2.5 might stir the hornet's nest again though. Yep, Balmung closed as of 8 AM EST I believe.

A Brief PSA on the issue of clogged worlds.

What part? Also I've had a theory that 2.4 might have knocked a few screws loose in the login server, which would explain why maint is the most reliable window. Source : I've seen dumber things happen in Network Performance QA. -
Either that or they kicked the login server and it did something. Still open as of now.

SE doesn't even read their own boards. Support for this game is one of the worst I've experienced throughout all MMOs combined. There are angry people. I'm personally one of them because I think the restriction is outright silly and the workarounds are dubious at best. I am also not a fan of rewarding SE with a character transfer sale for having 1990's toasters running their login server. What you're essentially saying is that nobody should ever be angry and vent that anger about this situation. -
Hell. Yes. This one might look better than the one I have on Kell right now. Might even fit the Phlegeton's Mask better, too.

Thought poachers was kill on sight/capture, and I did MDQ first day of patch so I don't remember much of it. (I love MDQ). And for your second point, it doesn't help that MSQ concentrates on Ul'dah in a very unproportional manner. Other than the lead up to Leviathan and Ramuh, it's pretty much been Ul'dah and its relations to Mor Dhona. Whereas if you never want to level Rogue, you're not gonna see the Bloody Executioners much.

To be fair, those are crimes that'd happen in most cities, except maybe Gridania since they don't have hints of that... at all, which is more disturbing than anything (also rapin' and murderin', I'm fairly sure, would be a crime handled by the Yellowjackets moreso than the dudes of the Dutiful Sisters). Still, I expounded on that whole "fuck Ul'dah" thing and it's primarily because of the MSQ. Typically if your story makes me want to headbutt everything in close vicinity it is not a good way to present your city.
-
"hey remember all that good shit that is exactly what you want that you can't access man that was a good time haha shame you weren't around."
-
Never said they weren't as bad. They, however, do not get the limelight, in both this community and in the game, as Ul'dah does, and likely never will. You'll see me raving and ranting against them once they do. (Also, I'd have mentioned the fact that Limsa is downright responsible for not just one, but TWO primals being summoned, also being the chief cause as to why Titan is even chilling - the Kobolds would not have cared had Limsa not decided to colonize Vylbrand super hard - instead. That they're pirates/rogues is kind of whatever. The split between Wildwood/Duskwight ain't that much better if you ask me so Gridania is kind of also trash. Ul'dah is slightly more merciful than Gridania because they don't have to contend with a malicious force trying to outright kill them if they don't respect their rules - I'll agree with that one. They treat the refugees in the same way - at arms' length and fuck 'em if they die.) Eorzea still got bodied in 1.0 so everyone has to hold that, including the Flames. Largest standing army and they're too incompetent to prevent post-Shiva 2.4 from happening. As I said, I'd have been all for the Flames since they're (were?) the only measure of non-evil competence in the city but they HAD TO TURN THEM INTO THE MOST IDIOTIC FORCE ON THE PLANET just for a few quests and make the Crystal Braves look even more heroic. *pants as rant is over* I hate the MSQ more than I hate Ul'dah, I should say. City's actually pretty cool, but that MSQ is just... ugh. It doesn't help that so far NO ONE in the other two cities is involved in any shenanigans. It would have been a whole lot more easier to swallow if, say, someone close to the Admiral and another Gridanian would be involved in the whole plot. Like, for real, no one wants to say fuck the padjals and fuck the elementals while they're weak? No one of the dissenting factions of Limsa want to tie themselves to Teledji and take over the city? Or is it because SE don't care about not-Ul'dah/Ishgarde?

So, Cwinuwil Fyrfolgsyn. He is or if you're reading this right now and not in the future where I actually grind the levels, a ninja. Who's a Roegadyn. Sea Wolf, too. So with that knowledge, on with the themes.

At this point I'd say it's a waste of money to even sub to this game if you want to RP on Balmung and do not yet have a character on the server. I want new people in. I don't want them to suffer having to get in. SE ain't doing jack shit to solve it. Only open windows are pre-post Maintenance until that too gets locked (I'm expecting either 3.0 or even last portion of 2.5 for that). -
... Welp, my opinion's changed after seeing that obviously OOC gif. Slapping a miqo will always make me change my opinion.

Kellach had finally gotten out of the house, and immediately started worrying about his own safety. That he was even allowed to leave was testament to his own resilience, toughness and perhaps, just perhaps, the lack of malice in the person who'd... captured him. Yes. Axe in tow, mask on, he set on towards Ul'dah. He'd been setting off this guild adhesion for such a long time since he'd grown uneasy surrounding their members, with only a few exceptions not only gaining his trust, but his friendship as well. Yet people who openly flirted with the abyss were not the kind of people he'd want to be. However, his hand was forced due to a very particular encounter which shall not be recounted here, due to its bizarre nature and outright impossibility of the event. Upon counsel by Eamont, and his own personal experiences, he knew he couldn't wait. Perhaps he would be the worst one of the lot - but he needed to know more. He needed to throw himself to the dark, and become one of those he'd come to assume they would always muck things up when it came to it because they loved explosions way too damn much but shunned any sort of open confrontation. He had to learn Thaumaturgy - at least on the theoretical level. Even if he'd never cast a Fire spell in his life, if he knew of the Void, he could more adequately combat it... and the resources of the guild in terms of the written word were massive.

wow MSQ looking like I'm going to be raging a whooooooooole lot more.

DPS queues in general. Have always been trash and will forever be trash until tanking and healing is fun for everyone. Cross-MMOs. * * * PF pls stop making me feel bad about myself that I don't want to subject myself to coil/current content because I'm too much of a coward to actually do it with people I don't know and I suck ass at watching video tutorials (like, legit, tell me how the mechanics work and I'll be fine, but watching a video is booty) -
Not going to happen, it's been surmised that Godbert, even if he doesn't have a seat on the Syndicate, does not actively oppose the Syndicate or at the very least is far less "overarching good" than he appears. He's a person who uses his riches to ease the pain, and not raise others. Which makes him a bit better than your average Monetarist, but it's also likely where the conflict between him and his son occurs (His son likely wanting nothing to do with that aspect of the family tradition, instead concentrating on making the world a better place). That they get on so well is actually the only inspiring thing I can think of the city. This is speculation, obviously. Personally, burn the city down and we're not going to lose anything of value. I used to think "but we'd lose the Flames" but after the ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC way they handled 2.4 I'm like... fuck that city and why couldn't Dalamud fall on it instead of Mor Dhona. Like, legit, I can think of nothing that is remotely redeeming about it, whereas I can at least think of some redeeming values for every other city (except Ishgarde).

Again, to SE they don't give two fucks you can't get on the server you want because the solution, to them, is pick another server. Until all the servers are under primetime lockdown or close to it, they won't do a thing. Which, surprisingly enough, is actually close to happening. Unfortunately, I fear the fix will be establishing the EU Data Center then offering a transfer for all our Euro friends -
Trying to think of other stupid things I've attempted and succeeded at. YOLO crafting but that's not challenging that's just straight up RNG.

Flirting techniques - inspiration and referencing
Kellach Woods replied to C'kayah Polaali's topic in RP Discussion
THE KELLACH WOODS SCHOOL OF NOT FLIRTING BUT TOTALLY DOING IT NONCHALANTLY. Pre-Requisites: Character with at least dark skin if not outright black. Step 1-71 - Run Syrcus Tower until you get Phlegeton's Mask, Loincloth, Gauntlets and Boots Step 72 - Get a Boarskin Harness, dye it Halatali Yellow Step 73 - Stand next to a male miqo'te who's got a compatible sexuality Current Results: Male miqo'te showers you in affection and lots of other things. Confirmed with at least... 5 different ones. It's ridiculous. It's not even funny. Expected Results: Like for real I don't have to do anything wtf yo? Sorry, professional deformation here. * * * At least Sati flirts when I play as her. Granted, her type of flirting is staring at your genitals and then going "HEY UNLESS YER A LALAFELL, THEY'RE AT EYE LEVEL. I'M NOT GETTING A SORE NECK FER YER SCRAWNY ASS, LIKE." Then possibly complimenting them. Then possibly trying to get them to join the Gladiators' Guild so she can help them strip put some oil on for the crowd. -

what do you mean SE can't itemize for shit/has too many useless stats *points to SMNs* I've pretty much stopped doing Experts at this point. "But muh poetics?" who gives a shit I'm not getting into Coil anytime soon and likely as not the same reason keeping me out of Coil will keep me out of WoD until I'm MONTHS BEHIND. -

Don't matter much why it happens at this point. The majority of servers are under lock at primetime. I couldn't believe it - I think maybe... 3 servers had space still. We've one person that this experience (granted they wanted to get into Balmung but still) has negatively affected enough that they've just straight up quit the game before they started. SE needs to fix this. -
FIVE DAYS TO DO SNOWCLOAK AND PUNCH SHIVA IN THE BABYMAKER! O_O FFFFFUUUUU--!! Shiva Hard is pretty fun, but I'd be muting the music if I were you.
