Mogoi Qestir Posted May 27, 2015 Share #51 Posted May 27, 2015 The biggest "roadblocks" are the dungeons/trials - either the wait times if you're not running a tank/healer or making sure you're at the required iLevel to queue for them in the first place. The rest of it is mostly just running from point A to point B and maybe beating up a mob or three. Oh, and the cutscenes, especially the last ones which extend into hours. If you're pressed for time, it might be better to skip them and then view them at your leisure from an inn room where you can settle down for the story. I certainly don't have a room, so I couldn't view them. But the cutscenes didn't feel that bad til 2.55 [THAT'S when the cutscenes get real] The ilevel is the biggest part. But a few runs of ST or CT fixes that pretty good. Link to comment
Melkire Posted May 27, 2015 Share #52 Posted May 27, 2015 I certainly don't have a room, so I couldn't view them. But the cutscenes didn't feel that bad til 2.55 [THAT'S when the cutscenes get real] Inn room, not a room in the housing wards. Inn rooms are available for free use at any time past a certain level (15, I think?) at each of the Adventurers' Guilds in the three city-states. There's a journal item in there that allows you to review any cutscenes you've been through and view any cutscenes you may have skipped. Link to comment

You unlock being able to go into an inn room at the Adventurer's Guilds around, like, level 15ish? And the main reason I mention skipping some is that the last big cutscenes take a couple hours. Jana Posted May 28, 2015 Share #54 Posted May 28, 2015 I just unlocked FCoB on my main so I can hopefully get my classes I actually intend to level up to i130, but I'm going to need a lot more time if I intend to be able to bring my alts into Ishgard (at least one of them, I do). Link to comment

I forgot that there was such a thing as inn rooms til I unlocked the... hair stylist saturday.. or maybe it was friday? One of those two days.. but yeah. I saw the book Link to comment
Niteshade_Rune Posted June 1, 2015 Share #58 Posted June 1, 2015 We're getting closer! Still hoping to power thru what I've got left on my MSQ and buy some basic lvl 50 crafting/gathering gear to help get me started heading into Heavansward. So much I wanna work on and get done before hand and not enough time lol Link to comment
allgivenover Posted June 1, 2015 Share #59 Posted June 1, 2015 For those who may be stressing about leveling alts for Heavensward, YoshiP confirmed in this interview that story quests from 2.0 will give double experience and better item rewards. So it might not be such a bad idea to wait. fWg1GunhILc 1 Link to comment

Mi Ming Posted June 2, 2015 Share #65 Posted June 2, 2015 Until Heavensward I'm basically just grinding poetics and WoD gear for my bard which I just got to 50. I'm also working on getting Blood for Blood so I can try to maximize Bard DPS. I've put relics on hold until the expansion and other than just grinding poetics I need to finish the last bit of the main story. Link to comment
Venelle Posted June 6, 2015 Share #66 Posted June 6, 2015 I'm so far behind with 2 weeks to go. I'm 3 under the ilvl needed to face off on a patch mob, not to mention i know exactly zero dungeons for high end play. Feels literally impossible for someone in my shoes, since I dont really know anyone. Link to comment

If you wanna give me a poke, lemme know. <3 Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure lots of people here would be more than willing to offer the same aid. Link to comment

Also if anyone could help my DRG kitty get past Qarn NM (yes Qarn NM, I still have to do the Guildhests THEN unlock Mog HM ;n; and none of the queues are moving..at all.) Hyrist Posted June 8, 2015 Share #69 Posted June 8, 2015 I got Eric and Lin through the main story-line, Lin's up to the Zodiac dungeons for her weapon and that's where she will stay till heavensward. For now, I think I'm going to take it easy, not burn myself out in anticipation, work on planning some role-plays down the road. Link to comment
