  1. Plausible but not confirmed. I'll try to get back on and keep at MSQ and start on WAR.
  2. All right here's bits of questlines I caught up on : WAR -> Follow in the steps of Mythril Heart, legendary Warrior even among Warriors, by helping Curious Gorge's brother. PLD -> Continuation of the Oathkeeper quest, with notices that it has been actually found but the free paladin that found it disappeared. You go through this with Papashan, btw. BRD -> A prominent Bard student is sent alongside an Order of the Twin Adder enthusiast about songs in order to find the Ballad of Oblivion. You mentor them. MNK -> Widargelt took on students, two orphaned miqo'te. You do a demonstration to them then he is suddenly attacked by a group using the arts of the Monk. CRP -> A Templar Knight's lance is found in the Black Shroud, you hunt down the owner's son who requests your services to craft him a bow because he's not a dumbass like dear ol' dad. BSM -> A noble house's servant fallen from grace seeks your expertise to craft weapons for his master, who will be attempting to win a Templar Knight competition to restore honor to her name. ARM -> Blantsyr seeks to understand the danger that comes with people wearing the armor he crafts, so he dons a set of Wolfram Armor, and proceeds to get his ass handed to him by a rat. You decide to help him hone his craft even further. CUL -> The Missing Member's head chef won a prestigious competition. You are tasked by the waitress to win the second competition to put his catboy ass in his place as he is an insufferable piece of shit. GSM -> You are tasked by a Jewelry store to craft a masterpiece for an Immortal Flames' commander by virtue of his wife. WVR -> Redolent Rose sends you to Ishgard in the hopes there's some extensive work to be done there. You end up becoming the private tailor to a sheltered young woman who really, REALLY hates the sheltering. LTW -> Fen-Yll's fineries to Ishgard send you to refuse a client's request, which you do and he understands, but he pleads you to stay and help him create a leather goods store that accepts everyone's gil, rather than just the nobles' ('cause yeah apparently in Ishgard gil HAS a color!) MIN -> House Fortemps has a commission for prospecting. Guess who's going? You also meet a sort of foreigner legion under House Fortemps' protection as well. And Hatchling. Can't forget Hatchling. They also call you Professor. FSH -> An Ishgardian friend of Wawalago visits him, and forgets his rod at the guild. You bring it back to him, and the both of you tell fish tales as he invites you over to fish in Ishgard.
  3. Was just about to break 52, too! Oh wells. We'll see if when I get back from getting bodied in MKX, game'll be more lenient to letting me in
  4. AND HERE WE GO AGAIN. Game just kicked me out, 90002. Tried to log back in, 2002.
  5. Yeah, it's a data server thing. In this case it's S-E's fault for sure, but it's not something I'd put on QA's end, but rather on the planning levels dev side. No amount of QA can prepare for anything related to online.
  6. Just so you know. I am 25 ping from the server at worse times. and I'm getting these errors. * * * After the last game I worked on had stupid launch issues like this, I kinda feel a bit smug that it's happening to me on a consumer level.
  7. If it wasn't for the Woosley translation Kefka would be extremely forgettable. That team salvaged that villain from the shadows of utter obscurity to such an extent you can still hear old school fans yelling out son of a submariner and all the other quotes that are simply not present in the Japanese script. Sephiroth had an extremely shoddy translation that ensured he had no personality whatsoever other than BROODING. Which would have been fine if it wasn't for the fact that you already had two party members doing the exact same fucking thing. Then again FF villains have never really been well-developed when I think about it. Most of their motivations are boiled down to "they're evil, kill 'em".
  8. I'm just sippin' a starbucks macchiato for some ass balls reason instead of frantically being in front of my computer flippin' out about dis shit. Played some Smash Bros with the colleagues prior. I really feel I made the right choice to not rush home to try and play.
  9. Not exactly my point - just that FFVII was a very radical departure from what came before (Without knowing what to do, it really feels like you're stuck in Midgar for QUITE some time. It's not 20 hours, not by a long shot, but it was significant enough that I really didn't care for the game at the time), same with XIII. An argument can be made that XIII failed where VII succeeded, but to me, personally, it didn't. XIII exists, and when I'll play it I'll play it with an open mind and play it thoroughly. Like I'll play the remake with one even though I really, really do not like VII.
  10. I remember saying the exact same shit about VII years ago. Except replace comic relief with "the only black character I've seen in a RPG at the time". Just sayin'.
  11. 1) I am so glad I'm working today. 2) At least I can retouch my Au Ra. 3) Why let all these poopsocks go to waste refresh like mad and forget to bathroom.
  12. I'm kinda not into the whole "why aren't people playing everymans" because the very definition of everymans requires the player to ignore 90% of what's happening and just say "Sigh life is hard" without the power to do anything about it. Now imagine if ALL your RP was essentially going to the Quicksand and lament that life is hard because taxes etc. what-have-you. You'd get bored of it but more importantly many others would get bored of it and just not accost you anymore. And since you're an everyman you can't exactly pop up elsewhere! It's not like an everyman would travel to Limsa on a whim, or Gridania. Anything that happens to that person immediately makes them a not-exactly-everyman, doubly so if they decide to do something about it.
  13. Villainous ass pulls are a HALLMARK of the series I'll have you know! Garland being the final boss of 1!? The Emperor literally conquering hell and becoming the devil!? ZEROMUS!?!?!?!?!?
  14. Waiting on XIII-3 to be released on Steam and the whole trilogy to be offered under a steam sale for me to get into it. Sure as hell won't be paying full price for the VII remake either. I just heard no Turn Based, too.
  15. And to think people call me crazy for wanting a Mystic Quest remake...
  16. Welp, mine is either Angura (due to the dark red skin color I gave him), Adarkim/Jhungid/Kharlu (because they're the largest), Dotharl (because he's a boisterous bruiser so it'd make sense), Dataq ('cause he's a wanderer!) or Qestir (and he fucked off because he talked too much). Probably gonna be Angura tho.
  17. Got the bi-weekly and I intend to not scrub out so I don't know how much I'll be playing, but yeah. Of course I'll be playing as much as I can otherwise!
  18. It's still pretty useful, just not as zomg powerful as it used to be. It's still the go-to finisher at low-MP levels in Astral 3, you can still do 2x/3xFlare on single target enemies for mad damage (Fire 3 is at 230 Potency, Flare is 260 and I don't believe you'll have Enochian up at all times.) And other classes also got AoE potential in 3.0, SMN specifically.
  19. Aaron lets his most basic self shine through with the obvious joke. BEXY LOOKS DAMN GOOD IN GIF FORM DID YA SEE THAT SIGNATURE?
  20. It probably took a lot of willpower to not make a Savage Might joke. Warren is the grumpy paladin we need and deserve.
  21. Diminishing returns on large damage AoE abilities is standard fare. Hell, casting a spell on everyone in regular FF games usually yields less damage individually.
