I think I found something. Kellach doesn't believe in the Twelve per se. As in, he's in Eorzea and outright saying "Y'all are crazy" would be utter suicide, especially with his own system of beliefs that some more zealous people would say is primal worship. It's an elemental based system of rites that does not have faces itself, but rather worships the elements as they are. Lightning is just a lightning bolt. Wind is the wind, etc. Lately, he's starting to be a bit more open about his beliefs, but it's something he wanted to discard when he left his homeland, only to find that he still wanted at least some anchor to his homeland if necessary. He's planning on making a journey there to pay his respects to a recently deceased family member and pick up his former book of rites.

Most of the stuff I've been posting on the what are you listening to thread is hip-hop. Just miles away from anything I've seen on this thread.

I'd be very surprised if we got more than 1-2 branches out of this expansion if we get any, and if the system stays remotely the same.

I'm fortunate that for me it might only happen once the entire world map of Hydaelyn is revealed and then my backstory of a farmboy from another continent will hella fall through, and so will the flavor I'm writing for my character. I'm wagering it will be YEARS before this happens - so I'm kinda safe from that.

I don't think they'll do a straight up overhaul - that would be silly and likely to completely screw over the already existing classes. I'd wager that they have their own starter classes in fact. Dark Knights get 2H swords, Samurai get katana. Especially if both are tanks. I wouldn't be surprised if we got job offshoots of different classes that can easily be retrofitted into already existing classes and change their roles. Example : Instead of going Warrior, you could go into a different job and DPS. Kind of like how Arcanist goes into either Scholar or Summoner.

Honestly, I wouldn't either for the exact same reasons you mention (then again, being kidnapped could be considered always being interrupted tho), but this is kind of a special case that has some in-game lore to justify I wouldn't be screwed over on travel time now that I actually have access to it. I have freedom of movement and wouldn't be otherwise interrupted, which is something that Kell didn't have when he first showed up, since he wasn't attuned to it. This is more of a QoL handwave for me than anything else, really.

He voted against helping the Domans. He was the Hyur in the robe with the hood up to disguise himself. I think they want you to intentionally forget he's actually on the Syndicate so you don't hate him in the other questline. He's still an Ul'dah citizen, and according to the MSQ (In the 2.3 setup for 2.4, IIRC) it was pretty much the general citizenry in the first place that was against helping the refugees in the first place anyway. That they even had people vouching for them is actually surprising. Even if we sometimes forget that Raubahn was essentially a gladiator that struck it big.

Yeah, I'm talking about IC use of the spell Return. I've been building up Kell's personal beliefs and experiences, and with the recent (to him) news that his father passed away, I'm planning on him going back home for a bit to fetch a very personal thing, and pay respects to his father with his own beliefs. Therein lies the problem : Kell's home country is on another continent entirely, taking him out of the game for QUITE some time. He's the only character that's involved in plots and other stuffs, so I'd like it if I could not remove him for some time. I still have to eat the trip to the place since his village is so much into the sticks it doesn't have an Aetheryte (also, y'know, this whole thing about another continent doesn't help with that). However, if he could Return to Limsa Lominsa via the spell, I wouldn't feel bad for not switching to another character for so long even if I really should start playing some of my other characters. I really like them but... y'know, this game isn't friendly to alts. So, use of Return IC and one to cross a whole lotta water? Okay or no? Opinions pls.

Actually, nope. If the character's deleted, their name changes to (Deleted) in the blacklist. I have around 74 names and I routinely prune deleted names from it because I know I'll need the space for more. If by that you mean that they stop using the account to spam, then likely as not. I'd rather not take the chance and I've yet to see anyone I'd truly blacklist prior to this. Well, other than that one pug last night.

Y'know, I keep thinking that Otto should always carry an Apache Revolver around. If there's one guy in Eorzea with the chops to craft that, it's him.

I dunno why everyone's giving their opinion on ERP still we had like another thread to do that. Let consenting adults do whatevs, and laugh at the hilarious MTs (though not at the person who made them!), such as an incident last night where someone allegedly MTd futa ERP in a Hunt LS. * * * Kell's thoughts on the subject are, as many would guess, confused. It didn't take him very long to figure out he was pretty much attracted to everything and everyone. Since he wasn't the one to take up the farm, he was pretty much free to do whatever, and that also included choice in partner. The confusion doesn't stem from there, but rather from inexperience and not knowing if that type of thing is accepted or even tolerated in Eorzea. At least, at first, he's since then learned that nobody cares. He's also figured out that if anyone he found attractive were to seduce him, he wouldn't say no. However, he wouldn't actively seduce anyone, instead relying more on his feelings to guide him when with anyone else. If he feels that they should be doin' it, then he'll probably ask, if not then it won't be him that brings it up. Don't mistake him for someone who'd be shocked by PDAs or even lewdness. He's made some lewd comments before, and shows a general understanding of how it works.
