  1. So my friend just built the entire bard Shikaree set for a client. Hgngnng, I want more costumes now. ;A; Edit: Picture wouldn't work, so I plucked it out, but STILL I WANT THAT THING SO BAD.
  2. Dear Phoenix, One of m'brother's chocobos has bloated to th'size of a Goobue and is just as round. I've been tasked with helpin' Big Bo lose weight. Th'tried and tested 'Green-on-a-Stick" method isn't really workin' out like I hoped. What should I do? The Pinkest Bard
  3. I wasn't really interested because the first few weeks, I kept walking away empty-handed. It's getting harder and harder to tank with my derp Zenith though, so I absolutely need to get the oils/sands/tome to get back in the swing of things.
  4. I kinda wish they just took the inn rooms (FFXI moghouse style), let us decorate them, and gave us flower pots for gardening in them.
  5. I am basically going to live in ST for the next few weeks. :V
  6. Honestly, I would have rather they just said they couldn't implement it due to lack of server resources and would chalk it up to something they would try to get done when they had what they needed to get it right.
  7. What really doesn't help is that even if all of us theoretically had the gil to buy the houses, there are only so many houses per ward. Even if they opened 20 wards, there still wouldn't be enough houses for everyone in a server. That means a good chunk of the server will literally never be able to get a house. To make personal housing work, they'd have to revamp and go with an entirely different system.
  8. Based upon SE's track record with this sort of thing, I honestly have zero hope for them properly implementing personal housing in the future. I'm going to just cross my fingers cross my fingers for the tiny FFXI-style flower pots so we can stick'em in our inn rooms or our personal chambers. Half my reason for wanting my own house was so I could have my own gardening plot instead of staring creepily longingly at my FC's gardening plot. I guess I was upset initially was because my current situation doesn't afford me a whole lot of time to play the game. My limited playtime kind of locks me out of doing endgame, getting Animus (I don't have the time to grind for hours to get atma), or do much of anything. I haven't even managed to beat Story-mode Ramuh yet. Housing was one of the few things I was looking forward to because I thought I could save up the gil for it and decorate/garden/derp around with it at my own pace. I guess I'll probably feel better once my work schedule is less of a clusterfuck and I can do more with the game. On a totally different note: I'm going to log in and hug as many Roe-ankles with my lalafell as possible.
  9. I am unimaginably bummed out and disappointed about personal housing just being FC housing except for one person. I feel like they just threw up their hands and gave up trying to implement it properly, so they just tacked on a personal option for Fc housing wards and called it a day. Small houses vanish insanely fast, so it just feels like I will never get a house for my character.
  10. ...what's wrong with that ._.;; That pull did not end well. I'm usually okay with the first entire room of Bray getting pulled as long as: 1) I get a quick heads up. 2) Tank is actually geared enough to pull the entire first room in Bray. 3) I'm not wearing a bunch of spiritbond gear. (Which is why I like the quick heads up. :V)
  11. I'm just going to voice my support for macro'ing the crap out of your fairy. I have pretty much everything I do linked with a fairy ability. If you haven't gotten Stoneskin or Swiftcast yet, I would definitely get them. Swiftcast is a lot higher on your list of cross-class priorities than Stoneskin (so that you can swiftcast raise folks!), but they're both excellent.
  12. These are neat! I also like how iconic Osric's beard is. :B
  13. I have no idea how to do the thumbnail thing, but the forums do autosize stuff if they get too wide. Also you can do a spoiler just by writing
  14. The tiny cat faced censor bar on your colored piece made me cackle. Also, I am a sucker for scars. :V
  15. Dropped off two-weeks notice today. I start voraciously going through the list in October. :V
  16. Vallon's drink list for his "Pass the Drink" game. There are a bunch of dice-rolls associated with each drink, but none of them really make sense without knowing the rest of the game, which is in another document.
  17. Tiergan Vashir Tiergan dislikes being touched. Especially if it is unexpected. He tolerates it while among friends and loved ones, but with sometimes noticeable discomfort. Approaching to touch him from behind, even if just to give him a hug or a pat on the back, is not advised. Tiergan is a little claustrophobic. He hates being in tight, cramped spaces, particularly if there are not many exits. He has difficulty looking someone in the eye when uncomfortable or distressed (unless that someone also infuriated him). He will either look away or close his eyes. A strike to his back, if hard enough, can be enough to trigger violence. Most attempts to draw him into a romantic relationship generally end with extreme discomfort, aggression, or even outright panic depending on the person. Lurial Vashir Tends to speak in a slightly refined manner, often eliminating the use of contractions. She tends not to call people by only their first name unless requested. Instead she will refer to them by Lady or Ser [insert last name here.] Exceptions to this are family, close friends, or people she favors. Leilani Leilai Leilani has a lucky hat that she considers the source of most of her good fortune. She will sometimes give the hat to loved ones who are about to enter a dangerous situation both as a way to protect them and as a way to ensure they come back when the worst is over. They have to return her hat after all. She's only loaning it! She feels that a bard isn't truly a bard unless they have a good hat. Leilani has a habit of talking in a rapid stream of words when extremely excited. If she detects even the slightest hint of an awesome story, Leilani will incessantly question her poor victim someone until she has every last detail. She may or may not embellish the tale. She not so secretly admires Elezen and Roegadyn for their strength and stature. Furious Storm Due to having his tongue cut out several years ago, Fury communicates entirely through a pad of parchment and a stick of charcoal. He tends to write ENTIRELY IN BLOCK PRINT because he thinks it is easier to read. However, he will stop if requested and write normally. He sometimes couples his words with crudely drawn pictures, smilie faces, or very enthusiastic arm and hand gestures. He has a soft spot for anyone significantly tinier than he is.
  18. Vallon Jennessy literally invented an IC drinking game complete with FFXIV drinks. I should get him to post up the drinks list.
  19. Brace yourself for the very likely possibility that this is exactly how they've done it. Sadly, I think Osric's right. I remember Yoshi mentioning that they don't really have a way for our characters to actually hug one another, but hug emotes would at least give the impression of a hug. Yvelont is hammering sharp ridges into his armor. It'd still be worth it. So, so worth it. I demand pictures of the hugs. For science.
  20. The good news is that I might wind up just quitting my retail gig, because it's actually getting in the way of some of my bigger freelance projects. If that happens, I'll probably devour over half that list in a few weeks. <.<
  21. Yesss. I am pleased I decided to create this thread.
