1. "By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you Roegadyn and wife. You may kiss the bride, kupo!" Chirped the Moogle with a theatrical twirl and a toot on his wee trumpet. Bryn smiled and leaned in to kiss her man slowly, savouring the moment to store it away as a treasured memory as applause erupted within the chapel. Her heart felt as if it might spill over with joy as their kiss came to an end and Bryn straightened, opening her eyes. Was it the lighting in here, or did Daghbheri kind of look like Berrod? She blinked. Dagh still looked like Berrod. She was staring. Berrod stared back at her, looking like Berrod. Dagh was Berrod. The panic welling up in her chest escaped as a strangled croak of a cry. The audience continued to applaud, as if nothing at all was wrong. In the front row, Brave Horizon was whispering something to Arcian Martell, pointing at Bryn's new husband with an impish grin. Bryn's pale eyes slowly followed Brave's pointing finger, trailing down Berrod's bare, muscular body... Her terror finally rang in a scream at the sight of the Eft-in-a-leather-glove. That scream followed her into Eorzea as she awoke, waking half of the Brume with her.
2. Aeon FC's 'New Recruitment Structure (NRS)' is now in place! You can view the details over here. To accompany the proposal of the NRS to our members, we performed a census and a 'health check' of our company. For your interest, you can view it below.
3. "Wulf. I have an order to collect. Thank you." The knight deposited the sack of gil upon the counter top with a soft clink. The apothecary, an ageing, skinny and stooped Midlander man who squinted at her from behind his spectacles, nodded and turned toward the back of his stall. Brynhilde leaned wearily on the counter as the early morning commotion of the exchange fluttered all around her. The long journeys back-and-forth between Ul'dah and Ishgard were taking their toll. Naturally she'd not admit it, but she ached. When she wasn't travelling, she was working; it was no mean feat to keep Cliffperch stocked with food for her charges, and to keep 'Bharfyst' fed and warm. But it was getting no easier, and so Bryn had resolved to work harder. Somehow. It was as she mused upon her money woes that her eyes settled upon a discarded copy of the Lantern sat atop the counter. She frowned and flipped it over. Staring back at Bryn was that picture; the one that had sparked all the friction between herself and her man, and had caused their worst argument in moons. The Highlander woman, the 'Sultansworn' as Bryn knew her, looked back at her from the picture. With a sneer and a disdainful scoff, Brynhilde tossed the paper away. "Harlot."
4. Sign Brynhilde up for a story/some good wholesome 'Mhigan philosophy! Bring a rainproof poncho; it'll be sunny with a chance of flying entrails.
5. There is no such thing as a general 'British accent'. Britain claims dozens, if not hundreds of unique localized dialects, some very similar, and many radically different. The archaic language in FFXIV's English dialogue, which, as far as I can tell, is all genuinely pulled from actual usage in older English, I personally find to be wonderfully fitting. I am British myself, however, so perhaps I would naturally be more comfortable with phrases such as 'Is aught amiss?' (which is a phrase still used in some areas in the UK, by the way), than our friends-across-the-pond might be. These terms and phrases are obviously used to enhance FFXIV's setting, as Eorzea is a pseudo-medieval fantasy society, the langauge is altered accordingly for the sake of immersion. However, much like in Britain, Eorzea has a wide range of accents and dialects, too. Compare, say, Urianger to Biggs. They are worlds apart, not inly in terms of vocabulary, but in accent. This generally serves not only to demarcate the different regional origins of the characters, but also their class background and general personality. There's everything from London cockney (Ul'dah and the Ala Mhigans), something that seems to be akin to a Yorkshire accent (Limsa Lominsa), and what's known as 'received pronunciation', generally considered standard English and more commonly known as the Queen's English (Garleans, Gridania). TLDR; Eorzea's 'faux-British' accents and vocab are varied, like in actual Britain. Not all characters use the same vocabulary, so if you don't like the more archaic terms the NPCs often use, you needn't use them yourself.
6. If you go to the scholasti... Scholac... That fucking library in the Cathedral in Ishgard after finishing the MSQ, the NPCs in there all mention that they're busy revising the church's doctrine in light of the 'recent revelations'.
7. For reference. Of note is the last paragraph in the journal. It seems to suggest that children born of noblemen and their maidservants are not uncommon, but of course we've no way of knowing how many of them would be halfbreeds as a result.
8. What I found curious was her name. Her model is very obviously Midlander, but 'Hilda' is a Germanic name, and by all rights would suggest Highlander origin.
9. Hello RPC, A quick update from Aeon; recruitment remains closed for now, and we will soon be moving to an invitation-only model. Details will soon be up on our site at rune.enjin.com However, we will begin crafting events 2-3 weeks after patch 3.0 lands, with a wide variety of events open to participation from non-FC members. Please look forward to it!

12. Choo choo here comes the nostalgia train
13. Jchcruybdrjyvbvbd You got me ridiculously excited with that thread title. > Anyway, when I get home from work I'll throw some money behind this. I need to drink more soda and ride more forklifts, damnit.
14. Hah, sounds like there's a few of us planning that. I made a FFXIV/Aeon card deck just for maint night, so we're having a drinking/Mumble/CAH evening.
15. Filthy, glorious socialism means that here in the UK, my employer is paying me a week's wages to sit at home in my bra and Sonic PJ bottoms, wolfing down pop tarts while I make the push to 60. If maintenance goes to plan, servers reopen at 9AM Friday morning. You better believe I'll be there, obsessively reclicking at 8:59AM.
16. Unlock flying asap, then MSQ and PLD to 60!
17. Yo! Welcome to Balmizzle and the RPC.
18. Bryn goes where she feels she can do the most good. If Ishgard throws open its gates and there are souls in need within, her quest for redemption demands that she go.
19. Well, not really 'confirmed'. But they are looking into it. I hope it gets implemented, though; seeing Aeon's wolf pup, Gylbarde the Great, tearing about Cliffperch would be wonderful.
20. There's a BABY GRIFFIN MINION. I'm gonna fly on my badass Griffin mount while wearing Griffin pvp gear, with my baby Griffin minion flying behind because Griffins.
