Absolutely awesome! Mine isn't that amazing, but I finally got stable (and fast holy shit) internet after a few months of having a terrible connection. No more constant disconnects! I can actually play again.

Erik works hard for the community, and it certainly does not go unnoticed! I'm very thankful for him and the ball that he's putting together. I only wish I could attend ;-; Val's catman always has me in stitches.

I'm a firm believer in communication -- but that's for myself. Everyone is different, and that's not even getting into circumstances. I have had my feelings hurt OOC before, and the first thing I tried to do was to communicate with the person involved to find out why things had happened the way they did. That may not work for every situation -- what if the offending party/parties are being deliberately malicious? In that case, distance is my go-to. Even then, communication comes up, since I usually confide my feelings in someone I trust (usually someone IRL) to gain some perspective, get things off my chest and maybe get a little advice. I hope you feel better and whatever has been bothering you is resolved in as peaceful a manner as possible.

BACK ON TOPIC: In all regards though, DRK is a wicked class and I expect more or less general PLD RPers to just be getting a bigger sword and proceeding a usual. Mages might pick it up as a means to incorporate magic into their newfound blademastery, hell, it's super open ended. There's gonna be the lot that will pull the uncreative card and just Guts McEdge all over the place though. And that's as normal as a Miqo ERPer in the QS wearing nothing but the Hempen set charging 40k an RP. I love Ul'Dah. I love you. And then there'll be the few people who take and respect the concept of Dark Knight and play it as something awesome and engaging. There's a spectrum for everything, if some people want to water down the job into mundane greatsword swinging, then it's cool for others to want to pump it up into the dark magic using bigsword edgy badassery. And I'll be roleplaying with the folks on both ends and having a blast.

IF it was holy -- if-- then helping someone carry on the torch of the Dawn is a good enough reason to pull it out, I think.

Considering she's a conjurer I wouldn't say it's out of character for someone thinking they were about to die to channel a huge burst of white magic similar to holy. I've actually been hoping that that spell and the red slicing thing Ilberd did were previews of spell animations from 3.0 >.>
