Well, yes.. in fact the whole game builds up like that introducing mechanics and such early and then combining them and increasing difficulty later. What you probably hit is the point where mistakes or overlooking a mechanic has a substantial effect that can change the outcome. The end end game dungeons also feature sudden death for failure, though this tends to be softened as they open it up to more people. Provided people take time to explain then the content is not too tough, and just think of the extra feeling of achievement when you complete something that was a challenge. Hope that helps?

Great to hear the good RP news! I would just post the LS here even without a web page, most linkshells don't have one and it is a good place to point people. (As an aside if you want more Balmung has a growing EU contingent, just creating characters is a pain but transfer is an option)

I get the same feeling, I know I can do it I know I want to but I just find an excuse not to because of all the shit. I hardly ever have been to Shiva alone because of this. I am lucky to now have a static. I know we (the community) keep making "help us win" type things but I am unsure how much they manage. I think it is also worth noting that the interaction between people in the real world, outside of RP is not all fun and roses too. To some extent we are part of the developing way that people interact. Just one more channel and medium for people to connect with all the good and bad that comes with that. That is not an excuse for being irresponsible or for vulnerable people being hurt, just that human nature is quite bad in some respects.

Pulling out the coloured note her eyes widened and she did a little skip, and a squeee may have leaked from her lips. Then after checking no one saw her display she tucked the note quickly under her pointy hat and scurried off to her favourite tree to read more of this talent thing.

I thought it was a good take on things from the OP, I had not thought about that last one of OOC talking through the nature of what happened. Generally I would say on any none mainstream RP type scene, ask what the others are comfortable with .. and also importantly say what you are comfortable with. Then play to the lowest common denominator. I have been around and done many variations, and will only do what suits the character/RP and am perfectly happy fading to black as it is the RP what interests me not the sex. Though intimate RP does add extra dimensions I find (does not have to be sex).
