 15, 2015 Share #75 Posted May 15, 2015 I doubt Shizuka will be venturing into Ishgard IC'ly, since she's not a huge fan of the cold. Seraphie and Damien however are from Ishgard (Elezen), so for her it will likely be a joyous homecoming for them. Well, maybe not Damien but that's another story. Link to comment
