Does your character fit the 'common' lore of your elezen or are they singular? (Eg. Raised by hyur so does not understand X or Y = singular) (not sure how to answer this exactly) My character fits her own lore, not sure exactly what the so called common known lore is aside from good hearing to be quite honest with it. >.>; Sort of follows the Limsa lore more then Elezen or ishgard common lore. 3. What are your Rp limits, if any? (Eg: no permadeath, no ERp etc) No real limits, would rather stay away from erp and perma death... maybe some other time I might be willing to kill the character off but not yet. Everything else is fair game, the character is more or less a smith's daughter but tends ending up fighting in order to survive from one event to the other. Is it too much to ask for a peaceful evening here and there?

With this thought in mind she took to seeking out a few companions she had met in her most recent travels from Gridania to Ul'dah. Contacting each of them or at least trying to as she got the lot to meet her at Amajina&Son's Mineral Concern Natya explained to this group she had gathered before her that she sought to protect not only the ground but the skies as well. Her proposal and ambition seemed to perk the interest and curiosity of the group before her. Agreeing to help this far-fetched goal to be achieved the group found their first challenge... A name for this soon to be band. A name that was settled on as soon as the words were spoken "SkyGuard Corsairs". I think you are the first EST person I've seen (that I know of) ... I seem to end up staying up far too late due to my EU friends that rp though if you see me around the server feel free to hit me up.

I think I've seen you around Ul'dah's guild I don't stick in Ul'dah long myself though. Though if you see me around feel free to bother me, rarely busy (goes for anyone else really... i tend to be all over).

I've loved reading these thus far (read your other thread as well just never posted). I've seen first hand group who are in say rp'ing out just flat out ignore someone. It made me feel a bit sorry for the one being ignored. If you are rp'ing in say, personally my thought is you are inviting people to try and join you. Might be just my thoughts though. The free company group I help run, all of our rp's are in say. We've had a few people just join us at random. ^^ it's quite easy to adjust and it can add a new flair to whatever is going on.

I wouldn't call it all that rare... that or I just have uncanny luck in coming across groups doing just open rp. I know the free company I'm in, all of our group sessions are more or less open. I mainly see them around towns or quest hubs though.

seems to be a common problem unless you network with a few LS groups. ^^; I keep my search information set to rp. So unless I appear to be afk (i normally set my tags to show that) feel free to hit me up.

How did I overlook this topic ? Anyway, this sounds exactly what a group of us are looking for. Currently a friend and myself got the crazy notion to start up a Free Company based on similar ideas as what was posted here. I'd love to get in contact with you and see if we can't work out interactions of some sort. Networking is key right? Maybe even working out something to involve the other members of the group I'm in, I've been more or less focused on crafting and leveling where I'm behind.

I was thinking this the other day after only having a handful of rp interactions with the small still forming FC that I'm in. ^^; I get nervous around that group and they are people I know well, the thought of just seeking out random rp community members never dawned on me because I assumed it would not end well. Though this thread has some good advice in it..still not sure i'm really ready to just reach out to someone. >w< someday though. It is very refreshing to see how supportive the community is as a whole though... after being booted from a FC (booted after waiting 2-3 months in the application process and right before they finally got around to ic interviews...) that I was going to join I've been sort of .. under the impression that rp'ers on this game were like any other rp'ers and having such high standards I might as well not bother. =/

The sun sensitivity is a interesting idea. I was thinking about that the other day actually. If most DW's do stay underground/shaded area would they be effected by the sun differently or even have issues seeing in certain lighting without adjusting properly. Wish there was more lore confirming some of this though.

Yeah I was kind of figuring on keeping to the french style rule for the names. I've already glanced over the wiki a bit ^^ very informative (Once i have more free time maybe i can read more).

Oh no no... as much as I do enjoy Drow lore and reading stories on them (certain stories anyway... probably the less popular ones), I don't see me going that route. Though now that you mentioned it... it would be interesting to see how someone would play that idea out. But I'm not that bold. Maybe later today I'll finish detailing things out and such on the clan. I had pretty much done half of the work to that just because I needed something to waste my time ... not it's just putting it together and officially naming it. edit: Was it mentioned in how to go about naming the clans? : o I haven't had the luxury of time to back read that far today.

This really makes me want to finish fleshing out the details on my character's family/clan. I had started details on his close family but made mentions towards elders and such at some point. Even if he doesn't actively interact with the clan now I think it might be fun to do and put details in ^^; Granted it seems like the clan I would be writing out would be more craft/gatherer base then fighter.

Haha that sounds about what I have a year It is true.. I mean i hear some say it is over rated.. but I'll happily take their share of the bacon in the world then >w>

There finally updated and finished that. If i wasn't called from the computer so often it would have been done a day or so ago. ^^; Also it has been more then a blast to read the others posted >w< I have a few more pages worth of reading to do.

Glad I'm not the only one intimidated by the writing on this site. It has been more then fun reading through what people post and come up with. It makes me feel like I'm not trying hard enough even with the amount of time I put into the character. I've also yet to really get a chance to try out any in game rp'ing. ^^; I hope to do so soon with the beta about to open up again.

Well I wish I had found this sooner. Here I've been fretting over what I'm suppose to do with a free company interview that is in character once the OB hits. Maybe this upcoming beta I can see about getting into one of these sessions. Seems like a good place to start (really glad I'm not the only one who is unsure about what to do or how to go about things). >w<

i know there re the ranched that raise the dodo birds or whatever in the game as well.. as I think giant chickens ^^; For grazing animals i've only seen the lost lambs so far..

Not sure what I plan to wear during rp, depends on what I am doing at the time I suppose. I'm pretty lucky in that I did see some starting gear that I very much liked that was a sort of casual guard type of look to it.
