She's yet to win a single race, but... bless her, we'll get there!

Away from the track, Kilid and Steelbeak are the bestest of travelling/adventuring buddies.

just unlocked all gold saucer stuff on my main. Racing bird is Quantum Swift, because I've always been interested in quantum physics and such so when I saw that option I had to go for it. I was going to make the second word as related to quantum physics as possible, but then it would be too clunky sounding and obvious.

So yeah, Quantum Swift's gonna win some races (hopefully). Calling her Quinn for short.

So I take a lot of Hindu/Buddist lore into consideration on my character's names and stories and I like SMT, so I thought it would be funny to name my Chocobo Mara, because it is basically a dick chariot and I am 12. That, and it is from that lore.

My racing one is Lord Lavende for obvious reasons, however.

(Hint: I'm LAVENDER)

I thought that was you! You kept bombing me T_T My racing 'bo is Elegant Melody, because random is a wonderful thing.

Fighting 'bo is Holiander, named after Vaughn's brother.

So after flipping through the pages of presets, I settled on the name Crucial Trot (I think? Keep forgetting the damn bird's name) for my racerbird for the simple reason of "That sounds about as silly as actual racehorse names."

Turned out to be appropriate, as the very first race I ran, I won it by pacing my speed gauge while the lead bird gassed out at the final straight.

That's how I seem to manage placing decently well most of the time. Though sometimes I hold back too much and I have, like, 20-30% more stamina than everyone else near the end and I go "OH" and spam dash the rest of the way.

... though I did have one race where EVERYONE miscalculated and we did the last third to a quarter of the rest with all the birds exhausted. Watching a full line of 8 birds panting their way to the finish line was pretty hilarious.
