Nothing is ever perfect but RP is very much alive and there is a broad range of types and styles. I came as a filler before wildstar release, and am still here.... I never even bought wildstar.

This And any housing system where we can all have a house, FFXIV housing is basically broken just for that one aspect. I even know people who are hanging onto multiple plots to make a profit.

Okay, Tank.. hold back and let the healer get the aggro.. be tying your show lace or something. Then run in and attack one mob, but make sure you have shild oath up and talk about your awesom dps or how in the last dungeon you out dps'ed the black mage.. yea yea I know this is level 15.. but. Now DPS this is important both auto attack different mobs. Ok set.. and Tank feel free to abandon us at any point. Go! Oh what you already wiped.

Nebula dove out of the way of the fire blast, the flames setting the frayed edges of her old robes to flame and scorching her hair. She was ready she had practiced this move for days.... Rolling and coming up on her feet Nebula was already casting as she pulled out her trusty wand to despatch her opponent. Words of power came like song from her lips and the Aether and elements flowed through her.. Spoon! She was holding an old wooden spoon where her wand was supposed to be, maybe cooking before a fight was a bad idea? It was too late the spell was cast and the spoon was wood, how bad could it be? Nebula's hand spun making the spoon follow complex stirring patterns and release the magics. Then destruction was released at her foe in the form of muffins, stone chipped muffins that pelted the target in a cakey soft pebble dash. "Take that hair scorcher, I am not to be trifled with. Fear my spoon!" Then she ran.

Just a few pointers... Description that adds flavour feeling and colours in the RP Give enough information for your opponent(s) to respond to and always address what they are doing. Take blows and be affected by attacks. So now you can RP, what about winning and loosing? I prefer to let the RP resolve it but you need some trust and raport to achieve that. Generally I have seen some form of RNG used to determine the outcome, just make it believable in the RP and make it enjoyable. Also, loosing gets the best RP imo.

Lore aside my view us that the main criteria for RPing some powerful type is can you actually pull it off in your RP. So often people equate gear and lables as proof, where as it is your ability to be believable IC. This was never moreso an issue than in SWTOR where so called Jebi Masters lacked the ability to play a convincing master. End result is other players don't accept you. Play what you want but if you want others to accept your IC assertion make it belivable.

Welcome.. Checkout the Linshshell list for suitable shells (like a chat channel) and Free Companies (like a guild). There are penalty to suit many tastes. I guess you like the game? Maybe you could tell us a little more abut what sort of RP you like, and what other RP experience you have had?

Nebula is reunited with Numi!

Nebula is a young witch in training, with a darker and older past. As part of her witchery training she has been sent from the Shroud to Limsa to learn other forms of magic. She is happy and carefree until her witch's frown comes out, then best not be in her way. Mostly she loves to help and heal people, though she pays her way with strange jobs here and there.

Start some forum RP Write a piece of fiction (that's what I did) Do the 101 questions about my char You could even make them as another race for now if you can overlook all the missing stuff Just on what you have said though could I offer an alternative starting point? That is to wind back back on some of her skills and develop them further either through the writing above or in game. So she could be an young entertainer that starts out good at reading her audience, then as she progresses the dreams she has been having start to come as she performs. This would then lead into Astralogian training. That way you can get to know the character through RP and development. If you want to start them now, work in a curse. You know ensourceled to look like a which involved switching her with another baby. Just time the RP revelation and restoration for when the expansion hits. That is assuming we can change to that race when it comes out right away.

Not that I owe, but more that I want to RP bump into. Honestly, since the patch when I look most people are busy, though my numbers are going up. Also it is not as hit and run as it sounds, I always return to the scene of the crime if I spot you and will probably buzz in for extra RPs on the off chance. So people.. stop being busy and get your RP flags up!

Welcome to a great RP place. I did start out RPing heavily pre Wildstar launch on the forums, but got trapped here and never bought Wildstar or is that I am unsure. Anyhow, as a Bard type, if you want to IC perform then join this Linkshell when you get in game. [soliloquy]

We all have bad days I can forgive and you also need to forgive yourself.

Generally I will engage people in an RP way and see if they respond. If they do and while ever it is good natured I will adjust my style to them. I have had some nice interactions that would probably be considered OOC in most circles, but that's how they choose to play the game and it is a little fun not hurting others. If they don't respond then they either get ignored or become the butt of a joke, like that paladin table dancer (paladin who chose to stand in the middle of a table). If they get offensive etc.. blocked, screen shots, reported as appropriate. As for your FC house, if you want random visitors leave it open otherwise shut it. Maybe give the FC members permission to open it so they can let friends in. Not sure on this, if it is persistent harassment.. report etc.

Welcome to RPC, and to Balmung! Check out the Linkshell list, there are plenty of Shells and Free Companies there that I think you could fit in with. I'd look for ones that welcome people and say something about new players and helping with RP.
