  1. I need this. For reasons. And not because I want the fabulousness meter of Kellach to go up.
  2. I can personally vouch that my RP augmented 200% after joining that group. So did my iLevel but that's neither here nor there <.<
  3. If nothing else (The tavern's gotten so popular that it's kind of hard to get a word in or interact with people running their own thing if they don't know you - that's my personal opinion however and I could be reading people wrong. I can do that in FGs not so much in social interaction), the 'tenders and Faye will be there to greet you warmly and just how you react to them will definitely help you find your voice. I'm watching the thread since I'm kind of having problems settling down and RPin' myself.
  4. Swear to god if I see another "needs must" in the game...
  5. Cool. In that case, Kellach just considers them as part of the experience of exploring Eorzea. He feels a sort of kinship with Althyk because he doesn't see how a god of space and change would wield a mythril greataxe, mirroring his own background a bit.
  6. Just a question, are the Twelve considered the world religion or just Eorzea? This is kind of important.
  7. Limsa's biggest problem is that they have to contend with TWO primals. Not just one. Sure, the same can be said of Gridania somewhat, but while Ramuh is powerful, he's not the kind to start a war against people. He'd rather just have the Sylphs protect their territory and that's it. Hell, Ramuh could be used as an asset by feeding false intelligence to their opponents and have them go through the East Shroud and whoops here's a bunch of tempered Sylphs and Ramuh this was a horrible idea. Whereas for Limsa it's a war against Leviathan and Titan. Neither of them can be reasoned with. Titan wants justice for his people (because let's not forget Limsa's on stolen soil) and Leviathan's just a dick. I still think Limsa has the best chance mostly due to the Arcanists' guild and the likely spreading of the Scholars' teachings (who, IIRC, were essentially war strategists anyway) but if they can't contain the Primals they could easily still lose.
  8. I'll throw mine in then. smooth.operator.hatman
  9. "HARD AS IRON, YOUR BLADES ARE USELESS." That's why it's a pugilist quest. You need to give him a hand.
  10. The more I read this thread, I think it's less about who wins but rather who loses. All three nations are capable of winning. It all depends on how much dumbassery their opponents have. Although I really think that Ul'dah rejecting the refugees rather than enroll them in a foreign legion to use as cannon fodder is the worst idea they could have.
  11. Kellach got an 11. I'm pretty sure my other characters would get higher, but not by much.
  12. ...think I FINALLY found a good theme for Kellach which actually captures most of what he is. Plus, old school Square-Enix track cover so you can't go wrong. AeB5qIpYnmM And bonus alternate track for Aurimont, the day I actually decide to play as him. FnNQhSoFx6Q
  13. if someone called my characters a mary sue I'd lol pretty hard actually.:cactuar: I'd go "Damn... you found me out." Mary Sue McBeef sounds like a pretty badass name, not gonna lie.
  14. if someone called my characters a mary sue I'd lol pretty hard actually.:cactuar:
  15. Got booted out last night and I was getting a really bad connection right before that happened. Keep in mind, a ping check places my ping to the data center at 25.
  16. Kellach He's been on a journey of constant self-discovery in Eorzea ever since he stepped off the boat, and it's hard for him to consider the differences in genders mostly because he hadn't had much contact with women outside of his farming village. Sure, the women handled the cooking, but if you've ever lifted a pot of soup for a village potluck of more than a 100 people you know women are strong. Even when it came to protection, he's pretty sure his mother would ask for his axe so she could protect him. People keep calling him girly and effeminate, so that makes things even more confusing 'cause he's obviously a guy. In short, he's still way too confused by feelings to even take gender into account, and will sit on your lap no matter what your gender is.
  17. Just the Hand/Land disciplines should take a lifetime to master one, normally.
  18. The whole point of the system is essentially to reduce the need for alts. Which is cool on a gameplay aspect. If you want to play that you've done all that and are thus a master of everything? I'm not obliged to like it. I'm not obliged to play with you. I'm not obliged to even acknowledge it. For example, I personally plan on having Kellach max out both SCH/SMN in addition to WAR. Mostly because his story has him going to Limsa to become an Arcanist and be distracted by a bunch of Yellowjackets that encouraged him to join up with the Marauders instead. So he took the long way there. Obviously, to be efficient at these three roles, you need skills from outside the scope of the character. I just ignore that for the sake of RP. I have canon classes and fanon classes
  19. Isn't there a lore entry somewhere that mentions having the Nunh last name doesn't mean that you actually are a Nunh? I remember reading that. Might be in the mi'qo naming conventions posts even.
  20. From various parts of the MSQ, you get bits and pieces that the Grand Companies were busy trying to rebuild and deal with domestic problems during these 5 years, without really banding together, thinking that the Garlean threat wouldn't attack this soon after what had just happened.
  21. YOU WILL REGRET THIS INDEED! Pink is like, my in-game nickname
  22. Hello from Vylbrand! Sorry I took so long writing mum, it's a very nice place here. I didn't expect much to fit in because I'm not really a seafaring person but so far I've found my place within the Marauders' Guild. It's been three months since I've joined the guild and I'm starting to learn a lot more than I thought I would. Maybe the Arcanists have a lot of smarts but that doesn't mean there's nothing to learn swinging an axe! Oh, speaking of that... you can finally feel proud! I've gotten my leave to join other guilds from the Axemaster, and I've signed up for classes at the Arcanists' guild! So far, it's really hard. Even the basic teachings that the wandering bard gave us were nowhere close to the level of knowledge necessary to become an Arcanist. I still have a long way to go before I can start explaining the various mystical theorems and even further before I can do any competent accounting! Other than that, I've met some nice people here, and I'm starting to think about traveling inland onto the actual continent. Maybe I'll write my next letter from Ul'dah? In any case, I have a lot of studying, practicing and work as well. I've started hiring myself out to the local farmers in La Noscea because they need all the help they can get, but most of the work is for the pirates who give up piracy and need to start growing their own food so there's not much for me out there. Maybe I should seek out an apprenticeship at the forge? What do you think, mother? In any case, I'll keep writing to you as soon as more exciting things happen! Hopefully soon! Your son, Kellach.
