Starting this thread as a little research for a future plot I'm thinking of holding! Here is the question. We all know about Halone, also known as the Fury, being the mover of glaciers, and goddess of war, also patron deity of Ishgard. But how does your character envision her? What other attributes they can see or idealize with Halone? Do they see or imagine any flaws in the goddess? What or who is Halone for your character?

Suppose For Riches is good enough for Leanne, lawl.

Leanne's guilty pleasure? The major one? -Sweets-. There's hardly a single day she goes by without having any amount of sugary intake. When going on a eating binge, she can devour plates and more plates of confections in a span of an hour. Now, the secret one she makes sure no one knows because such fact would indeed embarrass her to death? Sex. YUP. She enjoys sex quite a lot. But try to get her to admit. Never happening.

But the Fearful, as Leanne

Super simple question that I stole from a thread I wrote in years past! Basically, how does your character generally moves during a fight? Using Leanne as an example: If I had to resume Leanne's way of fighting, I would do so with two words, those being adaptation and opportunism. Although she is able to stick to a plan when necessary, most of the times she acts on the fly, improvising as the situation goes. Also her growth as an archer alongside her mischievous nature taught her to being highly opportunistic, not being over using cheap/dirty tricks and tactics if that means getting and edge or end the fight right there. Even though her specialty is around attacking from a safe range(she's a ranged fighter, duh!), moons of fighting in the Grindstone taught her into a manner of close quarters combat even while holding a bow, possibly surprising those unaware of such fact. Further helping such is the presence of her ever trustworthy dagger, and her self-taught/mimicked pugilism moves. Not being of a particularly strong constitution, but being quite acrobatic, blows coming towards her tends to be evaded or redirected. If fighting without weapons, kicks tends to be her preferred method of assault, given the leg strength she contains, plus her already mentioned acrobatic skills.

Girl with fancy hat yells about adventure, threatening public peace. I mean...it could happen. >_>
-
As the girl herself says... "I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good." Aka, Leanne's so into this x3

I know I said that several times by now, but...super duper awesome! Thank you Rhea for being awesome! ♥

Life is Precious. One of Leanne's sayings, as for anything. Leanne's hardened about the idea of killing others, but she always preaches it as the very last solution, if all others came and went, and always taking such as a tragedy, regardless of circumstances, for the loss of life, regardless of being or individual is exactly that to her, a sad occurrence. And as of late, Leanne began to grow increasingly impatient and weary of people that hold violence as their first approach, or glorifies and revels in the act of killing, losing a friendship or two over such matter. But yes, indeed, sometimes, Leanne does not show much of a outward reaction besides maybe a little frown or disapproval. Not that she disregards the death, but at the same time, outside circumstances will not let her mind linger on it for too long. Also it is worthy of saying, despite everything that I stated, I rarely believe any characters to be pure saints. Leanne may hold life as a very precious thing, but she also held and holds her share of grudges, sometimes down to murderous thoughts. She is a person with flaws and with the skills to kill people if she ever desires to do so, after all.

Leanne's favorite film? Hard to pick. Given how fan of the arts she'd be, with aversion only to love, horror and stories that glorifies violence (cough cough Tarantino), hard to pinpoint one. Hmm...maybe...The Hobbit. Because of a single, word. AAAAAAADVEEEENTUREEEEEE-

I do not have any, but if I had to imagine one for Leanne casting Sagittarius Arrow... "Observe closely, as I perform for thee the most glorious grand finale!!" "Finishing strike..." "Sagittarius Arrow!!" No I didn't rip off from Valkyrie Profile shut up.

Abiding in death as Leanne.

Mmmm... Singing Seeker! Generous Gridanian! Adventurous Archer! Talented Traveler! Mmmm... Behaved Bard. Mischievous Ministrel. Sensitive Singer. And so it gooes. For a three word one. Active Affectionate Adventurer.

To be fair, having a one night stand with Thancred isn't very exclusive based on how they show him in 2.0 That's about as exclusive at being at the steps of faith, or the battle of Cartenau. He gets around. Truth. Thancred is the resident casanova. Aymeric far better husbando no one touches him he's mine.

I don't really see this argument as altogether conducive. Yeah, it's something people can do, but should they? You could say "you make that choice" to pretty much anything to justify it, but it doesn't make it necessarily justifiable. Yeah, you could RP your character in XIV shooting kamehameha-like chi beams and doing limit breaks because, hey, it's in the game. But should you? Last I recall someone using an IC limit break, they got laughed at. This same argument should, then, be applied to them. I personally do not like the word "should" being used in this context, to be honest. Feels like we're assigning strict rules to how one should RP, when in reality, it is not like that. People can make their characters shooting elixir fields left and right, people can make their characters pull a limit break out of their asses. It is -your- job to accept it or not. Like it is their job to simply accept that you don't conform to their RP. Your freedom ends where others begins. One crowd may have laughed at someone using an IC limit break. Another crowd would perhaps accept it. Whose of the two are more correct? Personally, I would say the ones who accepted it, because at least they didn't make a mockery of the individual. Of course, as I stated in the previous post, one should be sensible when pulling things like that, of preference within a group they know and trust. So they should, in case they want? Yes. What they can't is expect everyone to accept it. Did you ever have that friend who just made up lies and bullshit? His dad worked at Nintendo so he already had Pokemon Purple, and he had a PS2 when they got announced but it was at his uncle's house so you couldn't play it, but man, it's awesome? Nobody likes that friend. Even as an adult, when someone's constantly talking about the crazy party they totally went to or all the hot people they definitely slept with, and no, they're not on Facebook and I didn't take pictures or anything, but trust me, it totally was real and not at all made up, that shit gets annoying. People who are confusing famous identities for interesting characters are, for a lot of people, the RP equivalent to that person. "I'm besties with Raubahn, and I have my own army of police to protect me." "Should" is the watchword, and it isn't trying to enforce hard world rules on anyone: It's just prudence so we don't get bitch threads about why no one wants to RP with their quadrupal-souled older brother to Merlwyb who is a secret because they're also a werewolf/vampire/angel hybrid. No one ever said "don't do this" but a lot of people are aware how that thing usually goes over. Pretty much exactly what Warren said. I don't want to police anyone, to each their own. But there's only so many times I can hear about so-and-so having drinks with Merlwyb while also hanging out with others while everyone else is claiming to be dating X NPC. Do you know how many people RP themselves dating popular NPCs? They don't generally go around the public RP community because I think a part of them realizes it wouldn't be accepted and wouldn't happen. I know one NPC in particular that I've seen no less than six girls claiming to simultaneously date him. IC. Val would be jealous. And it's because of that that people need to keep in mind when trying to claim these popular things. Ultimately, somewhere, the world is going to break by people putting themselves in the place of/involved with/around popular NPCs. Stories are going to conflict. How many people are claiming to have killed primals in their backstories? Separately? Those things must be summoned on a daily basis. Which is why to me it is always a question of being sensible. You can tell and I admit that I tend to be quite liberal in terms of RPing. Give me a believable excuse as for how, and I will roll with it. Likewise, give me a believable excuse as for how your character is somehow connected to Merlwyb that does not make my brain throw off alarms, and not use this as a excuse/make question to remember it every single time, and you won't see me looking at you like a weirdo. Ain't saying no, more like, do it if you may, but moderation and caution in what you do, and find the right crowd.

I am of belief that it is completely fine. In fact, one how may play that out as how Windbite functions, giving the point an extra coat of razor sharp winds.

Having met the WoL or any major NPC is troublesome? In my opinion, no. Having the chance to interact with them, the world, or having your character perhaps making small contributions, maybe behind-the-scenes even, does not automatically put a character a station above in importance. And even if it does, really, does it matter that one's character is more "important" than yours? You are the one who assigns the degree of importance they may have to the world. You may choose your character to be another measly inhabitant, a bartender, a fisher maybe, or decide they have a higher call and bigger power to influence a little the world one lives in. Of course, as with everything, it all depends on how one RP'er runs with the theme. Also, as always, it is up to the other RP'er to accept a connection like that or not. You can't force it down to their throat. But once more, is there an issue? As long as you are sensible about it, to me, not at all.

As usual, I will be there!

Leanne would prolly ace at everything given how dedicated she can be. Programming, technical support, moving boxes left and right? YES SIR! ...OR she would abandon everything to go hitchhiking. Yes, she could do that.
-
It'll be fun, everyone loves Heresy. Spying on Mar, of course! Clearly this is the evidence she was looking for...or something. Oooh, Marti-senpai...oh yes, evidence. *cough*

I guess signing up for Cut Off the Gold as Alexia, although it makes little sense if at all =X.

Leanne has two possible reactions: First one, cower in shame and embarrassment and wail dejectedly at her own misfortune. Second one, go on a violent rampage at the first joke directed to her person. Which one happens depends on which company she is currently with/the coefficient of how punchable someone's face is!

I'm going, I'm going! Thanks Reppu, for signing up a spot for me! Leanne was there for the Shroud since the first event! And the entire campaign was a wild ride for her, becoming personal in various manners. Not only because she jumped in a void gate and had early brain probbing (snrk), but because of Guerrique and Ursuline, because of O-Rehn, the journey into Amdapor, amongst other things... I'd like to be there for the last page of this book.
