I'm not sure if I agree that the two might be exclusive of one another. But then again, I tend to think that elitism - particularly the 'negative' connotation of it - has more to do with attitudes than skill. "You aren't good enough" versus "Here's how you can improve" are very much different facets of the need to have certain standards both in your own RP and that of those you chose or neglect to interact with. As you say, elitism isn't necessarily a bad thing. On that I agree with you 100%. But I do believe there are some that do take it to that extreme and people tend to remember or at least make note of that more. Then again I could be one of those that misuses the word anyway.

Has your character changed from beta/release? Yep. I went from being a female Roegadyn who would have basically been a carbon copy of my precious WoW baby, to a wonderful little lalafell who is something a little different. Don't regret it at all. Have your expectations out of the RP community changed? Not really, I guess. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect as the last RP community I was actively participating in was probably with WoW several years ago, so it was a bit odd getting back into the swing of things. However there's been nothing but rad people who have made me feel very welcome and comfortable. So hooray!

I criticize female Roegadyn for having no butts. At. All. None. Take all your Roegadame's clothes off and turn her sideways. See what I mean? Even so they're still a lot more sexualised than male characters tend to be. It's rare to find male character models with a bulge in their underwear, even if it'd be realistic to see one. I'm getting a little tired of the 'Action Man' style anatomy in MMO's. OHGODTHIS. Completely independent of sexual interests, it just looks wrong to have these Barbie-doll crotches on all the men. Especially Roe guys. Have you seen one of them in the summer wear thong? I have. It's borderline disturbing and for the completely wrong reason! It's baffling, really - there's a lot of skimpy attire for men in this game and yet it just looks silly because the base character model are just so flat in regards to the crotch region to the point where it looks glaringly unrealistic. I'm hoping TESO will be a step in the right direction by allowing us to customise that portion of our character's body, but apparently it's 'too crude' to have something like that in MMO's and yet it's 'perfectly fine' to have a breast slider... I love each and every one of you.

This. While I can see the angle you're coming from and relate to that frustration, buying the whole game over again is basically paying for two months worth of time and getting one. Meanwhile your compromised account it sitting there with all your stuff. No one likes wrestling with customer support. It's frustrating. It's a head ache. But it's a day of chewing out some poor CS compared to setting $15 on fire and losing your character. ^ ^ ^ I'm so sorry it's happened to you but I would totally consider figuring out exactly what happened and what steps can be taken to fix it.

I'm drawing some big blanks here thinking about this but I think Jajara's got a bit of John Aversin from Barbara Hambly's Dragonsbane in her. He was a bit of a bumpkin that ended up being given lordship of the desolate north after doing something nobody else could do just because he had to. While Jajara isn't about to go doing any of that, parts of her personality echo Aversin's: both are humble, salt of the earth types who are often dismissed as bumbling bumpkins. Both strive for goodness but are still very much aware of their own weaknesses and shortcomings. Both have dealt with abusive or neglectful parents/guardians, but both strive to better themselves because of it.

Absolutely fascinated by the way you draw and shade hair. So in love with your lines! @_@

Jajara would be a dog of some sort, most likely a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel because of size and temperment. Laid back, eager to make friends regardless of size, loyal, and playful... that's Jajara summed up. And those ears! Big ears. Also I thought dog because of their characterization in the zodiac: loyal, honest, good with secrets, and strong-willed.
