Hi RPC!

 

This is kinda redundant, but... Wanted to post here as a formality.＾＾

 

I've been on this forum for less than a week and in game less than two days but I've already met so many of you! To those I haven't, and those who are also posting in this subforum, too, I wanted to extend a warm greeting!

 

Couldn't be happier to be here. Love the game (or at least the ten levels I've played of it...) and I am a veteran (2004-2009) of the grindy garden of Eden that was FFXI, my first MMO. Hoping to play this game for the next five years, too!

 

I have two mains right now: Rosalind (Ul'dah) and Kamome (Limsa) and a ridiculous 6 other alts who are just basically RP NPC fodder (mostly because I went nuts when Balmung opened on Tuesday for an hour).

RIP FFXI. I spent many fond years there, and miss it sometimes. It's not the same anymore, though!

 

Welcome to Balmung and FFXIV! The future looks bright.

 

Tru dat. I did the Return to Vana'diel campaign over the summer for a week and kinda wish I hadn't. So sad and empty. ; ; Even the San d'Oria city music couldn't cheer me up.

I remember! Also remember your input on my how2doma thread. I wanted to say it last night but thought it would be too creepy: Kellach is a beautiful, beautiful man.

I'll be online for most of Saturday! Tonight my play time has been sabotaged by work-related... work. >:(

 

Hope to see some of you at the Grindstone, too! I think I'm going to check it out on my merc alt for a bit tomorrow night.

Also, you played FFXI same timeframe I did, 04-09, but I played on Fenrir server. I don't think anything can compare to the memories and experiences of XI back in its glory days, but I've been playing XIV almost five years now and I could never go back to XI, nor would I want to really after I've been spoiled in Eorzea.

I feel the same. I haven't played since 2009 or 2010, but this past summer when I ran around for an hour during the Return to Vana'diel campaign the world felt very sad and empty without my old friends there, or really... anybody, for that matter. I'm happy FFXIV is now everything I could have ever hoped it would be.

I'm back in the United States after a move out and back in to the country over the past two years. Glad to see so many familiar faces (but where is Sounsyy on every lore thread?!) and to be back. 

 

I'm dipping my toes back into the game slowly. A longtime friend of mine was using my account for a few months last year to try out the game and went full-throttle leveling some combat classes... so I'm slowly re-learning stuff and hopefully meeting all the new Roleplayers on our server in the meantime. ＾＾

Work, family and the like kept me from getting back into the game as planned back in January of this year, but now things have settled down. I am happy, as always, to see such a flourishing community on Balmung and now it seems on Mateus, too.

 

I’ve met quite a few new Mateus players and run into some familiar faces on Balmung... not completely sure which server to go with, since I have so much of the game to relearn in the long time I’ve been gone, but wherever I end up, I just wanted to send out some love to everyone who makes the RP community in XIV so wonderful. ＾＾

 

Still Kamome Greywing on Balmung, and now also on Mateus to relearn the game and figure out all the new job changes. I can’t believe we actually have an RP status tag now!

 

As one of the tiny handful of people that used to RP way back in the FFXI days when we were a tiny, tiny minority up to now... I simply cannot believe how much deep lore, RP support and brilliant storytelling exists both in FFXIV itself and in this great community. Thank you guys, so much, for putting your heart into the game and into supporting your fellow RPers and their stories. ＾＾
