Leanne replied to Telluride's topic in Chronicled Events
Participating, as aaalways! -
Recently, Leanne has reached this conclusion about romantic relationships in general. Very simple.

I'm iiiin. (If allowed!)

Well, Leanne's out to meet with this Goreface too! Maybe she will send him back to the void by being nice? >.> (prolly not)

(Written with...~) 3gOd_WoKdPU It was late evening. But to her, the sun was soon to rise. Within the comfort of warm bed sheets she were. And yet, to her all that she felt was the cool breeze of Abalathia's winds. A silky, light, loose nightgown. Traded for a white, form fitting vest. Bare legs and hands, then finding themselves protected by boots, pants and gloves. Instead of a mattress against her back, there was instead a bow and quiver, backing up her adventuring fashion. She puts a hand against her head. A leather beret made itself known. Leanne smiles. She looks around. Another island above the clouds. Strange animals, alien like fauna, an apparently infinite road stretching towards infinity. Another playground for her to have fun in. Another... Adventure. "Thine imagination, once more at work, Skysinger." A booming voice echoes above. An elder dragon flying through the skies. Big, old, powerful. A friend. A mentor. Her savior. "Do you like it, Reinhardt?" She asks, golden hues seeking after the elder creature, legs starting her march forward. Forever after the ever distant horizon, her mantra. "It is analogous of thine aspirations. And bright. Very, so." He looks upwards towards the sun. Within this inner realm, it appeared as especially radiant. Although she couldn't see, Leanne felt a faint appreciating aura coming from her interlocutor. Her steps began to become quicker. The red haired seeker started her run. Chasing after that light, relentlessly, passionately! That ever distant horizon. So full of warmth, a giant beacon of light. Suddenly, the road comes to an end, as so did that island. Leanne peers down. Only clouds greeted her visage. She smiled. And then jumped. Plummeting into the white, the girl couldn't help but spread her arms. "Until my very last breath, I shall go forward..." She sighs contently as the wind brushes away at her form. "...And forward you shall go." Reinhardt declares at the very end, as he catches Leanne midst her fall, having her land on his back. He and her rises above, cutting a line through the white. And after the sun they go after...

RP Discussion: Dimensional Hopping and You
Leanne replied to Warren Castille's topic in RP Discussion
It's world changing to most, indeed. That's why as Marti said, denial and pass a dimension hopper off as looney are legitimate answers. If someone in real life just hopped through a portal saying that they come from the future/past/alternate universe, my world would shatter in one mili second. Now, to people who see weirdness on an almost constant basis? They will not be wholly shocked. They will give it the benefit of doubt too, in case. Instead of Leanne, let's...call a character named Adventurer McDonaldson. His life is a parade of daily weird crap. As a baby, he crossed through a void gate because their parents were cultists. As a child, he saw the summoning of Leviathan because one of those void gate landed him exactly on the spot where the thing was happening. As a teenager, he sees a fisher ICly landing a create named the Nepto Dragon using only a fishing rod. As an adult, he finds our mysterious traveler, Dimension Bunny Hooper. Will he be shocked? Or just treat it as another weird occurance in his already weird life? Yes, the examples are ludicrous, but that's one of the major points. There are several cases of the extraordinary happening, not only from in-game events, but from other players too, which sometimes manages to fall within the purview of lorewise possible, but still extraordinary feats. And for those that have seen it, a dimension traveler will be just another weird thing in a world that is already very, very weird. That's my opinion, at the very least. -
[NSFW] RP Discussion: Bad words said IC, for it or against it?
Leanne replied to Avira's topic in RP Discussion
This is rather interesting, and a point I actually use ICly with Leanne, not only for cursing, but for other modern words. We must remember, we create words to convey something. A rather infamous example, the word selfie, a rather recent addition to our dictionary, created to convey the meaning: A silly photo of someone making a duck face x3 Leanne is traveler, and as such, she hears a ton of different words and slangs being thrown here and there, some she never heard, sometimes adopting them because...hey, it conveys something! Perhaps doing such, others shall also adopt the word. And so others shall adopt from those who adopted from Leanne. And so it goes, and it goes... -
RP Discussion: Dimensional Hopping and You
Leanne replied to Warren Castille's topic in RP Discussion
Squall isn't white-haired. :3 Maybe he want's to be Squall's and Ultimecia's love baby from a crack-pairing that they've devoted years of sordid fanfictions to. Squall is just a Zack cosplayer. Anyway back on topic! Is it potentially strange? Sure. But you know what? To people who don't RP all of us are strange with our weird pretendy funtimes that often at BEST carry a slight connection to the ongoings in the game. That said, in my opinion it goes back to the ever popular quote: "The devil's in the details." I look at these sorts of things as I debate getting involved with dimension travel or even anything in general that falls on the 'far' end of the 'usual' spectrum. -Can you sell me on it OOC? GTFO with your super saiyan character from the Sega dimension who's also the reigning King of the Iron Fist tournament champion. -Can you show me, someone who is relatively well learned (thanks to the University of Sounsyy & Co.) on lore and generally likes looking at said lore that it's plausible? I mean hell, let's not forget how many people STILL say there's no Duskwight in Ishgard yet that's my main. -Can you pitch it to my character? So many people seem to forget, disbelief is a LEGITIMATE response. That's not offensive, it's not a slight against the writer. Eorzea is a weird and dangerous place, despite the happy sunshine filled pixels that coat the game if you really look into it. Strange shit happens all the time, but that doesn't mean the actual character has to buy it. To me, it's a textbook case of (for all the those tabletop gamers out there) quirks like "weirdness magnet" also known as BEING A PC. See the Classic Marvel Forever system's definition here. -And lastly, is it just a throwaway gimmick character that's going to be around for a month at best or is it something you plan to stick with? Well why's that matter? Simple. Just like a character doesn't have to believe it, the more (for me at least) a character interacts with and learns and is just around them, the more they're at least willing to give it a 'well, maybe you're a little less but still kinda craaaaazy'. If it's just a flash in the pan and the character is gone? They'll be chalked up as -actually- crazy and that's that. If you can pass that checklist? Sure, bring on the RPs. My body is ready. That. So that. Being the awfully liberal little me, this sentence resumes my thought process: Why not? I mean, as stated, our characters live in a world where happened a few bits of dimension hopping, where a civilization was advanced enough to enslave pseudo gods (that are created through the sheer power of prayer/desire/need) and create a second moon. A sorcerer managed to sent a group of adventurers 5 years forward into time before turning into a bird to punch the giant pseudo god through the chest. The later examples are mostly to show other examples of minor absurdity. Anyway, with all that happening, why can't there be a transdimensional traveler? Because it is snowflakey? Because that would mean they'd be more special than other characters? To me, I find that very subjective, depending a lot on how the roleplayer goes about it. As long as the roleplayer knows that they will be treated by most like a cloud cuckoolander, with perhaps odd mannerisms, know that the character might have a hard time fitting not only because of others, but because of the cultural clash and the hardships of adapting to a world that is not their own, among several other hardships that happen if the dimension hopping is unwilling... Why not? Leanne is an adventurer, and in two years she saw so much weird stuff in the road, that in the end of the day, she will say: "...Wonder if they're saying the truth..." -
Would love to draw FFXIV roleplayers! ( art pickup!)
Leanne replied to Noir's topic in Artisan House
Beautiful art! And an offer to potentially draw my silly adventure cat? Count me in! -
Not much to say, since I wasn't directed affected by this catastrophe. This gesture though, while little, is very heartwarming. +1 for the Balmung community. My condolences to those of, or with relatives/friends in Paris.

Celebration of the First Snows - November 22

As Leanne herself said, count her in! -
I would love to go to the Sylphlands one...yet Leanne would certainly try to mend things. Hmm, still, I will keep myself on the reserve lines for the Sylphlands thing.

The walls of the Carline Canopy once more began to suffer from a rampant poster tearing, albeit this time way more vicious by the looks of the scrapped paper still glued to the wall, and this time not from several patrons, but from one diminutive seeker that kept taking them off one after another. "Dear, are you alright?" Lady Miounne asks the fuming miqo'te sat by a table, in process of tearing the poster into shreds. "Nay. I'm not al-" Leanne stops every single action of hers as she sees another man gluing -another- poster. With an almost comical crestfallen expression, she slams her head on the table, whimpering. Miounne sighed and quietly comforted the poor girl. From Leanne, came out a continuous mantra. "WhydidntIsaynowhydidntIsaynowhy..."

This would be Leanne's deck! Warrior of Light Matoya Good King Moogle Mog XIII Griffin Urianger As for why the choices? Warrior of Light: The admiration Leanne has for the Warrior of Light is so big, you could pass off for a girl crushing for his idol. And perhaps it is that way! The very few times Leanne had the chance to see the individual themselves filled her with a deep desire to do her 110%, in hopes of maybe being noticed... Matoya: Leanne's current matron, she'd pick the card out of respect for the woman who now takes care of her during this period of her life, who accepted to help Leanne in a very, very important task... Good King Moogle Mog XIII: Friend of moogles she is, having a card of their king she shall have! If it is worth how bothersome they can get about it, is an entirely different debate. Griffin: A beast that she finds fascinating, she rode one once during a risking dare midst her adventures in the north. She aches to ride another again, albeit on more friendly terms... Urianger: Leanne's a fan of elaborate prose. Urianger does not only have that, but he is quite wise and knowledgeable about several subjects, inspiring Leanne's curiosity.

Correction, girls of DD and a fancy lass with a hat!

Gah, I'm a big fan of Halo, so it makes me extra sad I can't play Halo 5... Anyway! I took a glance at the story, and more importantly, at the end. My opinion is...

As everyone stated, the childish aspect is just a stereotype mainly created by the players, since the majority of the lalafells shown in MSQ tend to be some scary/creepy peeps. My character treats them respectfully, but is not over showering them with hugs and pettings, cause, cause...well, they're adorable and some of them let her do it! (even the overly serious ones) '-' Although, indeed, want to be taken more seriously? Grow a mustache. It is surekill. Heck, grow some form of facial hair. Even you ladies. Yes, talking to you Virara.

*Lesser Panda drops.* *Tank claims that is certainly his.* *He rolls 95. I roll 99.* Deal with it.

While my views of soulstones are pretty much those(similar to the magic circuits of the nasuverse), I treat Leanne's bard soul gem slightly differently(because I'm a crappy snowflake), in that not only it is a 'manual' that speeds up her learning, it also reflects her state of affairs or how strong she is(or for those sappy as I am, her heart/mind/whatevs suits your fancy). Given as she is, right now it is a rather shiny stone, reflecting her usual disposition and how bright she tends to be. Just another method of saying that part of her soul is now imprinted into the stone, connecting her to it.

Leanne's cutest witch!
