  1. Her boots dragged themselves against the currents of a river while a soft sigh managed to slip between her lips. Her ears gently flutter as the ceaseless sound of the crickets and stream drowned any other noise. She was in the Shroud, midnight, time when predators went after their prey and where prey scurries about, either in search of a hideout or in a nocturnal meal hunt of their own. Yet, none of that concerned or mattered to her. An adventurer she was, able to defend herself from anything that lurked in the shadows cast by the woods. Feet staunchly pressing forward against the opposition of the tide, Leanne was left to think. As the impending sun of her departure drew nearer, more thoughts invaded the young seeker's mind. Thoughts of her friends, people she loved so dearly, people that one sun, she will be forced to say goodbye...thoughts of Markus, her confidant and right hand man, a kind and hard-working individual with one too many problems finding his doorsteps. Her family, that was always within her reach, wouldn't be anymore. Chachanji. Oh so much she tortured herself over the thought, the bad timing of him being left by his girlfriend a little before her own travel. She didn't want to have he who was akin to a young brother become even more crestfallen. Yet inevitably, sometime she will have to say those dreaded words, the words that she spoke already to many she trusted: "I'm going away." She repeats unconsciously, ears lowering as sadness and longing settled into her heart. Stopping in her steps, she looks to the clear skies, a thousand stars forming more than a thousand jewels to the beautiful moon that was set. More anguishing than all that is the recently forged craving that was instilled within her. To find someone she could correlate with...a person that she could give her love to, not the platonic love she ready and willing to give to one and all...something beyond. She bites her lower lip, forcing herself back on track. So selfish was she, wanting to find someone analogous to a lover a moon away from her departure to northern lands. She knew best, to try would not only bring pain to herself, but also to the person she'd find...if she were ever to find. Her heart was picky, forever a foil to desires of the romantic kind, dashing away not the hopes of past and current love prospects but now also thwarting her own wishes... ...And once more there was her future travel, looming close, dangling from every reflection. She stops again, bringing a hand to her heart. So selfish she was, to crave for something herself made it hard to find...not that it stopped her though. Of wanting to have and give love...
  2. "Leanne, your shirt is open!" "Leanne, your bra is showing." "Leanne, why you walk around with -these- things in the open?" Edit: An extra one... "It -is- a very fancy hat!"
  3. Leanne loves -everyone-! In a platonic manner... Recently though, she has being questioning herself...why only in a platonic manner? Why not romantic love? What's missing? :cry:
  4. My RP tends towards Validation and Challenge, but also has a few times where undermining settles in. Leanne is inherently hopeful/idealist, and tries to do what she feels is right. As an adventurer being thrust into a sometimes backstabbing, unfair and brutal world, she tries to marry her beliefs with the necessities that this life imposes, such as killing, sometimes disregard the law, fight friends, defend her opinion, and would you know what else. She forces herself at times to be realist, but never loses sight of the the romanticism and idealism that made her choose the life of adventuring, clinging to it with every fiber of her will.
  5. Clio, watcha doing here. You don't take baths here. Nu.
  6. Yup. And as such, they're rather willing to be assholes to outsiders and people the elementals deems not welcome. But it is not assholishness for beneficial gains. It is assholishness because there's a potential guillotine for every single person in the Shroud if the elementals decided to flip their shit. ...Which doesn't excuse the fact they're being assholes, anyway.
  7. Mm, more than a little disingenuous for anyone who's paid attention to the lore to try to say this with a straight face. The grey areas are less pronounced, less in your face in Gridania, perhaps, but they're absolutely on display front and center in Limsa. It is a snipe, yeah. It's just tiresome to hear the "lol Ul'dah sux" thing because it's put right in your face when all of them are shitty. A Gridanian conjurer refuses to heal a 12 y/o girl because "the Elementals said so". Ishgard is terrible to live in if you're not a noble, and it is clear in 3.0 it will be possibly revealed to be the case they are not so innocent with the Dragonsong War. Meanwhile, Limsa Lominsa is made of pirates...actual historical pirates who rape and pillage and all that. So I don't know what on earth people are talking about when they do the 'Ul'dah sux' thing. Yes, we know. The story is all about that right now. I'd say this is simply product of the current state of affairs. No other nation besides Ul'dah has shown their guts so deeply yet, or has been as 'villainized'. For all we've -seen-, Gridania and Limsa Lominsa have their quirks, but they also have fairly stabilized government bodies and nations, whose problems comes more often from the outside than the inside. Ul'dah now...has shown to have a deeply corrupted 'police' body that would be the blades (police being used very very loosely), a nation divided between two starkly different sides and a system that was supposed to lift those who deserves it up the ladder is also being abused by those already rich to keep themselves up there while pushing down some of those still climbing up. Yes, that happens too in real life, it doesn't make it any less ugly. The 'evil' side (to have a mentality of a monetarist isn't evil, problem is, seems like the monetarists are mostly filled with scumbags) also bought what was to be the Eorzea's salvation army (The Crystal Braves), incapacitated the two more influential royalists(Raubahn and Sultana herself) and then chased away the Scions and the Warrior of Light, the ones that tend to clean up everyone's messy mess. My point is...does Gridania and Limsa have ugly sides? Absolutely, perhaps some we couldn't even have seen yet. But no ugly side has been explored and 'uglified' more than Ul'dah's so far. So the current hate Ul'dah is getting, if anything, is mostly fair.
  8. Because Asshole is a statement that is different for everyone. Not in this context. The policy guidelines are very clear. Yes, which means that a user would be guilty of 'violating a policy' not 'being an asshole' We don't want to keep people around who are assholes, but again, I think some level of dissension is ok in an internet forum. Breaking the rules does not mean being an asshole. Again to bring up something awful. People will do bannable offences on occasion, just to make a point. However you can register again for 10 dollars, as it is not permanent. I just think it's harsh line to equate "Breaking internet forum rules, possibly in good faith" with "Being an asshole." My opinion is the opposite. Because if anything, -I- as a person feel that what some people need to do at the moment, is temper their own words. We'd not be in this situation if it weren't for the rampant snarkyness and aggressive behavior that has overtaken the RPC. As I told back in another thread, it shouldn't be the job of the moderation to police us. It'd be our own job to police ourselves and our words, the moderation being ultimately some sort of last resort. Unfortunately, it became the case where action of the moderation became necessary. It is a thing we as whole brought on ourselves and now we must reap the consequences. And likewise, if someone has been skirting the boundaries, being borderline disruptive and get a warning for it, they need to face it and tell themselves: Well, perhaps I messed up! Or continue with their behavior and risk a ban. Anyhow, that's my two cents. As always, free to disagree with me. EDIT: As an extra thing I'd like to say, to disagree and have a different opinion is fine. To disagree for the hell of it is sort of a no no.
  9. Happy characters with almost boundless good will and energy. Too much seriousness, people must be haappeeeeh! Or goofballs. I love making things weird, silly and funny...!
  10. Leanne will be all over them. Leanne was already nagging on doman people out of curiosity for their culture, lands and what not. Leanne can now nag on an entire different race that she had never seen in her travels, only heard and read of?! Oooooh boy.
  11. I'm requesting a drawing of one of Leanne's companions, her puppy, Kyrin, also known as Little Bandit! He used around Leanne very frequently, but his participation in her adventures lowered steadily, for the amount of danger the girl puts herself in ;-;
  12. THIS WEEKEND....SHE WILL BE BACK... HER OBJECTIVE, A SINGLE ONE....TO DELIVER LETTERS... ... Jesus Christ Leanne, stop playing Triple Triad! Leanne: "Shush! I need my lightning card! You stay there and wait, I will be back as soon as I get it!"
  13. EDIT: Okay, someone already stole the joke I wanted to do! xP Gonna be realistic. Leanne making eggs: Not Quantum Physics.
  14. Nuuu, I'm not evil ;-; Grindstone means nuthin!
  15. Meee too. A drawing of meeee. Silly drawings best drawings!
  16. While there might be still one or another people that can be distrustful of keepers, the discrimination against them is an outdated thing, most of the vitriolic/xenophobic hate being turned toward the duskwights. If you are to notice, a lot of wailers and quivers are actually keepers, a thing that implies to me this hate is pretty much gone, remaining only in those that suffered really bad things from the poachers, or people stuck in the past. EDIT: As to add an extra point to my words, the postmoogle quests show the story of a keeper that is captain of an 'elite' quivers group. I think that'd be another hint that keepers are now a pretty much accepted race in the Gridanian community!
