  1. Since when have mass pulls in Sohm Al been a thing? Can someone inform me? Or is this one of those classic "welcome back, btw T2 enrage strat is a thing" moments? I mean I guess I'd be more understanding if everyone was level synced from 60 and the dps comp wasn't a MCH and a MNK. Didn't help that the non-synced tank rarely ever used cooldowns and stood in AoE. Even without that, the trash mobs in there still hit hard. The run could have gone so much faster if he just pulled normally and let me focus on not-healing...
  2. Please no new races. Given how the Au Ra (who are nothing more than dis-proportioned reptilian miqo'te) were handled, or rather... how they weren't handled, why would anyone want this? Zero relevance in their own expansion? What a joke. But then, would the opposite be better - an expansion dedicated to a new race, their lore and lands? Maybe, but not for 4.0. I'd rather the focus be on Ala Mhigo, not some human-looking race with random features tacked onto their models. Garleans get a free pass though, adding them in as a playable race might actually make some sense depending on how 4.0's story progresses. Not to mention they have the added bonus of already existing and having more than a page's worth of lore. And as much as I like Viera, if they were added to the game their presence would only serve to remind me that there will never be an Ivalice Online, so no thank you.
  3. One would hope. Maybe they'll find the time and money to print some more once the last Fanfest concludes.
  4. I thought MSQ was really good this patch on the sole basis that it didn't focus at all on Ishgard's perfect, flawless resolution and how much of an amazing person Aymeric is. The Ala Mhigan Resistance's representation was very nice (reckless, self-absorbed and self-righteous), and if they do away with that and make its key players shining beacons of good and justice in 4.0, as they did with Ishgard, I will be very disappointed. The Warrior of Darkness, now there's a real human bean.
  5. Because of the earthquakes/subsequent flooding in Japan. It's both out of respect for those who have lost homes, and a courtesy to those who may not be able to access their in-game houses due to these natural disasters. It's good press and customer relations for Square Enix to do so, as Japanese players are their target audience and priority. It's also a very Japanese thing, i.e. Titan being entirely cut from 1.0 due to the earthquakes in Japan around that time. All we can do is wait.
  6. Think OP is referring to the yellow, glowing crystal formations as seen in Eastern and Northern Thanalan... maybe? It's unclear. I was quite sure at first and now I'm second guessing myself.
  7. If they truly only cost 500k gil Balmung is going to be an absolute nuthouse on patch day - moreso than last time, since more people know what to expect. 1,536 might seem like a lot, but when you consider not just RP mains, but people scrambling to get one on their alts, and scalpers looking to make a profit... Even worse if you can have an apartment and a private house simultaneously. They'll probably all sell out in 20 minutes. Again.
  8. Limited amount of apartments. Good luck, Balmung!
  9. Yeah man what Franz said. When Frontlines first came out WARs dropping their soulstones to go MRD was crazy popular. You definitely lose out on a lot of stats and skills with no job (muh Huton) but if you wiped on a trial (or was it a 4-man dungeon? I'm confused) it's because some people in your group had rocks for brains, not because you did less damage than you usually do. Shit man, half the time I get into groups with Ninjas they don't even use Huton, or let it drop off constantly, which IMO is way worse than forgetting to equip your soulstone. Really brings my piss to a boil.
  10. Don't you sometimes wish you could perfectly tank and heal at the same time? I usually do Experts as a healer because I'm not partial towards running 4-man content with Heal-Only Types and I'm confident that muh deeps can help get the run done faster. But then you get the tank that never pulls more than one pack of trash at a time... or they DO but they don't use any cooldown thus gimping your DPS opportunities. So... then you queue as a tank because FUCK that, and then you get the healer that doesn't DPS - worse, it's a SCH. You even pull timidly at first and shuffle your cooldowns accordingly, but it doesn't matter. Nothing. Sometimes they might throw out a non-Cleric'd Aero or Bio as if they think they're Toto-Rak or some shit. That's it. Every time you tank it's as if all the Holy Bombing 360 Stone-scoped healers have dispersed into aether. DPS... doesn't matter. You want the faster queue time and the DPS are either going to be great or magnificently incompetent. Worth a gamble. The only time you'll ever experience an in-between is when you bite the bullet and wait 15-20 minutes, and your co-partner is a MCH that doesn't use Hot Shot because he thinks Gauss Barrel cancels it out. So anyway... what I'm trying to say is: You just can't win in this game. Try and have fun, though.
  11. Ah yes, the timeless argument. Personally, I'd rather have a healer who forgets to turn Clerics off and causes a party wipe than a lazy sack of shit level 60 Scholar that just stands around with his thumb up his ass in Tam-Tara NM. But that's just my opinion.
  12. ONLY Me x Haurchefant. The rest of yous can have Sir Estinien Dick Lips and Blue-Eyed Bland Man. Haurchefant deserves the same pure and steadfast adoration he affords you. Multiple elezen husbando keepers need not apply.
  13. WHOA WHOA WHOA! Too much savagery. I can't help it, I have a love affair with regen.
  14. It's a "Level 60 White Mage never uses regen" episode. I know you have the skill, you stank-ass bitch.
  15. SE did away with the armoire delay some time back. This makes me so happy to hear. Are they finally pulling their head out of their asses when it comes to the armoire? Will we someday be able to throw all our extra greens/blues in there for endless glamour wardrobe? I can dream.
  16. Personally I find these... creatures to be over-designed and annoying to look at, and the weapon rewards are not much better. However, I will commit myself to this for the sake of having such a silly looking mount. If I can't throw the weapons immediately into my armoire and have to wait some unknown amount of time to do so, I will face God and walk backwards into hell.
  17. Ahhhh this! I'd love Geomancer, or even a Geomancer-like job, way more than I want Samurai or Blue Mage. It'll probably never happen though.
  18. I think it's more likely that the 45 day timer will start after they start up the reclamation thing again, as opposed to them turning it back on and suddenly a bunch of houses explode. Well, it might depend on if they 'resume' the timer from where it was at or if it reset. I believe it's going to be 45 days starting from patch 3.35.
  19. Sure I'll get on it once the FC leader logs back in (I'm going to sleep forever though). And for those interested: Of the 240 plots in Lavender Beds, 44 were purchased by Free Companies. Of the 240 plots in the Goblet, 57 were purchased by Free Companies. Of the 240 plots in Mists, 50 were purchased by Free Companies. 151/720 new plots are owned by Free Companies. That's about 21%. Th-thanks, Square Enix...
  20. Highly unlikely. Probably a joke. Unfortunately not. A FC by the name of DragonsKith bought most of the smalls in Beds and Goblet and have been selling them for 50 and 75 mil each. So yes, the Housing Mafia struck again... I saw, though I doubt they actually have MOST of the smalls. Report them. Not like anyone would buy a small for that price anyway.
  21. Highly unlikely. Probably a joke.
  22. For those of you who are wondering, I recorded to the best of my ability a play-by-play of the housing situation on Balmung. All times are approximate and some events may have occurred before the listed time, since I can only teleport so fast. All times are by EST. 6:00 - Servers open 6:01 - Mists begins to fill. Ward 11 fills twice as fast compared to the three other wards. 6:06 - Approximately half of Mists is sold. 6:15 - Lavender Beds almost cleaned out. ~6 Large plots remain with a straggling Medium or two. 6:15 - Half of the Goblet is sold. 6:16 - Mists sells out. 6:17 - Only plots 36 and 58 of Ward 9 Lavender remain. 6:19 - 12 plots remain in the Goblet. 6:19 - Lavender Beds sells out. 6:21 - One medium in the Goblet remains. 6:21 - Goblet sells out. Congratulations to those who were successful in their endeavors, and encouragement to those who were not so fortunate. There will always be more chances in the days to come.
  23. All houses have now been sold.
  24. Suikoden 5 is garbage... compared to 1-3. Just a pale imitation of 2 that drags its feet and fails to recapture any of its charm (plus dem loading times). I still love the shit out of it though. I love all Suikoden games. I love Suikoden. I hate Konami. Anyway I made this album of Suikoden movie posters I made for you all to enjoy, because Suikoden fans deserve to smile. http://imgur.com/a/IXtRl
