Welcome Fellow Brit - check (though not a Yorkshireman I bet?) List of MMORPGs - check (a good set of standard ones there) RPer already - great! New to FFXIV - well there is lore, but it's kind of .. yea.. kind of. Don't worry you will soon pick that up and there is plenty of scope for RP ideas to fit Tome wise there are some EU based Linkshells and Free Companies, and as a night owl you will probably be able to make a lot of the events that kind of start late evening. Though.. there is a some running EU time zone events. I find mornings to reset time are good for playing the game with some casual RP, then evenings you can get some good RP grove going. Take it easy, go to events and before you know it you will be "one of us"

Well from what you say I would probably recommend one of the larger FCs that have most members on in the US timezones. There are a few, as for endorsements I feel I could say Unsung Heroes as I am a member (see link in sig). There are smaller new FCs that I think offer more involvement as you get in at the start, but the downside is you won't have the numbers to always be there when you want to run content.

I hope you find some understanding and some more lasting RPs.

Hop, went the frog, around the fellow. Hop, and hop hop, away. "Aggggg" slam! Went Nebula as she dove for the frog, this time tripping on her robe and landing in a spectacular face dive into the floor at the fellows feet. The young Keeper with light blue hair, dressed in old worn green robes and rather large pointy hat was probably some kind of magic user. The rather sturdy boots on her feet indication someone who also one who walked a lot. Laying there in defeat Nebula just sighed and gave up, which is exactly how she put it, "I give up" The frog, was gone and would probably lead a healthy life until someone put it in a pot for supper.

Welcome, glad you are already hitting RP, it really is out there and a great community where I am sure you can find something to suit. Check out Free Companies (Guilds) and Linkshells (chats) listed on the forum. Find ones that seem to have what you are looking for. And as a Mom.. do you bake?
